PS Store Black Friday Sale Has Awesome PS5, PS4 Deals

Just spend close to 90 euros on a bunch of indie games last month and I preordered Cyberpunk so Im keeping my wallet closed for at least a few months. Happy hunting for all you others.

Just got ps plus for 37.49 (mainly for bugsnax and 4 games in the Collection) Will let Now lapse because they keep duplicating games. Ensure they don’t and I’ll happily get both at this price.

As to the rest of this sale...all more expensive than physical versions , especially when taking into account trade back value.

Doom eternal at $20 seems good, I want cuphead but the discount is only $5.

Also tlou 2 is already cheaper than ghost of tsushima, and it seems the game physical disc is not only discounted in my country gameshop, but the special edition also discounted and still in stock 🤔

Control ultimate edition at 16.50 is a good deal if you want the ps5 version.

Im keeping wallet closed now. Cuphead is tempting but will be cheaper next time.

On top of ps5, i topped up ps plus for 32 pounds over at shopto.net today. and with demons souls, spiderman and sackboy, i should be set for some time

How do you look at these sales on the PS5? At the moment I seem to have to hope PS4 players are buying them so that they appear near the top when sorted by best sellers

I got 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim. Not sure how I'll like the combat but the reviews were full on praise.

Well £16.50 would of been the price I was willing to pay to get control on PS5 so very tempted. Crysis remastered apparently plays really well on PS5 so might be worth a punter £16.24

I need to resist the temptation to buy anything more until i have managed to secure a ps5. Looks like i may not be buying anything else for some time then...

I've finally decided to put my hands on FFVII Remake, but I'll get it physical since it is € 10 cheaper then on the Store. My copy will arrive tomorrow, while downloading the game would have take a week! 😂

@get2sammyb: Dunno if this has been asked before, but would it also be possible to mention the prices in Euro's in future. Not that big of a deal, but it would be welcome if possible

From the looks of it seems to be more a AAA than Indie sale, rather look for those in physical sales if I can rather than deal with the big downloads.
Streets of Rage 4 would be a tempting pick at about $27AU, think I'll hold off on Cuphead 'til its cheaper as I'm not likely to progress far enough in it in single player!
Picked up a few bargins in the Indie Sale,but still a number of ones a year or more old now that have never had PSN sales despite sales everywhere else. (And others that haven't had sales in 2 years+ since their last or only ones according to ps prices).
Given the other beat-em-up's on sale I wonder what WayForward's excuse will be this time about River City Girls? :-/

Greedfall is back to 15$ - I bought it last time it was on sale and it’s become one of my favorite games of the generation!

If you like choice/story RPGs I highly recommend! Graphically it could use polish but if that stuff doesn’t bother you, you’ll love it!

The new PS Store web site is terrible, broken, not user friendly and full of bugs. I'm not sure I understand why you described it as a "next gen" thing in pushsquare.
Works soooooo slow, much slower than the previous one (which was already slow), tons of 504/404 errors, e.g. I can't really get to the deals section, mobile version switches to Desktop version every second link, UI design that looks amateur and broken, can't really find things...
Unsurprisingly I had a terrible experience with the payment stage too, had to contact support.

It's really a shame that such a company has such a site, the previous one functioned much better.

@aSmilingMan id been waiting for ages for it to drop to about this price point... in the end, I caved, and picked it up full price (as I noted the 2nd hand copies were actually going UP in price, over time!) But I'd say, this is probably gonna be the best price you see for a while. Even Sekiro rarely drops below 35 quid, and thats nearly 2 years old.

@zupertramp Final fantasy 7 remake release before tlou 2 but still priced higher than tlou 2. Also I think this is the first time I see sony exclusive games special edition not sold out, even discounted. It seems the game bombed in asia after the bad word of mouth, the sales are really front loaded.

And I'd say Doom Eternal is worth about $15-$20 so it's a good time to buy.

@ApostateMage Control Ultimate Edition is a bit of a bargain at £16, and even cheaper taking discounted PSN credit into the picture. Never played it but always had my eye on it and this will go into my library ready for when the PS5 upgrade comes early next year

Is the THPS deluxe edition worth the extra few squid? For a skeleton, and a few cosmetics?

I got a gift card to Target for my birthday back in July and I've been waiting for Ghost of Tsushima to go on sale. I just picked it up for $17. It's a great day, everyone.

Picked up Walking Dead Saints and Sinners for PSVR! Heard some good things about it so I am looking forward to playing this on PS5. Hopefully it's got a boost in BC!

I purchased Death Stranding for $20 and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy for $10 at Gamestop. I've seen some gameplay of the former and am curious to experience this for myself.

@Matroska Googled and found youtube vids of people playing through it on PS5, so dunno why you think that?

@MPaulson I've seen seen screenshots of people trying to play it and getting a screen saying it can't be played. Though looking into it more, since you just said that, it seems like it's Resistance that isn't supported, not the main game. Even then, some people are saying it works for them so I'm not sure exactly what's going on with it. I just know I've seen a PS5 error screen posted with the RE3 logo and a message saying it's not supported - though again, it sounds like it's the multiplayer not the main game.

Great sale got Streets of rage 4 and Resident evil 3. Got Street fighter 5 and Darksiders genesis in the basket.

@MPaulson I woulda bought Control Ultimate for the PS5 upgrade if I hadn't bought the PS4 version before they announced this. I never played through so would liked to have on PS5 but not paying an extra £16 when they basically played everyone who backed the game at the start.

@get2sammyb When did you post this sale article? My browser says about 13 hours from now. Normally it would be 5 or 6 hours ahead or it would just give my time. I checked my tablet and it's settings are correct. 🤷

Unless there is a AAA for about £12-15 or an indie for £3-5 then count me out. No sense paying these prices when you can wait another year (and work on the massive backlog) and get them way cheaper.

Gawtdamnit! I need to stop buying games at launch. Not only are they cheaper later(duh), but I still haven't even played any of them yet. I want valhalla and miles morales, but I know they'll be cheaper come christmas.

@huntbearpig really enjoyed Death Stranding. Was nervous because of all the walking simulator complaints, but the setting and the story were so strong that I enjoyed all the trekking simply because I was always wondering what I’d see or what would happen next.

Finally snagged Persona 5 Royal for 50% off! Been very curious to try it as it’s not the kind of game I usually play, but the visuals and reviews were good enough to make me take the plunge at half off.

@TaterSlap69 I just started my play through and am really enjoying it. I can't explain it except to say I feel calmly anxious exploring the world and encountering enemies.

Also, P5 was a great game for me. I didn't play the Royal edition, but I read it eliminated the few issues I had with the original release. Have fun being a Phantom Thief!
