@Skeletor85 This is precisely it. I was hoping to hear that each player got their own screen (split screen in one room). That way you can go wherever you want. When this review mentions how large the levels are, it sounds as though it was designed to function like this.
But yeah - as soon as they mentioned 4-Player Co-op as a feature for this game, my first thought was of Sonic 2 and how it never functioned. A game built on speed and momentum can’t be kept up with if the screen is moving at a different speed than you.
@bremkat35 Been playing Immortals... It's great if you want to really sink some time into a game. The amount of things you can level up, collect and stuff to do - it's incredibly Ubisoft. If you're in it for the game play primarily, go DMC5. You'll avoid some of the obtuse frustrations that come with Fenyx.
Plus has been really hit and miss this year. Some weeks have really surprised me with the quality of the games released. Some months have been pretty bad. This month is pretty bad. And like others, I think they need to do something about the fragmentation of Plus and Now.
Don't know if it's related, but my PS5 isn't working at all right now. I can boot up safe mode but short of completely wiping it, I'm not sure what to do.
When Microsoft mentioned that all their games would be cross-gen for the first couple of years, I scoffed. What’s the point then of buying the new system? PlayStation was offering a showcase of games that were only going to be playable on the PS5.
I’m not a fanboy of either company. I’ve gone back forth from generation to generation. This dedication to taking generational leaps in game design was the primary reason I chose the PS5 over the XBox.
I’m happy that those who haven’t been able to get their hands on the new system will still have access to these new titles. But a part of me definitely regrets putting my money down on a system under this misleading context.
What would folks say is the best EDF game I can get for my PS5 right now? I love this series right back to the first one, but I missed most of the PS4 era, so I’m behind.
In my playing it, it seemed like it got so many things right, but it was just something I couldn’t get into or get excited about. Whether the visuals were too loud, the arenas too empty, the aim too... aimless? I don’t know. Mechanics are rock solid though and it is ambitious taking a simple concept and adding a lot to it. But I’m at arm’s length and I’m not sure I’m patient enough to try to overcome it.
I think it looks fun. I’ll echo the sentiment that I wouldn’t look at it as a $70 game, but in its current place as a Plus title, I’m really looking forward to it. And I’m not a multiplayer competitive kinda guy either.
Will eventually use the Help feature, I just haven’t required it yet. But I’m awful at most video games, so I know it’ll come in handy. The shape screen looks like a great idea, I just am not social enough to take advantage of it. The mission cards are great and I use them often!
I am subscribed to both. For now. I signed back up for Plus when I got my PS5 and added Now to give it a shot. I like both, but I’m having trouble seeing the value in keeping both, as the cost will likely be prohibitive over time.
Seems like it would be smart to offer a discount on one for buying the other. Buy one, get the other 50% off. I think they’d sell more of both.
Horizon Zero Dawn? Don’t mind if I do! I agree that having two different services seems confusing and unnecessary, but I’m subscribed to both and am enjoying having access to much of the PS4 library that passed me by. They definitely need to find a way to merge the two, not only for the convenience, but to make the pricing more competitive with Game Pass which is still arguably better than Now/Plus combined.
I had actually lost all interest in PS games about 3 years into the PS4’s lifespan. But with the lineup this year and the excitement over the new console launch, I not only loved this year, but have gone back to visit previous titles I had missed.
Now everything else 2020 can go **** itself. But Sony gaming? Awesome
DualSense should be a major selling point for the latest console war, but the hard part is that people won’t know how much it adds to the immersion until they actually experience it. Astro’s Playroom is an absolute stunner. I hope these new controllers aren’t ignored.
I’m not sure I get it. Make it universal? I really like the new controller and don’t have any issues with the presentation. I think it’s their best and I can’t wait to try the features. No complaints. An explanation of “we thought this looked cool and give it a premium aesthetic” would have made more sense however.

Re: Feature: What Are Your Most Anticipated PS5, PS4 Games for the Rest of 2021?
Sifu, Psychonauts 2 and Axiom Verge 2 for this cat
Re: Poll: What's Your Favourite PS5, PS4 Game of 2021 So Far?
Resident Evil, Ratchet and Clank, Guilty Gear
Easy for me, but there are more games on this list than I though there would be.

On hold right now with technical support...

Re: PS Plus June 2021 PS5, PS4 Games Announced
I wasn’t even aware there was anything past Virtua Fighter 3. Right on!
Love the selection this month. Operation Tango looks like it could be a lot of fun. And always down for some Star Wars dogfighting. Nicely done!

Re: Sifu Is the Next Game from Absolver Dev Sloclap, Coming to PS5 and PS4
Highlight of the presentation to me. Looks awesome and right up my alley. Can’t wait to see how it plays.

@Mittsu Just wishing you “an” happy birthday.
It will always be wrong to me.

Re: Destruction AllStars PS5 Gameplay Finally Shown in Brand New Trailer
The gameplay looks fun, but the aesthetics are nauseating. Hopefully the former can overshadow the latter.

Yup. 2020 handily.

Re: PS5 Scalpers Are Selling Systems for $1,500/£1,000 on eBay
Until people stop buying from scalpers, there will be scalpers. I don’t begrudge anyone in these transactions.
