Re: PS5 Pro Announced, Costs $700 and Out in November

The_Gremlin

If this is a sign of things to come i doubt I'd be able to buy a ps6 day one and I've bought all consoles going back to the original playstation on release. Hope it sells poorly to send a message that £800 is too much to lay out b4 even buying a game to play on the console!

Re: Soapbox: My Colleagues Bet On How Far I'd Make It Through Final Fantasy VII Remake

The_Gremlin

This was also my first forage into the world of final fantasy and i must admit i loved FFvii more than i ever could have expected.
This is why i love ps+ so much, it gives you a chance to play games that otherwise you'd never try.
So as soon as i finished the game i decided to play FFxv which is on the ps+ collection on ps5, got to admit it's nowhere near as good as Ffvii remake but I'll stick it out to the end (on chapter 9 atm)
Looking forward to remake pt 2 though

Re: Poll: What Are Your Thoughts on Black Friday?

The_Gremlin

I've spent a lot more than i intended to, but got some great deals on GTsport (£18). Destiny 2 (£20). Horizon: zero dawn (£20), and South Park: Fractured but whole (£28). That should keep me quiet for some time.
Also i know the missus has got me Uncharted: The Lost Legacy for Xmas for (£13).
I agree with Sammy, Black Friday has been very good this year in the UK for us gamers.

Re: Farpoint's Full Experience Will Cost You a Pretty Penny

The_Gremlin

It's no different to all the plastic guitars I've forked out for with each guitar hero release.
Hopefully the aim controller will be used with future games too.
It was always going to be this price in my mind.
Give it 12 months and you'll probably pick this bundle up for less than £50.

Re: Poll: What Are Your Thoughts on PlayStation VR So Far?

The_Gremlin

If people actually tried it out then they would understand. So many folks on here going for ps4 pro over psvr, but on ps4 pro all you will get is the same games looking better ( if u have a 4k tv). Psvr is a totally different experience with different games. I don't regret buying psvr one bit

Re: Talking Point: What's Your PlayStation VR Launch Experience Been Like?

The_Gremlin

Absolutely love Arkham vr. The sense of scale when looking around Gotham is fantastic. And yes i still feel vertigo in vr.
Had a quick couple of goes on battlezone and again was blown away at how great it felt to be in my own tank.
Got so much content to get through over the next few days it's unreal. Might have to try Kitchen later.

Re: Round Up: Star Wars Battlefront PS4 Reviews Feel the Force

The_Gremlin

I had this pre-ordered since it was available to, but I have cancelled my pre order this week. After playing the beta i was underwhelmed but kept my pre-order alive, but after playing a few hours on the EA all access I've decided there just isn't enough content there to purchase at full price (£42 at Amazon). Maybe if you fork out another £40 for the season pass it might feel like a full games worth.
After seeing what happened with destiny I've decided to wait for the Inevitable Game of the year edition which will likely come next year with all the dlc.

Re: DriveClub's Servers Appear to Be Still Smoking Like a Burnt Out Sports Car

The_Gremlin

Driveclub would have been a day one purchase for me when ps4 was released. But with all the problems that have dogged it's delay and now it's release i doubt I'll buy it anymore. Guess I'll try the ps+ version when we eventually get it but it would have to blow my socks off for me to consider buying the upgrade now. It's a bloody shame really but I've just lost interest in the title.

Re: Talking Point: What Are Your Fondest Memories of the PSP?

The_Gremlin

I remember getting my psp from Japan before the UK release along with a couple of guys I worked with. We used to spend most of our shift on it and getting very little work done at the time. LocoRocco stands out as probably my favourite game on psp. Also gotta mention Lumines and patapon as favourites too
