One Piece has been out on Netflix, there coming out with season 2 soon. Is there a Cowboy Bebop live series?? I would love to watch that. For a game from anime, that would be a nice one if Sony could pull it off imo.
PlayStation hasn’t lost a lot of steam surprisingly it being out since November 2020. You’re seeing an increased index of PS4 players this year upgrading as well. I think it’s going to have a hit year next year with GTAVI, there’s no denying that.
Saros releasing in March. Marathon releasing around March ( I’m hoping it will be a fun title). GTAVI releasing in the fall maybe October with Wolverine probably coming before it in September. This seems to be a good year with first party releases with GTA moving consoles in the Q4.
I also have a Switch 2 and it’s selling right now of course with it only picking up steam from here. But for me I’m waiting for some more games. It’s just been sitting at home, I’ve been playing BF6 and Arc Raiders at the moment on my Pro. And my daughter she doesn’t really play it that much yet either. Just been taking over my PS5 to play Roblox.
Metroid and Hyrule Warriors look good to me.. I’m looking forward to seeing what is in store for it next year.
The only problem with the console is the library of first party games have been so spread out. Usually towards the middle of the console life it just takes off with games or it did with prior generations. But it’s not necessarily PlayStation as it is that the development has ballooned to 5 years or more for a AAA game.
They mentioned in the past about creating AA games to fill in between but have not seen or heard nothing since.
And we all aware of the push for live service games. Which I enjoy them if they are appealing. But the cancellation of certain games has definitely made a gap between other first party titles.
Sony also mentioned bringing back IPs from the past which I would enjoy. Also fostering and owning IP’s over buying out companies. It just doesn’t happen over night unfortunately.
I really don’t understand the dislike of this game. GG did something different when they released this game. I beat both main entries. And they both had me glued in the story. And I liked taking down the massive thunder jaws and slaughterspines. It’s a good series. I just don’t understand all the backlash. I pretty much enjoyed all the first party IP’s.
I hope it turns out well. NCSoft make good MMO’s. I still find it confusing that Sony had two companies work on the same game with both being online.. I’m sure both are two different adaptations. But I’m just curious on what Guerrilla Games can do to make this game be a successful online experience.
There’s really not a reason it couldn’t. They’ve released games on consoles. I know that’s not their biggest market but there are some who just want to play games on console.
But in other words. They are working on an online Horizon game themselves and that’s the only thing I can see why they wouldn’t release it on PS5.
I hope what they’re doing is going to suck lol.
@AdamNovice I don’t know how either but here we are. I just seen the previous leak from a year or two ago and I didn’t care for the art direction that they took. I was under the assumption that one of the titles were canceled and I was hoping it was the one I’ve seen.
@LogicStrikesAgain
They are primarily PC/Mobile yes. They made good with GuildWars to GuildWars 2.. and some others over the years. That’s their bread and butter.
But they do have a games coming to PS5. There were multiple projects in production but one may have been cancelled.
I hope it does well.. Either way I hope it does well.
Kind of surprised by Disney+ being the outlet. Netflix has game anime series of SplinterCell and TombRaider. Not that I care I have both. I don’t watch Disney+ that much since I’m just waiting for new StarWars seasons. The new Daredevil season was really good though. I guess this will give Disney+ something since they lack on depth.

The trailer looked nice. I was thinking the mobile version of the game was canceled. But I guess this a mobile and PC game. I don’t see why it couldn’t come to PS5, NCSoft’s Throne and Liberty is on PS5. I guess time will tell. Just kind of confused why it won’t launch on console. I do hope it does well. I always liked NCSoft back in the days of the first GuildWars and was my first real MMO. So I know they are talented just have a concern with the classes. What classes would they offer if everyone has a bow and sword?
@CielloArc
Are you sure about that? They do make really good sequels. Forbidden West was really good. It’s been a minute since I played Until Dawn, but I don’t recall FW to be worse. More like a step up.
God of War Ragnarok was a great game as well.. definitely was a step up as well.
Now if you say you liked the first games better that’s can be an accurate statement but to say most people. I disagree. In your defense sequels sometimes don’t live up to the first. But for this, I don’t think that’s the case.
I like both. And both are great in their own way. But choosing one over the other. Jin is more relatable to me. It doesn’t take away from Atsu though, because in the end she wasn’t just blinded by revenge. She allows change and have something more meaningful to fight for.
Also I like the fact at the end of GoT you can choose your own ending. Both are great titles as mentioned.. loved both stories.
I wouldn’t mind if they waited to release it in 2028. This generation took a long time to get where it is now. They could wait another year to release the PS6 and the PS5 would still not lose its appeal. They are 2 years behind in terms of their first party library. Just now getting to where it should have been. Last year not one triple A title released but AstroBot, and that wasn’t considered a major title. There isn’t going to be a substantial need for new hardware as it was in the past at the moment IMO. I’ll get a PS6 regardless but it wont have a big attachment rate if they release it sooner than needed.
@Fiendish-Beaver I could be wrong but I highly doubt the series S/X would be sold the entire next gen. For one they usually discontinue the previous consoles after a short period of the new consoles. I think all previous generations had an early cut off date for new games and they transitioned over to the next, not like how Sony continued support years after. In example PS2 and more recently the PS4. Only thing I can see them prolonging the Seires S/X is because of the next console is looking to be over double in price. Over 8 million copies on PS4 sounds good to me. Selling that under 2 years is not a bad accomplishment. Before the discounted price.
Selling over 10 million units for PS4 and PC. Don’t see how that’s not good.
The review of the game was 2 weeks before the game was released. The whole launch was overly exaggerated on how bad it was. They fixed the issues at launch.
Death Stranding 2 is a beautiful game but I haven’t played in it awhile and haven’t got far. I’ll need dive deeper in it.
Split Fiction was actually a fun game. Me and my daughter beat it together. I like couch co-op and makes a rewarding bond with your child playing games.
Battlefield 6 has been really good. BR Quads have been really fun with some friends of mine. The extraction mode, Gauntlet is fun too. But it’s not really an extraction game. Been pretty fun to play.
Ghost of Yotei to me is a beautiful well put together game. I voted for it to be game of the year. I still wish there was more to do after you finished it, but that’s the single players games for you. Looking forward to playing Legends.
I haven’t played Arc Raiders yet but I will be soon. Looks to be what I wanted in a multiplayer gsme.
Sony made a lot of good decisions but telling Bend Studios to make something different was not one.

What a nice remake. They tried to combine the same halo engine with unreal engine is what I’ve heard few months ago. It looks fantastic. I will be playing this game however I would like to have multiplayer mode. But.. the couch co-op is a good to bring back and playing 4 player co-op will be a nice feat as well.
@DonkeyFantasy
That’s a good comparison.. I loved Fairgames. So much mayhem from a military style shooter. Loved when I was battling 6 man teams and I was the last person on my squad trying to res them and come back to win.. those were fun times.
To think Fairgames is the only choice out there.. obviously leaning heavily into sarcasm 🙄
@daveofduncan I’m playing Battlefield 6 and played it since PS2/Xbox era. I obviously know what it’s about. Wanting different modes that don’t play the same a problem? To each his own right. Just stating it would be good for them to offer something Ike this.
@REALAIS
I understand it can’t be just added in overnight. I’m just stating people want something different than the same old tdm/domination type of style of multiplayer experience. And extraction shooters take more of a team approach and it to me is more fulfilling.
Infinity Ward is coming with a DMZ 2.0 supposedly next year with the release of the new Call of Duty. If it’s a standalone mode that you would had to pay for, I would play that.
I may be beating a dead horse with this one.. but I would much more prefer a DMZ style objective based game. Open world sandbox style with completing personal missions and killing other squads and extracting with loot that you accumulated. It’s intense and firefights were always fun.
If Battlefield would offer this mode and its done right. It would be amazing. I have many friends who agree.
@TheArt
What held it back at launch was that Cell Processor was difficult to develop for. That and you had 512mb that was shared with the gpu and cpu. Once they had a better dev tools and were actually trying to help the devs, it got better..
But definitely glad that they went to a more develop friendly approach with the PS4 and PS5.
The 360 was popular but that 33% failure rate was more like 60-70%.. I remember countless of people bought one 3 times or even more. So you had that account for a lot of sales. On the contrary they did have a lot of good games and made Sony reevaluate their strategy.
Sure miss those days.. I hold the PS3 memories dearly.
Every generation towards the end I was ready for the next gen but because this gen has been so different. Maybe I’ll hold my judgement until the reveal. But i just want more first party titles at a faster dev cycle. I’ve read Kojima would like AI to assist in the repetition process of making games. If it can help with dev time I’m all for it.
There is so many risk today.. I wish things were like in the PS2 era and PS3 era where they made games from their own artistic abilities and took risk. But nowadays it has to hit every note or it’s tanked on metacritic and people won’t buy it. I love the games now but I miss the games that were fun but not AAA.
A couple years ago they were talking about making AA budget games that were to fill in the space between AAA games. Now a game is about 40 hours long and it’s all good. But taking 5 years to do it is where it’s tiresome to wait as a gamer.
Based on the multiplayer I’d give it an 8.. i really don’t know what they did that was so revolutionary to be honest. But they did go back to what I remember it was. And that made me happy.
When I played DMZ on Call of Duty MW 2 (2022) it was to me the best experience I had in a long time. Mission based extraction shooters with a squad and no respawn. That makes the game much more thrilling fighting off other squads and finishing missions in a timely manner.
I’m kind of tired of the same copy and paste. Yea it’s fun but it’s not something to keep me entertained for days on in.
Looking at the map there is a lot of area that is not explored. I was assuming that they were using that for DLC story. Even though I agree the main story was complete after finishing the game. I still like to play more. Ghost of Tsushima had Iki Island and it played into the story if you played the Director’s Cut.
So I don’t know what direction they would take but I would gladly play it .
I had a feeling that this would happen. I’m tying to be optimistic for the 2026 Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty. Because it’s rumored for a new DMZ 2.0 not the mobile mess they are showing.
2022 Call of Duty MW2 was by far my favorite entry.
That being said.. I had a feeling they would lose the creative people at Call of Duty after the buyout looking at Microsoft’s track record.
Not being a fan of the guy, but you had Bob Kotick told Microsoft that they weren’t a “creative company” and they shouldn’t be in gaming. But he was going to get a big incentive for the sale and he was out the door anyways. So he obviously didn’t care.
They are losing a long time veteran from their Halo Studios and it looked to be a bitter departure. Not including the creative devs that departed after that latest cancellation of games and major layoff hit.
Like I stated. I will wait for official sales data.. All we’ve seen was the sales data from Uk and Japan.. when the whole thing comes out then we can make a opinion.. I’m willing to be corrected but I think the game is a profound hit. Great game.. I bought the physical copy because I collect memorial entries. I don’t buy every game physical. Like BF6 I downloaded it.
When Sony releases the physical and digital attachment rate then call it a flop or whatever. It’s not in my book.
An Xbox logo handheld made by a third party company.
Watching the video. Paying $1000 for a 2 year old game to look like that. Naw I’ll pass. There isn’t anything close about it.
I understand it’s a handheld but that is reaching to say the least.
I’ve been waiting to see official sales data to put the naysayers to rest. I bought a physical copy because I like to have a collection of certain games. But I know the digital sales are obviously more nowadays. So having official sales figures would be nice to see.
The game is phenomenal, even if I may like Ghost of Tsushima story better and choosing alternate endings. I enjoyed Ghost of Yotei. It was a breath of fresh air. I enjoyed the story that was bent on revenge then at the end you realize she could start to see past her vengeance.
But also SpiderMan 3 was roughly $315 million.. Ghost of Tsushima was $60 million. So I see Ghost of Yotei I think is around $70 million. That is a feat compared to most triple A titles.
It just doesn’t seem like it should be already. Every generation I was ready for the next one. But this gen hasn’t even reached its peak.
Haven’t played a new Naughty Dog game although one is coming, just taking 5 years to release. No word from Bend Studios, only one game from Santa Monica.. just seems game production is so slow. And I know the reasoning..
I’ll get a PS6 but it’s exhausting to spend a lot of
money to get fewer and fewer first party games.
I’m playing the game and I find myself more frustrated than enthused. I’m not trying to be a complainer but the shotgun at ranges from 40 yards out to up close is automatically one shot kill.. I can’t stand responding and being shot as soon as I respond in. lol
Definitely played BF before and was decent with BF BC2 BF 3 and BF4.. I’ve even tried to look up videos to get my settings better.
I’m not trying be a baby but boy it’s frustrating the games I’ve been playing.
I really liked the game. I finished the story with a lot of exploration and side quest finished. I would give it a 9.5 .. very beautiful game and is an upgrade over the first title in terms of fidelity and draw distance. But even though I really enjoyed the story.. Ghost of Tsushima to me is still a better story. Ghost of Tsushima was a 10 in my book. I’m sure if I go back I would prefer Yotei’s improvements.. i will like to see the content they will add 6 months from now. The Legends and side story.
I won’t argue with the campaign.. Even Call of Duty: Ghost had a good campaign. Something that they rarely dropped the ball on.. up until the recently rushed MW3. I bought BF6 for the multiplayer obviously, and I’m sure most buy Call of Duty for the same reason. Not saying that they should botch the campaign.
But what I’m holding out for is hopefully a new DMZ mode for the 2026 Call of Duty. It was a shame they stop supporting it because it had a very active community until it became infested with hackers.
That’s not how I remembered it. BF3 was game changing back on PS3. When you shot from a distance you had to articulate your shot. Had Large maps, flying aircraft. Something Call of Duty didn’t offer, and visuals were better on BF3. The recent Call of Duty MW and MW2 were really good. (2022) MW2 being my favorite with DMZ.
What would help the PS6 or even now is finding away to get dev time drastically lower. Waiting 5-6 years for a game is kind of hard. Especially a single player game where you finish it and platinum it. The game is fun but what is there to do after that. I beat Ghost of Yotei and I throughly enjoyed it. But what’s next? Housemarque game in March. Wolverine late 2026. And this is actually a better year than we had in the last 2-3 years. If they can find away to get the dev time to half the amount it takes would be an incredible feat. I know games have so much more than they did 15 years ago I got it. But I care more about games than I do for a PS6 at this point moment. I’m happy with my Pro.
I got a Switch 2 about a month ago, and I’m waiting for must have games .
I loved Super Smash Brothers. Been playing it since N64. SSB Ultimate didn’t release too far out from the launch of the Switch, but I’m reading now the next installment may not release until 2029. That’s crazy..
I initially bought the switch 2 for my daughter but I want there be some more games to play together. We beat SplitFiction on my PS5. So now I’ll just wait and see what’s coming out next for the Switch2.
If you guys remember. Sony did the same with Battlefield 3 on PS3. Microsoft was paying to have timed exclusive DLC on Call
of Duty on 360 for most of that gen. Then when BF3 came out it was such a big change from COD.
Then Sony went to Call of Duty during the PS4-PS5 gen and now we are here.

But honestly I wouldn’t mind having Chris Pratt playing in the movie. If it has some sort of serious but comical vibe like StormTroopers.

Re: Battlefield 6's Battle Royale Mode Set to Shadow Drop on PS5 Next Week
@daveofduncan
I’m playing Battlefield 6 and played it since PS2/Xbox era. I obviously know what it’s about.
Wanting different modes that don’t play the same a problem?
To each his own right. Just stating it would be good for them to offer something Ike this.
Re: Battlefield 6's Battle Royale Mode Set to Shadow Drop on PS5 Next Week
@REALAIS
Re: Battlefield 6's Battle Royale Mode Set to Shadow Drop on PS5 Next Week
I may be beating a dead horse with this one.. but I would much more prefer a DMZ style objective based game. Open world sandbox style with completing personal missions and killing other squads and extracting with loot that you accumulated. It’s intense and firefights were always fun.
If Battlefield would offer this mode and its done right. It would be amazing. I have many friends who agree.
Re: PS5 Surpasses Lifetime PS3 Sales in the US
@TheArt
Re: PS5 Surpasses Lifetime PS3 Sales in the US
The 360 was popular but that 33% failure rate was more like 60-70%.. I remember countless of people bought one 3 times or even more. So you had that account for a lot of sales.
On the contrary they did have a lot of good games and made Sony reevaluate their strategy.
Sure miss those days.. I hold the PS3 memories dearly.
Re: Sony Game Helldivers 2 Is Proving a Monstrous Success on Xbox
It’s a good game. I still play it. Live Service are typically on all platforms anyways, glad they get to play.
Re: 'Even I Can't Tell the Difference': Shuhei Yoshida Thinks PS6 Needs Something Other Than Just More Power
Re: Former God of War Dev Says Major Studios Should Make Smaller Games to Complement the Big Ones
Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Battlefield 6?
Based on the multiplayer I’d give it an 8.. i really don’t know what they did that was so revolutionary to be honest. But they did go back to what I remember it was. And that made me happy.
When I played DMZ on Call of Duty MW 2 (2022) it was to me the best experience I had in a long time. Mission based extraction shooters with a squad and no respawn. That makes the game much more thrilling fighting off other squads and finishing missions in a timely manner.
I’m kind of tired of the same copy and paste. Yea it’s fun but it’s not something to keep me entertained for days on in.
Re: The Possibility of Ghost of Yotei DLC Could Be Down to You
Looking at the map there is a lot of area that is not explored.
Re: Call of Duty's Future Under Xbox Leaves Former Director 'Immensely Worried'
Re: Ghost of Yotei Sales Fall Off In Japan, But PS5 Exclusive Still Sticks Around in Second Place
Re: Here's How Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Holds Up on the $1,000 ROG Xbox Ally X
An Xbox logo handheld made by a third party company.
Watching the video. Paying $1000 for a 2 year old game to look like that. Naw I’ll pass. There isn’t anything close about it.
I understand it’s a handheld but that is reaching to say the least.
Re: Ghost of Yotei Is Sony's Biggest PS5 Launch Since Spider-Man 2 in Europe
Re: Talking Point: PS6 In 2027 - How Do You Feel About Sony's Next-Gen Console?
It just doesn’t seem like it should be already. Every generation I was ready for the next one. But this gen hasn’t even reached its peak.
Haven’t played a new Naughty Dog game although one is coming, just taking 5 years to release. No word from Bend Studios, only one game from Santa Monica.. just seems game production is so slow. And I know the reasoning..
I’ll get a PS6 but it’s exhausting to spend a lot of
money to get fewer and fewer first party games.
Re: Battlefield 6 (PS5) - The Best Battlefield in Over a Decade
I’m playing the game and I find myself more frustrated than enthused. I’m not trying to be a complainer but the shotgun at ranges from 40 yards out to up close is automatically one shot kill.. I can’t stand responding and being shot as soon as I respond in. lol
Definitely played BF before and was decent with BF BC2 BF 3 and BF4..
I’ve even tried to look up videos to get my settings better.
I’m not trying be a baby but boy it’s frustrating the games I’ve been playing.
Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Ghost of Yotei?
I really liked the game. I finished the story with a lot of exploration and side quest finished. I would give it a 9.5 .. very beautiful game and is an upgrade over the first title in terms of fidelity and draw distance. But even though I really enjoyed the story.. Ghost of Tsushima to me is still a better story. Ghost of Tsushima was a 10 in my book. I’m sure if I go back I would prefer Yotei’s improvements.. i will like to see the content they will add 6 months from now. The Legends and side story.
Re: Call of Duty Is Trying Everything It Can to Make You Play Black Ops 7 Over Battlefield 6
@MrStark
Re: Call of Duty Is Trying Everything It Can to Make You Play Black Ops 7 Over Battlefield 6
@MrStark
Re: PS6 Out 'in a Few Years' as Sony, AMD Discuss the Future of Games
Re: PS4's Record-Setting US Sales Pace Is Being Comfortably Beaten by Switch 2
I got a Switch 2 about a month ago, and I’m waiting for must have games .
I loved Super Smash Brothers. Been playing it since N64. SSB Ultimate didn’t release too far out from the launch of the Switch, but I’m reading now the next installment may not release until 2029. That’s crazy..
I initially bought the switch 2 for my daughter but I want there be some more games to play together. We beat SplitFiction on my PS5. So now I’ll just wait and see what’s coming out next for the Switch2.
Re: Now Xbox Owns Call of Duty, Sony's Investing Its Marketing Budget into Battlefield 6 Instead
