Absolutely loving Vice City so far, no issues whatsoever. Probably helps that I never played it when it came out (GTA III is the only one of the Trilogy I owned as a teen) so have no preconceptions or nostalgia. The voice-acting & radio stuff holds up. Great fun.
My wife is currently playing through it and we both absolutely love the world - the characters, art style, score, voice acting, plot, historical inspirations, political themes... It all just perfectly tessellates.
So to read that some of those most responsible for its creation have left the fold, well... That hurts. Big time. Disco Elysium definitely deserves sequels but without those minds involved I'm very skeptical of whether any would pass muster.
@GreatAuk Currently playing thru RE7 now and just wanna say you are 100% spot on about how frustrating it is early doors. Full disclosure: only played remakes of RE & RE2 prior to this...but even so it's weird to be in a position where you can't 'kill' literally any enemy, and are purely engaged in avoiding/escaping them.
It's like they took the Tyrant aka Mr. X and built an entire game around avoiding him...which was easily the most annoying part of RE2
Hmmm, this may very well tempt me back... Was always interested in Man of Medan but somehow never got round to it. Really enjoyed Until Dawn, and the legend of the 'Ourang Medan' which I presume inspired the title/subject is something I already knew about, so this seems very much in my wheelhouse!
Crash 4 might be a bit of fun as well, so that's two games I don't have and could enjoy.
Arcadeggedon I have literally no idea about, which is fine.
You might have gained a (re)subscriber with this, PS Plus Essential...
Hilariously, I haven't played the 2018 God of War (or any God of War)...and this slate isn't enuff to tempt me back to PS Plus, so guess that record is set to continue lol
@MiaowMinx ditto...tho latest discount has me sorely tempted.
Never finished GTA III, barely started San Andreas, yet to play Vice City. So if they could just iron out the bugs and numerous AI upscaling issues, I'd be throwing money at them!
As it is, with everything I've read & seen, it just looks...cheap & broken.
@UltimateOtaku91 I despise Souls-likes for this very reason. Tried Bloodborne and kept dying after getting past first enemy. Great world-building and story-telling in these games, but if I can't progress then what's the point?
As someone who loves the history of the French Revolution, I really hope this game is as accessible as they said.
Absolutely loved all 3 Mafia games, though the third was pretty buggy and Clay's character turned out to be pretty unlikeable (especially when compared to the protagonists of the previous two games).
Funny thing is, if I still had PS+ I'd be super excited to play Fifa 22. Last edition I played was Fifa 17, so it'd be interesting to see how far - if at all - the series has progressed...
That said, my subscription expired April 26th...and this slate was not enough to tempt me into renewal. The offerings have been too poor for too long. Maybe June will feature something worth diving back in for...

Re: A New Age Dawns as Anno 1800 Is Officially Announced for PS5 Release
@Scarko Ditto. Same goes for all or almost all the other PC games ported to PS5 - Crusader Kings, Football Manager etc.
Kinda frustrating as a PS4 owner, but hey-ho.

Re: PS Store Essential Picks Sale Is All Killer, No Filler on PS5, PS4
Fast approaching the time that you'll have to be at least 41 to remember The Sums...
Re: Hideo Kojima Cryptically Hints at Impending Reveal
Played through Death Stranding. It was...fine. Apart from the interminable cutscenes and dialogue. MGS had nothing on it.
Death Stranding 2, though? Who wants this? Who has the time?
Re: Dead Space Remake Gameplay Drops Tomorrow
Absolutely LOVED the original, but no PS5 plus the fact that The Callisto Protocol is coming to PS4 means this one will be waaaay down on my wishlist!

Very sad.
Re: PS Plus Essential PS5, PS4 Games for September 2022 Leaked
Delighted with NfS Heat... Never heard of Toem, but sure even 1 good game a month makes me happy.
Re: Rumour: PS Plus Essential PS5, PS4 Games for August 2022 Have Leaked
3 PS4 games? 3 single-player games?!
Ok, ya got me. It's been a few months, but I gotta re-subscribe.
Re: Hands On: Rollerdrome Feels Utterly Phenomenal to Play
Big Jet Set Radio vibes off this... No bad thing.

@nyXhc420 GTA trilogy would be great
Re: Talking Point: What PS Plus Games for PS5, PS4 in June 2022 Do You Want?
If at least 1 of the offerings is good enough, I'll sign up again. Haven't missed PS Plus during my month off though...

Re: Konami Just Had Its Most Profitable Year Ever
This is inordinately depressing. We're even further from them being willing to sell the rights to their dormant IPs e.g. Metal Gear Solid, Silent Hill

Can't wait to see what they do with a prequel!

Re: Rumour: PS Plus PS5, PS4 Games for May 2022 Leaked Early
Haven't played a FIFA since 17, and haven't heard of the other two games... This is somewhat tempting though. Will check reviews fursr
