Dead Space Remake Gameplay Drops Tomorrow

We truly are in the era of remakes.....

I’ll be taking a look 👀 at this tomorrow then.

@kyleforrester87 Yeah it's definitely a case of nostalgia goggles, as with TLoU! There are some massive improvements here and the difference is very stark once the original is dragged out into the cold light of day for comparison.

I played some Dead Space recently and then checked out some remake footage and my god, they've done a good job spicing up those visual flourishes. Lighting is just a world apart.

@Gloamin they have taken fans input as well apparently in this remake.

@anoyonmus a good decision in the case of Dead Space, me thinks. Saw them editing some sound effects for extra chunkiness at fan's direction as well as perfecting weight and feel of weapons.

So stoked for this. Absolutely loved the series (though they did get marginally worse with each iteration (particularly with the unnecessary co-op in the third game)). Really hoping that they have a Collector's Edition. I still have my Plasma Cutter Tool Collector's Edition, though it has never left the box.

Really looking forward to this as didn’t get chance to experience it first time round, bought a pre owned copy that after first half hour or so kept crashing and never got round to buying it again so I can’t wait.

@playstation1995 Strong agree. I'm not in particulurly hyped. But this could lead to more dead space in the future which I'd be hyped for.

@kyleforrester87 Come on! The devs have been upfront and even taking tips from fans. It'll be an excellent remake. Stop asking devs to reinvent the wheel for you.

Well if doing the first then I hope the second one is also remade too.

Very much looking forward to this game. In an era of remakes and remasters, this is a game that actually deserves to be remade or remastered since it’s a dormant franchise and nearly a decade old.
As for the cover art, I actually prefer this (see link below) but…….whatever - it’s just box art.

I don't think this game will be bad I just think that Callisto protocol will be so good that it's going to really overshadow the remake

Love it. One of the true greats of last gen.
Even EA can't mess this up.
Surely there can't be 'press X to upgrade' around every corner, or 'press 0 to skip chapter' or perhaps 'press X to respawn'.
With each press being tied to a lovely micro transaction.

Please EA don't FU a great game.

@Sqush-Pare Yeah, I kind of hoping the fad dies or a decade. It's like bell bottom pants, cool for a tiny brief moment, but now let us move on to making new games and especially new IPs.

Absolutely LOVED the original, but no PS5 plus the fact that The Callisto Protocol is coming to PS4 means this one will be waaaay down on my wishlist!
