Yes! 4 character single player game. I was worried seeing the 4 characters that this was going to be yet another co-op live service where I'd be told to "get your friends together" - friends I don't have.
Just blows my mind how badly Sony screwed this up. All they had to do was ensure the PSVR1's best titles were somehow ported over with a resolution boost. Even having PSVR1 level of functionality but with better graphics would've been better than not being able to play those games at all. For me, that was a real dealbreaker, esp as someone who bought and supported the PSVR1 and grew to love many of its games that I could no longer play on PSVR2 without keeping TWO consoles and TWO VR headsets around along with the PSVR1's miles of thick cables...And then the lack of first-party titles...where is Astrobot 2? Where is Blood & Truth 2?
If it finally puts an end to the silly, immature "my w*enie station is better than your no-s*x box" arguments that break out like a sewage plant explosion every time, then I'm all for it.
When it comes to VR, nothing is more immersive than first-person games, but in that regard, they mainly have horror titles...RE7, RE4, Walking Dead, Dark Pictures Switchback, etc. I don't get this fascination for heart-attack-inducing horror games. Need more titles like Blood & Truth, London Heist, and of course, HL: Alyx.
@RonnieL But not "everyone and their dog" make OLED headsets like the PSVR 2 and I'd have loved to take my plunge into VR with this but alas, not with such a pi** poor library devoid of most of the cool PSVR 1 titles. I don't see any value in buying the PSVR 2 solely for playing with PS5...but if it also supported PC VR I'd buy it in a heartbeat, as I'd still be buying PSVR 2 exclusives from Sony's store but I'd also be able to use it to play the many racing games on PC which are not available to play in VR on PSVR 2.
@Serialsid Who says they're not making any money on the hardware? That's just your assumption. If they wanted to be making money solely off VR games then they'd have done a far better job on that front and not had such a tiny library devoid of most of the cool PSVR 1 titles. I'm not made of money and I don't see any value in buying the PSVR 2 solely for playing with PS5...but if it also supported PC VR I'd buy it in a heartbeat. I'd still be buying PSVR 2 exclusives from Sony's store but I'd also be able to use it to play the many racing games on PC which are not available to play in VR on PSVR 2.
@Serialsid Because Sony would not get money for those 3rd party game sales on Steam anyway? But at least they'd get a nice cut for the first party VR titles, and most importantly, they'll SELL MORE PSVRs
Sony simply needs to enable support for PC VR if it's possible via firmware update. I don't know why they didn't incorporate this from launch itself. You're talking about a super niche tech, so you'd want to make it as versatile as possible, at least. Given that Sony are embracing the PC gaming market so well, this would've been perfect. They'd have sold a ton more VR games and PSVR 2s if they'd incorporated support for PC.
It'd be nice if I could actually buy it here in India. While the PS5 was officially launched, the PSVR 2 hasn't been yet. Regardless, I think the decision not to port over PSVR 1 games is a huge mistake. I know..."technical reasons"... but given the slim launch line-up, why not at least bother to port over at least some of the PSVR 1's best sellers? I was so looking forward to playing so many of them at higher resolutions, quick loading, and having an actual analog stick to move about.
Ever since I experienced PSVR, I've always wanted to experience the same but with actual HD or better resolution. So I'll probably be getting this even if I have to beg, borrow, or steal!
As a NFS player since 1997's NFS2, it's been depressing to watch the franchise go the Lindsay Lohan route. Do people honestly prefer to see jobless punks drifting and nitro'ing cars with ridiculous appendages and tubelights stuck under them around non-descript city streets over cutting-edge supercars blasting around unique tracks from exotic locales around the world the way it used to be until NFS5 Porsche Unleashed?
The only thing that leaves a bad taste about this whole thing is Sony's IPs were nurtured and grown by Sony themselves, which I feel gives them more of a moral right to hold exclusive rights to those IPs. Same with Nintendo. Whereas MS bought existing multiplatform IPs and then alienated a huge chunk of long-time players.
I hate the fact that Xbox owners can play Red Dead Redemption 1 and PS users can't. I'd really love to play that one, as a remaster seems unlikely now, with Rockstar focusing 100% on GTA6 and their GTA Online cash cow for the foreseeable future.
@IonMagi Would agree if they were released simultaneously but having to wait 2-3 years, by when the game's tech itself is fairly outdated, doesn't really sound like the best way.
It will sell well because pretty sure there are a lot of newer PS users who've never played it. Or those who played the original partially (due to moving on to other games and not returning to it or whatever).

Re: RoboCop: Rogue City (PS5) - A Servicable Shooter for Nostalgia Enthusiasts
@trev666 Agreed. I'd rather have a properly crafted linear experience than a jack-of-all-trades-master-of-none open-world sandbox.
Re: RoboCop: Rogue City (PS5) - A Servicable Shooter for Nostalgia Enthusiasts
@Nintendo4Sonic Yep, crap review. Someone throw the reviewer an RPG so they don't have to review a FPS.

Re: Rumour: WRC 23, Developed by Codemasters, Is Just Around the Hairpin Bend on PS5
@Mr_B021 True, DR's asphalt physics are comically drifty.
Re: Rumour: WRC 23, Developed by Codemasters, Is Just Around the Hairpin Bend on PS5
@Anke I felt the opposite - WRC felt floaty and vague while DR felt tight and responsive.
Re: After Transformative Gran Turismo 7 Update, F1 23 Will Not Support PSVR2
@RonnieL "Tons" doesn't exactly describe PSVR 2 sales if you follow the news.

Re: Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened (PS5) - A Lovecraftian Mystery Recreated for a New Era
Hope you don't have to run around in a boring open world too much like you had to in Chapter One.

Re: Tintin Reporter - Cigars of the Pharoah Uncovers Adventure of Epic Proportions on PS5, PS4
The gameplay looks sorta Uncharted-ish.
Re: Try Gotham Knights for Free in New PS Plus Premium Trial
Thanks but no thanks. Would rather play one of the Arkham games again.
Re: Gran Turismo 7 Could Be the Next PS5, PS4 Exclusive Ported to PC
Lol, what "hefty hardware requirements"? It already runs on a PS4, which is slower than most of the slowest PC configurations still in use.
Re: Need for Speed Unbound's Overly Aggressive Social Media Apologises
This game so far looks 100% like NFS Heat but with those cartoon effects. It's like a NFS Heat Cartoon mod.

@themightyant But you clicked it, and so did I. Numbers! And I'm not mad either, since this news pleased me.

@djlard Commands 2 has a HD remaster for PS4 though.
Re: Poll: How Much Would You Pay for the DualSense Edge PS5 Pro Controller?
I had really hoped the default DualSense would have been like this, given their proven usefulness in last gen, but nope...
