@General_Disarray I did had the prem upgrade for early access. Was disappointed in reviews after looking forward to it for so long, MS gave me refund and I paid for early access to BG3. Couldnt get into it (although i definitely plan to try again after SF) and picked up starfield physical day it came out. And man i'm glad I did i love it, it really is incredible

@Tharsman @Jimboss Man i also got the totk switch (to be fair my old OLED got a scratch that was driving me crazy). and the starfield controller. Man i love that controller.

I just beat the first one this year. if this one is short i'll give it a go at some point, enjoyed first but didn't love it. was more looking forward to alone in the dark which is delayed

@Diowine Man well done on finishing both. I do plan on finishing zelda. Persona 5 is another story. I got to the ship dream world and just had enough

i bought it and started it but then i bought Starfield yesterday and i'm really hooked on that already. I'm going to read some beginner's guides or tutorials so i know a little more and restart it later this year when i'm done w starfield

@themcnoisy @jettstyles it has gotten to point where if i see a game is 20 hours or less it's a big bonus. I like having these longer, immersive games simmering in the background though. i do wish they explained everything just a bit more. i made it through to the sacrophagus in that first dungeon, have no idea what i'm doing. Every time i level up it's like select your pact (i'm a warlock idk if that's warlock specific) or your sub class for an ally and i just have absolutely no idea

@Suur I feel the same way (although Elden Ring became my favorite game of all time). I sat down to play this last night and it's just not grabbing me. The tutorials didn't explain much. I fell down a hole and immediately got attacked, 2 members died I couldn't figure out how to revive them (legit googled if there was permadeath). Controls are a bit awkward. I work full time, go to gym every day, have a partner so my game time is limited and this also feels like a time sync to the max at every level (gear/items, character levelling, looking around environment) etc. I made a badass devil character that i like but the world did feel a little...i don't know, I guess didn't grab me. I'll keep trying for a bit though

Until dawn while I wait for baldurs gate on the sixth. Am I still bitter about starfield coming out mid? Not at all! Yes I feel like a clown for buying the controller. Wish I’d gotten armored core for ps instead of Xbox. Got a refund for prem edition and cancelled gamepass. Ok maybe I’m a little bitter. Just a little!

It is bad. Could be worse. I am/ was an Xbox fan. Imagine if after a big, big game drought what is hyped as the game of the generation comes out and it’s middling.

@Sekijo It was the first time, ever, where i skipped through entire dialogue sections. I did every sidequest up until right before the final boss when 20 more showed up and i audibly groaned. Skipped those and glad i did because it turns out none of it even mattered or helped with final boss bc of how you fight it. It is so repetitive, so monotonous

ff16 wasn't very....good

Just finished 16. The first half started off strong but man i was so sick of the boring side quests by the end. The combat, while decent, was all there was to the game. I still think they haven't made a truly good game in series since ix

Glad it worked out that way. Industry needs a strong Xbox in it i think. If it was just Sony and Nintendo calling all the shots....don't get me wrong though, don't think it'd be great if it was just MS and Nintendo either

I just bought a playstation and i picked this up with it (fell in love with Elden). System came with ff16 so working thru that first but can't wait to try this out finally. i'm just now learning it's known for bad frame rate tho?

i'll be switching to performance then
