It is obviously a possibility, I'm sure they have it working, the question is if they can get it to work reliably and we'll 100% of the time. If they just started working on it now I wouldn't expect it to arrive until the last year of PS5 or first year of PS6

Isn't it funny how Rockstar get praised for realism in graphics, adding "acne scars" but other western developers get hammered when they add "peach fuzz" to their female character models. Can we have that conversation?

@Nepp67 in the past I think so but with their recent releases (which is two in the last 11 years, not counting re-releases), simply no. They are cryptic with some GTA Online updates because they know their community will eat it up but other than that, they just drop when they are ready to.

I don't want it to have exclusive games. That is what gutted the Vita. Developers don't have time to be spending years on a game only for 30 people to play it. This makes their efforts at a handheld exclusive absolutely half baked and rare. Most exclusive games on Vita were like this, and there are a handful of games that were truly great.

This might be the best RPG of all time if they give it time in the oven. Many quests interlocking with each other and a dynamic world with actually meaningful choices and interesting in-depth characters and narratives going on. Can't wait!

@lui709 I reckon £249 should be the price point and if it can play online streaming, remote play with PS4, PS5 & PS6, 480p-720p upscaled to 1080p for local games then it'll be better than a Switch.

@AhmadSumadi This site has become less and less real/level/objective and is very hyper critical. It is a big echo chamber where there is no in-between.

Things are either the end of the world and hyper negative or extremely positive and head in the clouds. Though, as of late, everything has just been negative.

Would love for Sony to get a good grasp on limiting these rumours because I feel like it kills any excitement when you know what will be revealed. You stop thinking about the upcoming shows and your mind is already on what will come after.

They frequently mess up what’s good for a lot of players by not testing the features and tweaks they make. I and a group of others stopped playing until they fixed that stupid DSS that kept killing us. Not really a good strategy imo.

We just have to hope AMD can make a chip that doesn't overheat in a smaller system.

Also Sony need to NOT make any proprietary hardware for this system. This is why the Vita failed. Flash memory should be soldered on the chip, starting at 256GB, the system should have USB C, AUX port, remote play again, ability to act as a second controller to PS6, PS Portal form factor, at least 5 hour battery life, heavy focus on PSSR doing majority of the work to bring massively scaled down PS6 games to handheld, an adequate amount of NPUs and TPUs for machine learning and other tasks.

Funny thing is that all mobile phones from 2024 and onwards will tick some of these criteria. Hopefully cost of parts will be lower as a result and Sony can focus on not robbing their customers.

@djlard well 4, 5 & 6 all going to be on AMD architecture, all AMD CPUs and GPUs so that's a guarantee.

If PSVR2 started at around this price point, maybe the perception of it could've been a lot more productive

Yeah I feel a little like I wasted the first 3 years of PS5 on PS4 games. I like my PS5 but I loved my PS4, 3, 2 & Vita. By the end of the gen I'm sure I'll fall back in love but this gen seems more appealing for those who've waited until this point. Also, the PS5 Pro is what the PS5 should've been. I'm getting that day 1.

@Major_Player if you're having to close multiple studios and layoff chunks of teams, then something you are doing isn't entirely sustainable. I like GamePass, I use it on my Series S. The fact that you used to be able to play big Xbox games day 1 on the lowest tier and now you can't shows you that everyone at Microsoft knows it isn't sustainable, hence the changes.

If you want to scream and call me a needle mover or whatever, do that, but just know I move on the side of reality.

@Major_Player this would likely mean 30-50% of sales on PS would go to Microsoft. Gamepass will never be on PS. It won't live beyond the next 5 years unless Microsoft changes the model. Not sustainable and is becoming less appealing every year in terms of big day 1 releases.

It is not a way to bring revenue into studios that make AAA games that cost minimum $50 million to produce. Obviously the costs usually balloon.

@McTwist spot on man. There was something about almost every game, the physics, the story, the visuals (though not crisp), even smaller games had so much more weight and personality compared to many AAA games in the modern age. Hopefully after this graphics craze phase is over we go back to that innovation and wonder we had in the PS3/X360 generation.

@Jswift56 limit what the console can do compared to PREVIOUS weaker generations yet take 4 years to bring some basic features and throw out probably one of the more iconic PS features which was the themes. PS and Sony need to do better for PS6 man.

Next time a feature like this should really be implemented within the first year as they took so much out of the PS4

Mistakes that shouldn't be made however in a production as big as this and I guess shows why firms like Sweet Baby are used as often as they are. @LikelySatan yeah let’s be honest with the Yasuke stuff all they need to say is what’s written on all AC games. That it’s not a flippin 1:1 representation of history. That is it. Yasuke was real and people should just shut up and relax, it's a video game. It is for fun. Leave the black character be.

Very interesting case because from what I’ve seen it just looks like more AC but in a good setting with good characters and good looking animations so me personally I’m just a bit confused to see all the outrage about the characters. The complaints about everything else is warranted but the complaints about historical inaccuracies, and not respecting Japanese culture is just typical Ubisoft isn’t it, not doing their due diligence and homework. SP could never.

@MidnightDragonDX they are doomed tbh. I thought outlaws would be a turning point. Though I am excited for AC Shadows, it is feeling like another Valhalla but in Japan. Their attitude towards making games is the same as their attitude towards what they put in the games which is just bloat and keep adding stuff until it's as big and plentiful as possible! They have good IP and it shouldn't be in the hands of the Guillotine brothers

@PSme as others have said, this would be highly unlikely. PS4 is the highest selling modern home console and to just alienate that base of games would not only be stupid but idiotic. Also, AMD still making their chips, also big focus on BC on PS%, it's not just going to stop there. I would take those rumors saying otherwise with a pinch of salt.

Didn't really love this one but maybe because I played it during pandemic and everything was gloomy. Will give it another go and happy to pay £10. I just know I'm going to absolutely hate that final mission where they just keep throwing wave after wave of machines at you
