first one didn't really work for me, not as funny as the trailers and previews made it seem like it was going to be and the little seperate maps don't work for that kind of 'elderscrolls/fallout' type of rpg. much more interested to try out that avowed but they only released it digital and i have a massive pile of physical games to play before i would even consider getting round to digital only stuff.
not sure a sequel of this game would catch me quite like the first, all the discovery and revelio was what i liked. if it is the same location it will feel a bit too samey.
dumbing down feature because of a vocal minority shouldn't happen. i'm on my 3rd playthrough and haven't encountered dragonsplague yet (had the tutorial pop up though) .
the first one is desperate for a ps5 patch/update/version ,hopefully the sequel will give them a reason so as to encourage more players looking to find the first while waiting for the second
now i am used to the way it was from launch the 30 fps just made it feel more unresponsive so i left it off. i would like proper LFC 120 hz mode with a 40 fps cap in an ideal world. you wouldn't want swings from 50-60 down to 30 ish but from 35 ish most of the time with bits at 40 or bits at 30 ish would be ok.
i still have games i bought for 360 that i want to get around to playing, loads of ps4 games i haven't played yet and a steadily increasing number of ps5 games to get through. not to mention all the stuff i have bought for my series x (mostly xbox one back compat)
when ever you compare what you get in a full priced game to how much you get in any given dlc it is always ridiculously over priced and japanese developers seem to be worse at over charging too.
i seriously can't remember the last time i wanted to play a game as much as i do dragonsdogma2. it's been like 15-20 years since i preordered a game and i am very tempted, and depending on when it gets released, very likely to preorder this game.
@Deadlyblack with being in the uk it would be easier to buy from a shop, i just checked and you are right about stray so fingers crossed for 5th december
i've consigned myself to the fact that this will be the last generation of playstation and xbox consoles i will be getting but since i still have 360 games i bought new that i still want to play and haven't got round to yet i think they will see me out but i will be annoying to not get the ending to some storys like horizon etc..
possibly nintendo could keep things offline buy own etc for a few extra consoles too.
big ticket items like this for me really need to have the pleasure aspect of gettings something to take home and try out straight away. i don't want to click a mouse ,have 500 quid magically vanish and then carry on with my week. also having to wait for the delivery on the day is a ***** not a joy.
not much chance of me getting vr2 but it being in an actual shop on a day i am bored with extra money in my pocket helps its chances for sure.
was worried that wild hearts would be technically poor when it released due to the dev not being anything other than average at best on the technical side and it was technically bad when it came out so i decided not to buy even though i quite fancied it. hoping for a lot of patching or a lower price now.
wtf. which donkey, where in the world thought making games single player modes require online connectivity, find that mofo and smash his head against every ***** who ever decided not to include solo offline modes in any game they made.
these game are not made for love of the medium and the players ,these games are made for profit and money. simple fact.
nothing shown was on my rader and still after nothing shown is something i have interest to purchase. probably buy suicide squad in the tenner bargin bin sales eventually.
yuk! every bit of everything shown has been done so many times in so many ways before, doesn't appeal at all. making it a gunplay/shooter really saps any interest from the arkham world. epic fail.
i'm definitely feeling games need to have an inbetween res at 40 fps option these days aswell. on the sony games it is my prefered option. i still happily play loads of ps4 games on my ps5 so full 4k isn't super neccesary for me but 40 fps is a lot better than 30 fps.
i still mostly use my ps5 as a suped up ps4 pro (which was the main reason to buy it at the time) so it is a good angle to get people to upgrade. though i got mine long before price increases.
unfortunately for the developers ,games like this where they improve it alot over time and add lots of single player dlc are (imho) much better played when finaly 'finished' being made so unless a complete edition gets released i will end up getting the game down the line much reduced or second hand.
was very aprehensive when part 2 was announced as i felt the first was a perfect stand alone piece but no.2 was really good, not at all what anybody wanted from the story but a very good story. game vs art and that. i feel they might be starting to milk it with a third game and sooner or later they will release a below par entry and sour the whole series.
i'd have to argue only the spiderman games, ratchet and clank and horizon forbidden west are VRR 'optimised'
godfall for example has vrr enabled but it is totally useless. in performance mode it is locked 60 so vrr is irrelevent and in quality mode the fram rate is near constant below the vrr threshold of 48 fps.

lol. believe it when i see it. that is all.

didn't know it ever came out on ps5

Re: Double Dragon Revive Is a New, 3D Beat-'Em-Up from Arc System Works
trailer looks naff. was hoping for same style visuals as guilty gear

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Dragon's Dogma 2?
i love it, only reason it doesn't get 10 from me is because it isn't 100% perfect, technically.
Re: Hands On: Dragon's Dogma 2 Update Improves Frame Rate on PS5 at the Cost of Ray Tracing

Re: PS5 Pro's Proprietary DLSS-Esque Upscaler Sounds Superb
guessing the upgrades will translate to the pro perfomance mode looking better than base quality mode
Re: Skull and Bones (PS5) - Solid Sea-RPG Ships First-Rate Naval Gameplay
from all the reviews of this game i still have no idea if this is online only, multiplayer only , if you can play single player etc..
Re: BioShock Creator Ken Levine Says Player Choice Is What Separates Judas on PS5
it looks as close to being a bioshock game without actually being called bioshock as possible, from the trailer, and that's a good thing.
Re: Hands On: Suicide Squad Takes a Lot of Getting Used to, and It May Not Be Worth It
if they patch in offline mode like they said i will pick it up if i see it going cheap, if they don't i might get it if i see it under a tenner.

Re: PlayStation Users Set to Lose Hundreds of TV Shows They Paid For
i'd have to say if you lose the ability to use something you have bought digitally because of the provider then you should automatically get a refund.

how does 80 dollars translate to £100 for the separate disc drive?

Re: Bomb Rush Cyberfunk Tags Colourful PS5, PS4 Physical Editions
is this only coming out on the im8bit website?
there is mention of a retail version out on dec 5th but the website has the im8bit exclusive edition and nothing else.
Re: Konami Forced to Clarify MGS Master Collection Is 1080p, Up to 60FPS on PS5, PS4
even the updated specs are ridiculous, should be 4k 120 on ps5 zero questions.

Re: Alan Wake 2 Is a Digital-Only Release, $60 on PS5
hopefully they will release it on disc as the ultimate edition when all dlc is finished.
Re: Alan Wake 2 Is a Digital-Only Release, $60 on PS5
really bad news for a big game like this to be pushing pure digital at this stage in the consoles.
haven't got round to playing alan wake 1 yet so no rush for me to buy the sequel.

dlc ruined fighting games for me.
they don't even release fully compete editions anymore either.
Re: Final Fantasy 16 Goes Gold Well Ahead of June Release Date
better not have any launch day issues or day one patches or will have egg on their faces.

Re: Poll: What PS5, PS4 Games Are You Most Looking Forward to in February 2023?
wild hearts looks good but if mh rise had released physical with sunbreak included it wouldn't have got a look in anytime soon.
i quite fancy hogwarts legacy but looks like it will need a couple of ironing out patches after release before it is ship shape.

how about 40 fps 2k with raytracing and unlocked with vrr for higher fps in places.

this is like always online games but worse.
insane.
