Re: GamesCom 2013: Sony Slashes Vita's Price to $199/€199

Unfortunately, the memory cards are still ridiculously overpriced. I'm hoping for a $250 32 GB bundle for the holidays...in white or blue. $50 is still way too much for 32 GB (speed isn't great either), but it's still better than paying $100 or $80. Plus I want more color options.

Re: So, That PlayStation 4 RAM Saga Is Still Rolling

@DirectAim
The Last of Us (And PS3 in general for games) had about 256 MB to work with I believe.

But anyway, 4 GB is more than enough. You other Sony guys on this comments section should be more than happy that you have that much for your games.

Re: Talking Point: Are We Neglecting the Strength of the Vita's Lineup?

@moomoo
Unfortunately, I don't think Sony will ever drop Vita memory that low. Heck, their memory sticks are still ridiculously expensive compared to SD cards. I'm hoping for at least half off.
Better yet, for the holidays they should bundle a 32 GB card with a Vita for $250. No games necessary in that kind of bundle, especially if Sega finally gets off their butt and releases PSO2 in America.

Re: E3 2013: PlayStation 4 Will Cost You Just $399 When It Launches

I'm sticking with Wii U and PC this gen for my stationary gaming, but I can see the PS4 dominating sales by the end of gen 8. VERY nice price; I'd be surprised if westerners STILL end up buying the XBone more than PS4 at launch. In Japan, even though the Vita is still struggling against the 3DS, perhaps the PS4 will beat out Wii U (unless Nintendo announces a price drop).
Now if only they announced a Vita price drop.........

Re: Freedom Wars Sets Its Sights on Eight Player Action

Don't have a Vita, but I already bought Soul Sacrifice in anticipation of buying one once console and memory prices have dropped (ESPECIALLY the memory) and once more color options are available (I want white or mint, something winter-ey). This game is looking like it'll be amazing and may do much better than Soul Sacrifice as a game that will sell the system. Being able to fully customize a humanoid companion character for offline play is a hunting RPG gamer's dream come true. Should contrast well with 3DS's MH4 with the full customizable kitty.
Seems like my eventually Vita library will be mostly these types of games....niche JRPGs as well I suppose...maybe I'll just get this instead of God Eater 2 to avoid over saturating my future Vita with these games...then again I wanted that one for PSP/Vita crossplay..............

Re: No, Your PlayStation 4 Won't Play Audio CDs

Llamageton

Well...anyone who can afford a PS4 should already have at least one device that can play CDs. But let's stop assuming that everyone has so much money to buy consoles without having to sell old stuff...too bad for those people in those cases.

Re: Pachter: Sony Won't Make Money on the PlayStation Vita

Llamageton

Uhm...no. The reason it's not selling is because there weren't enough games worth buying it for (which is finally being fixed this year) and because the essentially required memory cards are just too overpriced. Not just expensive, but overpriced for what they offer. There's also a lack of color options. This thing is a handheld console; it's a personal gaming machine, so people will want it in a color they want. This is being fixed in Japan, but so far most western regions are just stuck with black. And personally I believe Sony products look far better in white than they do in black.
Sony: bring more color options to the market, cut the price of your memory cards AT LEAST by half (if I can buy 3-4 32 GB SD cards with massively superior speeds to your own 32 card for the same price, then there's a huge problem), and drop the price of your Vita hardware to $200. You'll start seeing more sales if you do. You finally have the games, now make sure people will want to spend the money on the hardware to play them.
And remember, and this is to everyone, whether you agree or not, phones and tablets ARE encroaching on handheld console territory. Especially this year, when we'll be getting tablets and phones packed SoCs that blow away what's inside the Vita for the same price. Content, gameplay, and value-wise the games those devices play may not match what we get on 3DS or Vita, but things will just get better for those devices. That shouldn't be ignored.
But yeah, who else wants a price drop on the Vita and memory cards? More colors as well?

Re: Price Cut Prompts PlayStation Vita Sell Outs in Japan

Llamageton

Hoping for a price drop over here eventually (even though they said they have no plans of that yet), and I ESPECIALLY want a price drop for those ridiculously overpriced memory cards.
For now, I think I'll pick up Soul Sacrifice just to support Inafune, even if I end up getting a Vita 1-2 years from now. Would hope for God Eater 2 PSP and Vita (and Project Diva f!)to arrive as well and for PSO2 Vita to make it to the American PSN.
Speaking of which, I want PSO2 to be on 3DS and Wii U, too.

Re: Sony: "We Have to Do a Better Job of Promoting the PS Vita"

Llamageton

And drop the prices of your memory cards by at least 2/3 of their current price. Still more expensive than SD cards, but Sony loves being more expensive. Even if they bundle a 4 GB memory card, it's not going to cut it for some people. PSO2 look to be weighing a little over 4 GB at the moment for the Vita version, so at least an 8 GB will be mandatory for those who want to play. Though since 8 GB cards are so overpriced...it pretty much kills the "Free-to-Play" factor of PSO2 on Vita.

Re: Sony Celebrates Soul Sacrifice Release Date with Vita Bundle

Llamageton

Awesome! This is the main game I want on Vita besides PSO2 (which I will dedicate the 4 GB memory card in its entirety to), Project Diva f, and Atelier Totori. 4 games compared to the "I lost count" amount of games I have and want on 3DS, but 4 REALLY good games in my opinion. Good thing Vita is region-free in case some of these never reach America...

Re: Firmware Update v2.00 Adds Emails to the PlayStation Vita

Llamageton

Hmm, makes the Vita closer and closer in ability to an Android device. Well then, it's only a 5 inch screen, barely bigger than my phone and with lower screen quality than my phone, but I think I'll get this instead of a tablet for now (tablets tend to have lower screen quality than my phone anyway, except for maybe the new ones). Memory is a massive problem with Vita, but hey, portable Phantasy Star Online 2 and whatnot.
