Re: Physical Game Sales Hit All-Time Low in the US

@HonestHick Physical fans get on your nerve? You must have an easy life if that's what gets on your nerves.

If we're going with what-ifs, you can get banned from your account and lose access to anything you bought; you're at the mercy of Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft. There's been horror stories of people getting banned when they did nothing wrong.

Remember when companies said we'd get the benefit of cheaper games with digital, since they didn't have to manufacture and distribute games to retailers? What a farce. The only benefit of digital is not having to switch out games. That's it.

@x3King84 @Stragen8 A vast majority of Switch 1 and PS4/PS5 games are on the disc. You can get through a lot of them without any game breaking bugs too. Check out DoesItPlay to see the statistics. People make it a bigger issue than it truly is. Xbox One/Series is definitely a different story (especially MS published games).

@DennisReynolds That's not always a guarantee. Look at how Sony was trying to pull Discovery TV shows, that people paid for, from users' libraries. People had to raise a stink to keep that from happening. Who's to say Nintendo, Microsoft, or Sony don't try something like that again?

@sanderson72 They've always only cared about the dollar signs. Any publicly traded company is about the dollar signs.

@Balaam_ I was there for the PS1 and PS2 generations. PS2 was my favorite generation for first party games. There was so much variety in terms of gameplay and art styles. You had lighthearted platformers like Ratchet and Clank to moody RPGs like Dark Cloud to darker games like Mark of Kri and Shadow of the Colossus. Sure, you can argue that the games are better now, but you can't really argue that the variety and output of first party games has greatly decreased.

@HonestHick Lol. I love how people keep mentioning this fraud and illegal activity without actually providing examples. Sounds like you're parroting Musk. You truly think all 30k employees (so far) were participating in illegal activities? Anything to rationalizing people losing their income, right? Probationary workers (those who have worked for the gov less than 2 years) are especially being targeted. They all deserve it, right?
