Having another go at Ghost of Yotei but I can't shake the feeling that it's in the same bracket as the other Sony exclusive sequels that just left me cold. Bayonetta on the Switch is the alternative so not too bad.

Trying to enjoy Wolverine Uncaged Edition on the PS3 but the performance is pretty catastrophic so I might have a go on the Starfox remake instead.

@Brigurugi @Zuljaras I've played the Saturn port and the performance and loading times are terrible compared to the PlayStation version.

Spider-Man with the family followed by some Halo couch co-op and a curry. Sounds like a plan to me.

@TheSingularity What if I don't particularly care about discs (or cartridges or gamecards), but I do care about protecting customers from the increasingly monopolistic tendencies of the big media and tech companies? How is that "entitled"?

@wildcat_kickz Not as far as I'm aware - the real travesty is that they never ported Astrobot. I'd also recommend Tetris Effect and Lumines - both absolutely hypnotic.

@wildcat_kickz The biggie is Gran Turismo, but the VR modes on the Resi games (Village and 4 remake) are also outstanding. I'm one of the three people who are still cheesed off that Sony never made the thing compatible with 3D Blu-Ray.🤣.

@Northern_munkey I haven't been into comic books for a minute, but I think I'm correct In saying that tbe SLJ version of Fury was based on an Ultimates alternate universe run whose version of Fury was (in.a bizarre bit of foreshadowing) based on SLJ. - years before he was cast in the MCU. Something like that anyway...

@ElPenitente In these sorts of games (and especially sequels) the story has to be good to motivate me to keep playing - maybe due to overfamiliarity with the gameplay mechanics. I felt the exact same way about Horizon Forbidden West.
PS I should point out that I also really liked Miles Morales (the game and the character).

@ElPenitente I had no.idea until just now that there was a "bandwagon". I just found the game (specifically the story) to be a joyless slog with far too few meaningful improvements over the excellent Part 1.

I sold my copy for decent money months ago - it was complete pants.

I still use an early model Playstation (the one with phono inputs on the back) to play CD's. How's that for hipster?

Onwards with the excellent Mina the Hollower. Also found a cheap copy of Stranglehold (the one with the sub-VCD version of Hard Boiled on the disc) for PS3 so I'll give that a spin when I (inevitably) get stuck on Mina.

@TheDarts I tend to agree, but whenever I describe First Light as "Hitman for dummies" I get shouted at. 🤣.

Wake me up when they add some decent driving missions and gadget variety - the EA games from 20 years ago put First Light to shame in that regard.

@ElPenitente I've been pondering the same thing - every time they post it's either a sizzling hot take or a negative opinion - it's so boring. I'm not a fan of the site's mute function but in this instance...

I thought the game was profoundly average. Once I discovered that the disarm/throw gun manoeuvre could be chained indefinitely because the grunts ALWAYS drop their firearms and that vaulting = invincibility (have those been patched out?) all the fun drained away - which considering this was my most anticipated game in years was extremely disappointing.

I have to admire Cregger's confidence (dare I say arrogance?) in believing he can make a Resi movie better than "The Final Chapter".

@UltimateOtaku91 You say "whinging physical media collectors" I say "crusading consumer rights advocates". Live and let live - there's no need to post digs at people with different preferences at every opportunity - especially considering your "side" won.
