Re: Back 4 Blood, A Plague Tale: Requiem, More Will Be Full-Price on PS5, PS4

XGP is that it’s clearly Microsoft’s attempt at trying to bleed out Sony by not going head to head but instead offer it as a service.

The problem is that XGP is by Microsoft’s admission not profitable (and how could it). 3rd party publishers wouldn’t join XGP if it was less lucrative for them, would they?
Just like Netflix did, Microsoft will significantly increase their pricing once they feel their subs are reaching a peak. The “real” price of XGP is probably around $20-25.

But Sony has to come with some sort of countermove. Not sure a full on GamePass of their own is the right move though.

I know everyone raves about XGP, but from recent reports, it’s not profitable for Microsoft at current pricing. They are buying market share, and honestly quite happy that Sony is feeling confident enough to stay out of that.

But yeah, PS Now could certainly be a lot better. It needs PS5 games added, more platforms (mobile and macOS).
Personally, I’d like to see them sort of merge it with Remote Play. Still have a bunch of games included, but also allow access to all games you’ve bought for your PS4/PS5.

@FX102A "Also “3 to 4”? More like 1 game with 3 to 4 different skins."
Honestly, that reeks of judging the books by the cover.

Look at their three major titles last year: Watch Dogs: Legion, Immortals Fenyx Rising and Assassin's Creed Valhalla.
Yeah, they are open world action games, but that's really were the similarities end.
Immortals have more common ground with Breath of the Wild than it has with AC: Valhalla. I also thought it was a AC reskinned as a Greek mythology adventure, but it is a very different game, from how combat works to a strong focus on puzzles.
And Watch Dogs, well, it has a completely different focus as well from the other two.
