I'm also playing in the barren, arid lands after a nuclear winter. But I'm not playing Fallout 4 - I'm playing Wasteland 2. I'm about halfway through (just recently got out of Arizona & into California) & think it's the best game I've played this year (& I played Witcher 3, but haven't played Divinity: Original Sin that's waiting for me to finish W2). I don't have any more money to buy F4, but that's ok - the full edition (with all DLC) won't be out for a year or so anyway.
I feel about David Cage's games the same way I do Telltale - they'd make great movies, but as games I find them lacking. I'm always hopeful their next one will be the one that turns it around. So here's hoping Detroit plays as good as its story sounds!
@PorllM There are separate line items in the systems settings - you can turn on/off automatic updates and/or feature content. So you can rid yourself of Destiny or any game that's "recommended", but still retain auto download (even in rest mode) of updates.
I'm glad they've decided not to reveal much of the game's story. I'm looking forward to hearing more about the gameplay. If they hit that, I'll do the in-game exploring & find out the story myself!
I'm really looking forward to this release. I'm strictly a console gamer so this will be my first chance to play it. It's been a very long time since there's been a good, deep turn based RPG on console.
@stevie85 - that's a shame. I get migraines from games in the first person perspective so I can empathize.
I would LOVE to see DQXI on PS4! VIII was one of my favorite games on PS2. Both this series & SMT/Persona skipped the PS3. It'd make a great double - Persona 5 & this!
I'm a big Dragon Age fan, but never got into the Mass Effect series. I tried all the demos they put out over the years & never enjoyed the way combat played (hence why I never bought any ME games). So, yes, I am looking forward to seeing more about Andromeda in hopes I'll enjoy it as much as the DA series.
At least he wasn't shot by authorities thinking he really was armed (though a case could be made that if he'd been fatally shot, he'd have definitely been a contender for a Darwin award)!
The Witcher 3 makes me feel bad for you reviewers. You have to hustle to finish the game in order to post a timely review. I get to luxuriate in its world (spend most of my time doing side objectives - not just the auxiliary quests, but checking out the "?"s dotting the map & blank areas to see what's there). I'll be playing for a long time to come & enjoying every minute of it!!!
Escort missions are the pits, but even worse (to me) is the auto-save only game. These can paint you into a corner. For example, I was playing LotR: War in the North, & there's a section called the Siege of Nordinbad. It's divided into two parts (it automatically saves after the first part) - it's goal is to defend the entryway (which gets its own healthbar). I didn't do the first part well, the entryway had very little health left & was then unable to complete the second part. However, unless I wanted to start the entire game over (this section is more than 75% of the way through the game), there was no way to retry the level!!! I dropkicked the game into next week! Just let me save where/when I want or at least give me save points when I can save multiple times. One & done saves are the worst.
DA2 should get more love. It was the first game I played in the series. I enjoyed it so much that I then bought Origins. More recently put 195 hours into Inquisition (!). Still, I like 2 the best so far - maybe because it's the only one of the 3 that let me complete my romance with my person of choice (was rejected by my picks in the other 2).

Re: PS4 Titles Will Get Cheaper During The Game Awards 2015
@Dodoo Yes, I hear he uses Doritos for his picks!! 😛
Re: Would You Be Happy with Another Final Fantasy XV Demo?
I think they mentioned that they've changed the gameplay since the demo so getting a chance to try it out would be nice.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 93
@Hego I see you're also a big fan of FFIX (as am I) so I think you'll love Wasteland 2. Hope you get to try it out! 😺

Re: PS4 Exclusives Dominate The Game Awards' Most Wanted
Since its first reveal, I've been intrigued by Horizon. Here's hoping it turns out great!

The bears should have offered the illuminati a coke!!
Re: Guide: How to Follow Developers on PS4
@adf86 - that picture makes me think of the line from the song White Rabbit, "Feed your head"!!

Re: There's a Big, Fat Typo on the Metal Gear Solid 5 PS4
@Crimson_Ridley Off course you're right! (I sure hope they leave that in the FFVII remake. For me, it's right up there with "Spoony Bard"!)

Gnome sweet gnome!! Gnome is where the heart is!! There's no place like gnome!!
Gnome more for now!
Re: Guerrilla Games Thanks the Players for a Very Special E3
@Splat - I felt exactly the same while watching E3. With the effort they're putting in (as noted by @Dohv), I'm very optimistic for Horizon.

Re: E3 2015: PS4 Horror RPG Vampyr Gets Its Very First Trailer
I like the fact that new IPs aren't just rehashing old ideas. Playing a doctor vampire here; the "post-post-apocolypse" of Horizon.
I missed E3 2014 in the hospital. This year has certainly made up for it!

Re: Remember Vampyr? The Horror RPG Will Be Feeding at E3 2015
A vampire RPG. If it's half as deep as Witcher 3, it'll be something to sink my teeth into!!
