Re: Talking Point: What Do You Want to Know About PS4 Pro?

Jamotello

the o.g. ps4 has a maximum drive height limit of 9.5mm meaning it currently has a limit of 2tb. i have no idea what the slim height maximum is. i'd like to know if the ps4 pro allows 2.5 inch drives with a height of 15mm allowing for 4tb spinning hdd's - or the baller 15.6tb ssd if that's how you roll since it's also over 15mm.

it's not necessarily a bad step. i still think that the ps4.5 isn't meant for higher resolution but higher framerate. that way, they all jsut target 30 fps for ps4 and then unlock 48-60 fps for ps4.5. higher framerate is far more usable and appreciable than resolution for the vast majority of users out there.

drive caddy that fits taller 4tb hdd's without modification is the numero uno feature i'd want. improved performance like 40-48fps for what would usually be 30fps games is welcome. other than that, i'm fine with this one. an out there feature that would be neat is a 32-64gb ssd cache for the internal hdd to turn any drive into an sshd.
