Re: Days of Play Sale PS4 Deals - All Discounts on PS4 Games, PS Plus, PSVR, and More

Is there an actual reason you've placed Amazon's not-very-great-unless-you're-a-gullible-Amazon-customer deal for PS Plus FIRST when ShopTo have it for a CLEAR £5 cheaper?! How much are Amazon bunging you to have you place them always at the top when they're invariably more expensive or the exact same price as companies who DON'T kill their own employees (then cover it up) and spend all day finding corporate tax loopholes?

@naruball I honestly can't understand any fuss over the God of War games. Even Scrat's Nutty Adventure is less on rails than God of War 4 is. Hack/slash/cast, repeat is really not "deep" - and yet that's what all the "#givemeafreecopy" tried to claim it is. There's absolutely NOTHING on rails about Kingdom of Amalur. And I will (figuratively) fight anyone who would claim otherwise.

@Nem Yeah but come on, this game is only about 10 years old. Some games that are 10 years old I grant you don't hold up well but this one still looks flawless to me on PC. It simply does not need a remaster, there's nothing that's worth remastering. And yeah of course the developer is different, the one that made this game in the first place sadly went bust not long after its release. So any sequel now will be a bit like a bit like someone finishing off a half painted Picasso. "Ah yeah I think what he MEANT to paint here was......." ¬.¬ It's sad. But at least I can fire up the glorious original. I'm not getting milked for the same game again, thanks all the same - neither should anyone else. Don't stand for remasters - demand more from gaming and lazy publishers.

@1_W1NG3D_4NG3L I apologise - that was an unnecessary and slightly aggro comment from me. I'm just so annoyed this is being remastered when it absolutely does not need one - still looks amazing today - well, the PC version at least. You see I loved it so much that what I really wanted was a sequel. But a true sequel will never be seeing as the developer sadly went bust just after the game was released

Oh my GOD. If there was ANY ONE GAME I could name in the known universe that does absolutely NOT need a 'remaster': this game is it. The graphics ARE still looking incredible today!! This game needed a SEQUEL, but sadly its developer went bust right after release. It's deep, immersive and expansive. The DLC was criticised for being a bit too "more of the same" but when the same is THIS good that really didn't bother me.
Honestly, what exactly is the criteria for "remasters" now? "Oh, it's 10 years old - remaster it". Just buy the original, if you're in any way interested in proving that you're not a sucker. It'll cost you pennies these days. Regularly goes for less than £4 even on Origin itself.

They're great games for anyone who doesn't have them that's for damn sure. And both have single player campaigns (yeah remember those? They're for gamers who aren't really interested in 14 year old tossers typing "n00b" at them while they're trying to play a game). But I already DO have both and for quite some time. But then if I didn't own Star Wars Battlefront 2 I wouldn't own my Star Wars Special Edition PS4 Pro that I got free with it ;P

Re: Mafia: Trilogy Debuts Definitive Edition Trailers for All Three Games

@LordAinsley The DLC isn't 'terrible' it just doesn't add enough to the base game. DLC is a terrible concept though I'll grant you. It's slowly killing gaming - most actual gamers just wait around for the Finished Edition..ahem sorry I mean the "Complete Edition" to come out, so the base game sells less. I remember the days when Red Alert 2 came out and then an ADD-ON pack came out and it added so much to the original game it was basically Red Alert 2.5. Value like that won't happen again because publishers more than likely order some content to not be included in the base game to allow for their 'roadmap' of milking gamers a couple of months later.

Re: Mafia: Trilogy Debuts Definitive Edition Trailers for All Three Games

Er well of course Mafia III hasn't changed 'significantly' - it didn't need to it's only about 4 years out. Mafia is the only one that genuinely would benefit from a remaster - and yes I have played all 3. Never completed the 3rd one - but then neither did the developer before they were forced to release it. Aaahh such is gaming slapdashery these days.
