Re: Mini Review: Wuchang: Fallen Feathers (PS5) - Decent Souls-Like Suffers Technically

Gfoot

These settings seem to work good for Wuchang Display settings on PS5 Pro. Quality mode, FPS mode lock on, sharpening 10. I've got VRR, ALLM on TV and on Pro, but on PS 5 Pro settings disable 120hz as it reverts image to 2160 x 1440, but I dont think its 120fps. Balancrd diest look good but quality seems ok. No stuttering up to now and on the first boss. Seemed smooth and no issues up to now. Just going to Schu Santum when finish work...

Re: More Wuchang PS5 Updates Detailed as Studio Commits to Support

Passed the first main boss. A few tweaks with my PS5 Pro and TV settings and its running pretty good. No stuttering on the first main boss fight. In quality mode and fixed FPS on PS5 Pro and its quite smooth. Once yoi get the hang of the game and some of the mechanics, dodge, shimmer, magic, deflect and clash, its quite enjoyable. Once I got my head around this, the game became more enjoyable. The beginnning is like the first time you played Bloodbourne. You just have to get gud. I would rate this better than Nioh on par with Sekiro and better than Elden Ring; and not floaty combat like LOTF. Its got the DS level design and similar feel/fps speed as bloodbourne. Once you get a few skills anyway. Its 100% playable and no lag for me or glitching with 4-5 enemies at once. The chap who reviewed this game, must of rage quit and didn't get gud...

Re: Rise of the Ronin (PS5) - A Safe, Outdated Open World Game

@Bez87 Firstly a review doesnt have to be based upon the same genre. My PoV is that a game, hasnt got to be different in anyway, to other games. DS1-DS3 are virtually identical, in mechanics and graphics, therefore your point would be DS3, scoring a low review score, even though it basically reuses the same maps from the previous games, bosses and enemies. This game could be quite a linear game, slightly different to Nioh 1&2 as it's more open world. Some gamers actually like been pointed in the right direction. Again from my PoV it's more of a time to play game issue. AC Valhalla being a good example you could complete the main story, by levelling up doing some of the side quests. There were lots of markers, but non marker quests. (To get excalibur and fallen armour) This games combat looks phenomenal, switching weapons, between swords and fire arms, using the glider, horse and grappling hook. As well as some hand to hand combat. The review didn't go into this detail. The videos posted by Playstation, showing the different characters in the game, and they seem quite distinctive, not even mentioned in the review. I must admit, there were some great games on PS3, if you compare them to games now, you would score them low. The GoW series, MGS, AC, Tomb Raider, Battlefield etc..to name a few.

I'm expecting my pre-order tomorrow, but it's unlikely, I'll play this game anytime soon. As I'm currently playing Doom Eternal- Ancient Gods Part 2. Once this is completed, I'll be playing Nioh 2, then Wo Long, including all DLC, Demon Souls, then if everything goes to plan I should be good enough to conquer Elden Ring followed by Shadow of the Ertree. Ithink there are loads of DD2 fanboys about. The first game was OK, but very tedious, scored high, but no transport and have to walk to get from A to B. DD2 is the same.

I think the reviewers missing the point comparing it to GoT and Elden Ring. Having everything indicated to you, via icons markers etc, just gives you an opportunity to progress through the game, without having to think about some obtuse logic. From what I've seen from the gameplay videos the combat looks pretty good, if it's not too overly complex to actually combine combos, what's the issue. Not mentioned anything detailed on the combat in the review, from changing stances and the fluidity of the quick swap weapons, OT the glider, or horse to glider.

Re: Hot Off Demo Hype, Lies of P Gets Impressive 9 Minute Gameplay Showcase

Gfoot

Played the demo on PS5. Must agree with some other posts it seem very generic. Tries to use the DS style on the interface / mechanics which was quite fluid. If I compare it to the FF16 demo, boring as hell this was. The combat seemed fairly bland and generic. I did a back stab, but there was no animation?? Pi movement was good and his sword and armen functionrd well. The colour palette is dark colours, which made it hard to see the coppers. Some of them were strategically placed, so it made me think more before entering the side room. The coppers were easy to beat. Frame rate seemed to be good. Graphics wise, I thought this looks like a PS4 game. Not next gen. Probably be a good game. Personal opinion - I didn't like the actual style of the enemies / overall aesthetics; they looked bland. Like previously on another review FF16. I've got a big bagklog of other games GoW, Valhalla, Horizon FW, DL2, ERingbplus otherd and I have just purchase FF16. I'm giving this one a miss.

Re: Poll: What Do You Think of the Final Fantasy 16 PS5 Demo?

Gfoot

I've played the demo and I must admit it was totally engrossing. I made the mistake of playing late evening and then like 2-3hrs had passed. Honest thoughts, there were a lot of cuts scenes, which I thought actually introduced the main characters rather well and provided details regarding dominants, mother crystal etc..The quality was great and flowed well into the actual gameplay. So that's it with the story. Graphics wise, this was a hard one to judge. The character models were good and the combat was smooth, no glitches or jank when fighting multiple enemies and the 4-5 what I would call big enemies. They were modelled good and had different combat move sets. The lighting particle effects for the player and enemy combat was good. Next combat. The combat is smooth and straightforward. You can use flame and a dash as well as a 4 hack and slash combo. You can jump as well and side step/ dodge. I dont think there is a parry. One thing to note, I couldnt roll? However in the fighting tutorial the opposition knight could roll. Things to think about. No bugs in gameplay. Only issue which is being really picky is at each cutscene, it would load and be bright and then about 5 secs later it would darken. That maybe to do with my settings. The eikon fight seemed a bit messy and the character models on one of them was blocky. Overall it was a great demo, which showcased the game and was impressed with the story. Would I buy the game on day one, yes if someone gave me £60, so I could support the devs on day one. But, I've got a big backlog and not a lot of time. Anyone who hasn't played the demo I would recommend it.

Re: Star Wars Outlaws Looks Legitimately Mind Blowing in Huge PS5 Gameplay Demo

Gfoot

This is looking really good. I think the quality of the Ubisoft AC games can be translated into the ultimate star wars game. Seems to have a good story and a great bunch of characters. Like the droid. Hopefully this will have lots of missions and areas to explore and have some great vehicles..being a space outlaw is cool and the space fighting adds another dimension to the game adding more variety. Just to note at least got some idea about the story. Looking forward to this game now. Never new it existed until now.

Re: Reaction: Sony Flubs First Proper PS5 Presentation in Over 18 Months

Gfoot

I thought it was decent. The game I liked most was Phantom Blade Zero. It looked really good gameplay with interesting characters. The sword fighting looked amazing. The speed of the main character and the move set really impressed me; especially the martial arts to sword play. If there are variety in the bosses and characters this could be a special game as long as it is not a short game. I was hoping for a new God of War set in ancient Egypt. It would have also been great to see some Rise of the Ronin gameplay as well.

Re: God of War Dev Is Working on Something Inspirational

Gfoot

I would think a God of War set in Egypt. I would title it God of War - The Underworld. You could have Atreus and Kratos searching for the book of the dead and the book of the living. Kratos or Atreus can transverse into the land of the underworld. Maybe to save each other as one of them gets trapped there. You can have battles with Osiris, Anubis, Horus, Ra, Apopis, Sekmet, Nefertem, Seth etc. After you defeat each God you get a unique weapon 😉 or skill.
Basically the main Egyptian gods. All the Gods or deities have descriptions or hold scepters etc.. So can have weapons and special effects or moves. (Seth e.g. could have special moves based on lightning, storms, teleporting, lightning bolts etc.. ) I have not completed Ragnarok yet, but I'm sure they could tie the Story in or just create a new one. You could have an epic battle to save Atreus or Kratos not going into the afterlife etc.. and a gateway to the stars. You can have great weapons and locations. Temples with devious traps and puzzles like in pyramids or temples etc.. You can have Thoth similar to Mimir. You could have Bastet, similar to Freya. Also have Ptah similar to Brok. I could write a good script for this. I think this could be a outstanding 👌

Re: Cyberpunk 2077 PS5 Version Out Now

Gfoot

PS5 upgrade working for me with PS4 disc. Playing first act. Seems good. Lot of stuff to take in at first. I had PS4 installed, then auto downloaded update, but was PS4 version. So I deleted the game. Put the disk back in and started PS4 re-install. Went to PS store clicked on trial for PS5 added to cart, then as the PS4 version was installing, deleted the trial from my Cart, then checked on my PS4 downloading, then
it gave me the option of downloading the PS5 version, which I did. Just stopped my PS4 install altogether. It's probs a lot simpler than this, but can confirm the PS5 version works and it is a free upgrade. Had the same issue with G of the G. Have fun 👍
