@anon_pel222 no. Their consoles pay homage to skyscrapers. They've been purposely designing they're consoles to resemble city skylines and sky scrapers for generations. It started with ps2. This concept is nothing new.
Boring.... Generic. Abilities have almost no impact to them. However, the gameplay segment after 10 min looks far better than the earlier stuff shown. Wish it actually looked next gen too.. This looks exactly like PS4 tech.
@Cutmastavictory you can't? How about while watching a movie or TV show? It doesn't need to stay on during these things. And if you need to quickly turn it on to pause you can do that. Better than letting it sit on wasting battery.
Really? I thought this was common knowledge... It's the exact same logic as the PS4 power button. You press it to turn on, hold it down to turn off. Not that hard to figure out.
Ummmm..k who doesn't already have Uncharted 4? It came free with 90% of systems sold and even if you didn't get it with your PS4, you've likely bought it by now if you had any remote interest whatsoever in it. And if you somehow haven't bought it yet, AND you were interested in it, you can find it used anywhere for like $5-10. And the second game is a dirt racing game no one has heard of or probably cares about if they even have.
@Worlock_ed what are you talking about?? How have they NOT made people aware this is just the first part? They literally say this every single time they talk about the game. If people still don't know then they're just ignorant and aren't interested in the game anyway.
I purchased my 10 candy bars within 10 min of this thing going live. Submitted no problem and got the codes for all possible items within a couple hours..
@Jaz007 The fact they are using Unreal Engine this time and have most of the foundation built from the first part the next parts should go faster than any of their main line titles have gone before.
@BarefootBowser mostly standards when it comes to graphics. They've been quite obsessed with being the best looking jrpgs ever at time of release. Not so much in other areas lately.
@ShogunRok regarding the comment box annoyance, it should be a floating box that follows you at the bottom of your page as you scroll OR there should be a floating button in the corner u can press any time u want to add a comment and when pressed, it brings you automatically to the bottom where the comment box is.
@BarefootBowser that's usually due to them maintaining their high standards and always trying to build their games in their own engines that are still under development. This time they're sticking to unreal engine which is super established, powerful and simple to use. It will speed up the process a lot just for that reason alone.
@ILikeStake nice! I think a lot of people went through this same process. You're strong to be about to stop watching trailers and stuff being released. It'll make the experience that much better when you finally play it fresh.
@FullbringIchigo it should be a floating box that follows you at the bottom of your page as you scroll OR there should be a floating button in the corner u can press any time u want to add a comment and when pressed, it brings you automatically to the bottom where the comment box is.
@potter32 it's going to be a lot more tactical than ff15 was. Ff15 was so simplistic and mindless with the combat although fun for a while. The storytelling will be vastly better than ff7R than ff15. It's almost a guarantee.
@3MonthBeef yes by literal definition the word episode doesn't mean anything different than volume or parts when it comes to length. But the problem is that most people ASSOCIATE the word episode with TV series and they are usually very short compared to volumes, parts, etc in media. So that's why everyone freaked out about it being "episodic".
@BarefootBowser they've stated that the second part is well under development and go much faster now that they've gotten a lot of the difficult foundational stuff out of the way. Plus they have made the decision to stick with unreal engine so that speeds it up as well.
@Wsritucci37 the only reason it wouldn't seem as good is because of nostalgia. But pretty much anyone that hasn't played the original will likely consider the remake a better game than the original since it hasn't aged well but was a masterpiece for its time.
@FullbringIchigo Exactly.. I was just about to say this. They mistakenly used the word "episodic" in the very beginning not realizing the implications of the word. It's not "episodic" but just a huge story that needs to be told over several parts. It's not just going to cover the original story, but a much expanded upon and altered version of the original story.
@JohnnyShoulder realistically it'll take at least 2 years for them to make each part but I see what you mean. Each game will likely be very different from the last with the second installment being very open world compared to the first. They have the entire world map to cover. This first one is just set in Midgar (mostly, outside of flash backs and stuff).
@Real_Obsi it's not going to feel like a typical City you find in other games.. the entire game will go through many different sections of the same city with varying environments. Just like cyberpunk 2077.. it's all in one huge City with different areas and sections to it.
@TheAwesomeBowser they'll be much bigger as have textures become higher res and assets become larger in file size. As well as the increase in complexity of animations and everything else that does into games by the second and third installments.
@Matroska funny but that won't be in this first installment. By the time they come out with the third part or whatever it will be, game textures and assets will take up so much space it will probably need 1TB for KOTR animation.
@Wsritucci37 definitely. No need at all to play the original. It's just a nostalgic experience for us that have and a brand new epic experience for those that haven't.
@Enuo not hard to fill up 1TB on a ps4.. i have 1.5TB and it's constantly full. Need to delete like 3 games every time I want to put a new game on there it feels.

Re: The Pathless Is a PS5 Open World Unlike Any Other
@RBMango you can't expect a game called "The Pathless" to have... Paths. The core theme and idea here requires open exploration.

Ya just throw in the typical fps.. That will shut people up since it's all they seem to care about.

@OneManDroid they're both going to be limited in fps. Not just ps5. Xbox won't run it at 60 either.
