I haven't bought a console for 16 years now. Switched over to PC and never looked back.

Recently got a Steam Deck OLED to complement my Gaming PC.

Consoles offer me absolutely nothing and are more expensive i.e more expensive games, pay to play online, etc.

Not to mention game preservation on consoles is extremely poor too.

I'm glad not to have invested in any of their ecosystems.

I only care about Sony's PC output. Couldn't care less about their PlayStation consoles.

That 19% have bought/built a gaming PC or got themselves a Steam Deck.

What people need to do is ditch closed platforms (Consoles) and switch over to an open platform i.e PC.

Console gamers always get screwed over. I remember buying Outrun Online for the Xbox 360 years ago, due to licencing that game got pulled from the platform, i couldn't even download it anymore.

I bought Outrun: Coast 2 Coast on Steam, roughly about the same time i purchased Outrun Online on the Xbox 360, difference is, i can still play Outrun: Coast 2 Coast on Steam (at glorious 4K/60 too), it wasn't pulled from my library.

Consoles are a poor long term investment.

PlayStation is the brand for casuals. They are only interested in generic AAA titles.

There is a reason Indie games sell poorly on PlayStation consoles.

Naughty Dog, decent PlayStation developer, sh*te PC developer.

I hope a Nixxes are working on the inevitable PC version.

No, I don't own a PS5 and I don't want one either. Or any console for that matter.

My next hardware purchase is a new GPU for my PC and a Steam Deck OLED for gaming on the go.

I'll play the inevitable PC version.

Got zero interest in the PS5 version.

You should do it, can't go wrong with a gaming PC, plus all the options and advantages it provides the user.

And you're right, MS are looking long term and these devices (consoles) will be irrelevant. The writing is on the wall for them.

Consoles always were and always will be a bad investment in the long term.

Also, if I wanted to play Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch games, it would cost more than £1000+ in hardware alone, and that's without even buying a game, accessories or adding in subscriptions.

Therefore, i'd rather invest this money in building a gaming PC, have all the benefits that go with that platform and carry all my games/accessories over with no worries whatsoever. Plus it's the only platform you can play Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo (emulated) games on one device.

Consoles are dead. Streaming will even eventually replace those devices. Casuals drive the console market, once they can get a good enough experience, there is no need for them to spend £500/$500 on hardware. Just look at GeForce Now, it's f**king amazing, and those types of services will only get better.

In the future, the only platform you'll be playing with dedicated hardware is the PC (also due to the fact the PC is needed for productivity, content creation, etc, so hardware will still be manufactured). Everything else will be a streaming platform.

PlayStation owners are only interested in AAA games. This game will sell around 5000 copies on the platform and that's being kind.

Just buy/build a gaming PC and play all the PS/Xbox exclusives on one platform (including Switch games). Plus you aren't limited to just playing games on the platform either.

Never liked WipeOut. Always thought it was a poor man's F-Zero.

A complete and utter waste of resources on Sony's part.

Consoles are crap now, just pay a little extra and build a decent gaming PC as all Sony/Xbox exclusives eventually get released there, not to mention all the benefits that come with being on that platform. As for Nintendo, just emulate those Switch games.

I've never seen a generation of consoles so uninspiring in all my life.

I feel sorry for console owners, £70 games, 1 digital store (no competition), pay to play online, spoon fed what console Manufactures think you want, No 100% backward compatibility with previous generation of games, no option to set your frame rates for every game, poor warranties on hardware, no promises all your games will work with next generation of hardware...i could go on and on.

Time to give console manufactures the middle finger and jump ship. Console owners are being played like a fiddle.
