Nah. I got about 300 hours outta Helldivers. But for the past week it crashes every time I try to customize a weapon. I read there are some workarounds…but I’m not so desperate to play that I’ll try them. This bug felt like the right time to leave the game behind.
@Nepp67 ok. But you folks are outliers. It doesn’t matter if your comment garners a few likes on a game site. People bent on having physical releases are not making or breaking sales numbers. So whatever happened/happens, it’s not cuz of disc issues.
If he sticks to his vision, then why would he take it as a negative — on any level — that it’s testing better?
Genius, artist …yea yea yea. But put aside the ego a teeny bit. If you didn’t compromise, maybe take a lil joy in that more people appreciate what you’ve done.
@FinneasGH no. If someone has a good idea and sound mechanics in an interesting world they shouldn’t just cede open world games to the GTA folks. No way in hell.
There’s nothing wrong with open world titles. If they’re done well I prefer them by a wide margin. How stupid would it be if it was the sole province of grand theft auto. Which shock of shocks….some people didn’t enjoy.
So. What. Companies charge what they want. If it’s not a necessity, what do you care? If you want it fervently enough, you’ll budget for it. If you don’t, you won’t. Either way it doesn’t hurt you. But people want to be offended that a studio is charging absurd prices for something absolutely NO ONE needs. Let ‘em.
@Simong85 way to go dark with this. The devs have, in fact, reacted. And the fact is that this sort of mention will thrill them, regardless of their personal politics, because it puts the title in front of a lot of people.
People on instagram who’d never heard of this game will be a lot more likely to at least look it up now, no matter how they feel about Macron.
Whatever. Dinner out with my wife and son runs $50 with tip if we hit an actual restaurant. Going to a matinee movie costs $30 for two of us with sodas. I buy a handful of full price games a year. They give me way more hours of entertainment than going to a movie. Hell, I’ve got 300+ hours in my favorites. If a game interests me enough I’ll buy it.
I can’t stand extraction shooters. And yea, the problem is with me. But I feel like an ass killing another player, taking loot he spent a chunk of time gathering (along with his kit). And I resent when it happens to me. Shoot people in Battlefield or CoD, fine. But this genre really feels geared towards getting a kick out of screwing over others. Watching streams just reinforces that impression.
I dipped my toe in it. Hated it (win or lose). Quit.
I have a friend who enjoys it. I tried it on GamePass and, while it may sound strange, it didn’t feel like Indiana Jones. At least to me. Too much sneaking around bopping Fascists in the back of the head with a wrench. I didn’t expect a Raiders game to stress stealth so much.
@Godot25 but if you’re never going to own a gaming PC, then so what?
I have no interest in gaming on PC. I don’t care what they have. Hell, I irrationally loathe the “master race” who split their time between bragging about their graphics cards and whining about driver issues.
So the only relevant bit for me is I get an upgrade.
The game was ok. But I lost interest in revisiting it when that guy with the dev team started griping and bellyaching and acting like an overall jackass. Someone should have taken his phone away. Don’t wish ill on the guy but it’s hard to root for someone who behaves like that.
I won’t buy it mainly because I have no desire to play with anyone outside my brother and a circle of friends. Gaming “communities” are largely comprised of entitled, toxic people displaying the worst kind of behavior. Why is this survey a shock?
@KundaliniRising333 The irony of singing your own praises for being one of a few able to civilly discuss something…above insults or pettiness….while knocking others in the very same post….bet that’s lost on you. Kinda awesome.
It’ll always happen. Article will show Pro is a legit upgrade. People who own one will dare to say they’re liking what they bought….then the super savvy naysayer pops up to tell you how any benefit is minimal and then proceed to lay on the snark.
I don’t get where people got the belief that, when others are happy or content, someone was waiting for them to pop up and say why they don’t like it and will never get one. Sure, you’re free to say what you want. But why do you get a kick out of trying to tell others they’re wasting money just because you opted out?
@WildFireV6 whatever. “Learn their lesson?” I like the Assassins games. Others like them. But it’s always refreshing when others log online to wish failure on franchises they don’t want to play, comfy in the knowledge others are having fun “wrong.” If it ain’t for you, that’s fine. There are genres I don’t like. But I don’t think others need to learn a lesson based on what I do or don’t want to play.
@Dragon83 I’m looking forward to it. And I so wish gamers would drop this “historically accurate” crap…or the vapid notion that there will EVER be a “realistic” first person shooter.
There is no realistic video game. There is no truly accurate video game. Because that’s the ffing point. They’re games. And we’re sitting in front of a screen looking for entertainment.
Realistic shooter conversations are beyond stupid. No drill instructor ever said “but if you’re shot, don’t worry. Just use that bandage in your quick equip slot and you’ll be fine. Holy *****, you’re dehydrated? Drink that bottle of water and your % will shoot back up in seconds.”
@Oram77 the game is fine. And features an interesting setting (1800s Japan interacting with Western powers).
World is not dull or repetitive. Those statements are the same tired arguments people throw out because they’re tired of open world games…so everyone should be.

Re: Major Warhammer 40k: Darktide Patch Announced Alongside New Dog-Based Arbites Class
The trailer looks like that scene in Dredd where Urban is letting Mama know just how F’d she is.

Re: Beloved Ex-PlayStation Boss Believes $70, $80 Games Are a Steal
He’s not wrong. Go to the movies with my wife cuz it’s one of the few we need to see in theater? $30. For 2 hours.
If you’re mad that something that eats up 15-20 hours (which is on the short side) is too much at $70 then you’re an entitled whiner. Learn to budget.

@Korgon see, “goofy” isn’t for me. Far more interested by feudal Japan / horror collaboration.
Re: Reaction: Game Key PS5 Discs Are a Disgrace, and Sony Should Put a Stop to Them
I don’t understand the point of physical releases at all. But if you sell a disc, it should be a disc with the game on it.
But why are people shocked? Look at the scam/shovelware games on its digital storefront and tell me Sony cares about its customer base.

Re: Leaked MindsEye PS5 Gameplay Has Fans Giving GTA Veteran's Latest the Side Eye
I love how the staff here can make assumptions on the overall quality of the game, using words like “clearly,” based off a few leaked videos.
It could be a great game. It could be straight ass. Doesn’t change the fact that articles like this are pointless.
Re: Gallery: New GTA 6 Screenshots Look Utterly Outstanding
I’ll be more interested around the holidays. A release 12 months away still feels too hypothetical to care about.
