Ready to dive into this, with it coming out next year that will give me plenty of time to replay RE7 so this is easily the most exciting game from Summerfest.
Counting the days till this comes out, really excited for the physical releases, this is how publishers should be treating their games, with special extras that a person can show off within a physical collection.
As someone who is devoted to physical media collecting, hearing that we are entering an era where publishers just put keys on discs instead of the game is just insulting. If anything they should be doing the opposite for physical collectors, give something to remember, a documentary, booklets with information about the team and production but no... there just isn't respect for the medium anymore, its just treated like a disposible product instead an art form.
I'm excited for the game but I have learned to always keep my hype in check for AAA games no matter the developer. Until I see gameplay and hear from reviewers that I trust that the game lives up to the hype I will be fine just sitting at "excited but cautious".
Well deserved! probably my favorite fighting game since Guilty Gear Strive, its has everything you can ask for. Solid Characters, the Drive System is both easy to understand but hard to master, and it has a lite fighting game rpg that really helps give the street fighter world more life and backstory.
Definitely in a wait and see for reviews, it looks to have a decent combat system but I need to be sold on the characters, story and world. FF has been hit and miss for a while now and I wasn't overly impressed with what I saw of FF7 Remake even with its praise.
Man.. So many great games coming in June its going to be a hard call on which to pick up first. I feel Diablo 4 going back to that D2 aesthetic really draws me in more then anything else, I really hated the cartoony look of D3, I definitely going broke this month lol.
@MFTWrecks I like your thinking, they are sitting on some of the best catalogs of IPs next to Nintendo and Capcom, and they absolutely do nothing with them because who knows why?.. more then likely they will just turn them all into MT monsters and dilute those IPs into 1 year throwaway titles.
Honestly I couldn't care less about anything that was shown, more PvP shooters is just getting ridiculous at this point. Give me something I haven't seen yet that isn't just an excuse to push more MTs on us. Why am still going back to games 12-15 years old at this point? because at least those games are fun and don't require constant daily check ins to stay relevant.
Having spent about 20 hours with the game I definitely agree with the review that there is a lot of hit and miss with the game but overall I have enjoyed my experience. I really like the world and what was built here, the character designs, combat and the variety in enemies but I think it gets hurt by wonky dialogue. There are many weird pauses with dialogue that feels like the developers had problems getting it all to work in sync and it comes off stilted outside of cutscenes. I also see how the main character can annoy people with her constant combative attitude and heavy dropping of F bombs but that is how 20 year olds are, they are immature, that is what they do.
I like what I'm seeing from the game but I can't help but wonder if the RPG part is getting lost with all the sparks and fireworks. Is there deep lore here that is being downplayed? What about the background characters, will there be side characters in the game with development? What they have shown just feels like spectacle over substance... idk. I will probably pick it up but I can shake the feeling that its going to be more DMC and not enough Final Fantasy.

Re: Talking Point: What's Your PS5 Game of the Year for 2024 So Far?
I can see Stellar Blade and Helldiver taking the prize this year, I personally didn’t play Stellar Blade but I can see why it’s combat is praised.
Re: Preview: Stellar Blade Is the PS5 Exclusive Enthusiasts Have Been Praying For
Definitely Rdy! Stellar Blade and Helldivers 2 are my go to games until Star Wars Outlaws hopefully releases.
