This is such a fantastic metroidvania that was largely overlooked when it came out. I played it on the Switch and had a blast with it. Visually oozing with style and a fantastic soundtrack, with fun combat and progression. So excited to be able to play this again on the PS5.

Independent studios should always work within safe margins and make smaller games until they have enough money to safely take bigger risks. I've seen how some indie studios have grown like that over the years and how others have failed by risking it all on one big project. Just play it safe. And listen to the dude from Larian.

Was suprised to see the update, but knew it wasn't anything major. The PS3 is still great in 2025 though! 🙌🏻 I cherish my library of games (most of them stuck on the console) dearly 🥹

Sony needs to make the right move and acquire the company or the developer, before Tencent does, and then let FromSoftware keep doing their thing.

@Drago201 I'm well aware of that. I was implying that they would remove it from ps+ so that you have to buy the ps5 version if you still want the game. They can't make any money off of anyone who is happy with the ps+ version.

I played System Shock 2 last year (after playing the SS1 remake) for the first time and damn.. it holds up so well. I had just a few graphics mods installed, but everything else in the game - the story, exploration, atmosphere, SHODAN, that twist - was still amazing. Will defintely play the Nightdive re-release 🙌🏻

These State of Play shows are fine if Sony can follow them up with a showcase of whatever big games weren't announced/covered. Timing is everything. Sony has enough games in development to start doing more shows and completely blow us away this year 😬

What ever happened to companies reusing assets from a canceled game to make a completely new game, instead of wiping it and closing the studio? Some of the biggest games/franchises have been created from other canceled projects, like Resident Evil 4 (canceled Devil May Cry game) and Assassin's Creed (canceled Prince of Persia game). Wild.
Like take what Naughty Dog worked on, for example. Whatever they were doing didn't work, but they had TLOU assets made for that. Why not just repurpose what has been created already into Factions 2? That worked. They have the blueprint for that.
Surely Spiderman: The Great Web could have also been salvaged. Just sad.

It was a highlight in gaming for me this year. It's nice that games get recognized and given awards but that doesn't phase me as much. Some of the reveal trailers were genuinely surprising, exciting and one even had me tear up a bit 🥹 Geoff did good this year and knows what the people want. The show can do without The Muppets though..

Activision has been run by a bunch of cold, heartless robots for years. Now they are trying to do the human work as well.

Good month. Aliens Dark Descent is actually very good. It nails the tense atmosphere and stress of the second film. It might not look like it, but trust me once you start playing it gets quite scary and panic inducing 🫠

Feels too soon for any substantial DLC 🤔 Maybe a few in-game items or a single quest or something. One of the surprises could be a PS5 Pro patch perhaps? Maybe some sort of crossover? Anything could happen these days 😅

This all sounds very interesting. If they can channel more Splinter Cell mechanics it might just save the stealth completely.

I'm all for DLC being included (ok.. maybe they should have their own category), given how substantial some additional content, like Shadow of the Erdtree and Phantom Liberty for example, have become. Those are like whole new games and better than a lot of full games in my opinion. A lot of work also goes into projects like those and I think they are worthy of recognition. Shadow of the Erdtree made me fall for Elden Ring all over again and it was glorious.

Any excuse to talk about HL2 is fine by me 😉 I'm still not over the fact that Sony didn't strike a deal to get Alyx on the PSVR2... we would be living in a very different world right now.

I wish we can just get some solid info on this and not these vague explanations 🤦🏻‍♂️ I think we can already guess that the AI will upscale the resolution, but the current PS5 already boosts PS4 games with variable frame rates just fine, so we need to know if locked 30fps games will get some sort of boost. That's what the people want to know! 😬 Give us the numbers!

My god that OG camera angle made the game so much more difficult because you couldn't see too far ahead of you and enemies could spot you off-screen 🫠 Instant alarm!
