Am I the only one who had hoped it was the black color Sony would change? When I first saw the PS5, I wanted all variants to have white sides, and instead the black center should come in red, green, purple and many more colors.
@Jysoe77 I'm probably waiting with next gen until 2023, when there's probably a PS5 slim and tons of cheap games. My 1080p tv from 2014 will probably also have been replaced with a newer 4k tv by then.
The Xbox has a much better system for transfer to be honest. You simple place your new Xbox Series X next to your old Xbox and it will kill the old Xbox and then consume it along with it's power and save files.
@TheIdleCritic I see. It makes sense that there is a distinction between playing a PS4 game on PS5 and playing an upgraded PS4 game on PS5. There upgrades could include things that makes it hard to use the same save file.
I honestly expected a transfer like you do between PS4s or Nintendo Switches. Just plug in a USB-stick into your PS4, choose to make a backup, and then insert this USB-stick into the PS5.
This is very disappointing, and if there isn't an easy way to transfer all my save data to the PS5 at once, what is even the point of backwards compatibility? Am I supposed to restart all my characters in Skyrim, Fallout 4, etc.? And even if Bethesda choose to make crossplay available, what are the chances some more obscure game like Overload will? I'm not replaying that game from scratch.
@nessisonett I read it as the PS5 would sell more units than the PS4 will sell in the fiscal year of the PS5 launch. But that would be somewhat obvious, because I don't think the PS4 will sell that many consoles in the holiday season of 2020.
It is however going to be interesting to see how long PS4s will be sold. Will it be impossible to buy a new PS4 in late 2021?
It's not too bad, especially when you consider that you can ADD a second ssd, unlike previous Playstations where you had to replace the hdd. I replaced my PS3 40 gb hdd to a 500 gb, which I still use today and it's nowhere near full. On my PS4 I didn't bother replacing the hdd, I just got used to deleting some games and redownload them as needed.
Also, the PS5 supports external hdds for PS4 games, so I'll probably connect one of those. All in all I don't think I'll run out of storage on my PS5.
They didn't feel like making a demo because FIFA 20 was basically the same the game. They just think you should play the previous demo and imagine what it would be like if the players were updated, but don't imagine too well or you might not buy the new game!
The $399 price of the all-digital basically made the Xbox Series S completely pointless since it costs $299. Who wants to buy a 4 teraflop machine with a slower 512 gb SSD for a mere $100 less?
I hope Sony makes as much peripherals as possible compatible since it's easier with a more powerful console. Even if the PSVR will be replaced I hope both the old and new will work with PS5 since it's unreasonable to buy new peripherals every generation.
Even though it will take time, I'm glad Playstation is betting on VR since it will eventually be huge. The prices and quality of the headsets just need to become better and way more people will start buying them.

The average Japanese home will probably not be able to fit a Playstation 5 through the door.

What does go gold mean? I thought going gold meant something had sold a certain amount.
Re: Talking Point: What Free November 2020 PS Plus Games Do You Want?
I wouldn't mind Half-Life 3.

Re: Sony Abandons Decades-Old Japanese Controller Logic for PS5
@Valhalla91 It would be hilarious if Sony made the USB-ports and disc-slot much smaller on the renders just to troll us into thinking it was gigantic.

Xbox was always the "Monster Energy™" console. It feels like Sony is devaluing the Playstation by doing marketing with these trash brands.
