It’s a good thing that 24 lead Kiefer Sutherland has plenty of practice playing Jack Bauer, because the actor may need to call upon his experience portraying the intrepid action hero in order to escape NetherRealm Studios’ in-house ninjas. Despite the developer being pretty silent since the release of superhero brawler Injustice: Gods Among Us, the Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes star has hinted that he's set to appear in a new Mortal Kombat title.
Speaking about his role as Big Boss, the actor revealed that he’s been working on Konami’s franchise for over a year, but his part in the abovementioned unannounced punch-'em-up was over “pretty quickly”. He told IGN: "I did Mortal Kombat, and that's such a huge game, but it's so not like [Metal Gear Solid].” In addition to appearing in Kojima Productions’ imminent prologue, the performer will also play the eye-patched protagonist in full sequel Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.
However, it’s unclear who he’ll voice in Ed Boon’s next brawler. There’s some speculation that he may play Snake there, too, as part of some kind of brand crossover. That certainly seems possible, seeing as gobby God of War anti-hero Kratos appeared in the last iteration of the fighting franchise. When he says it was over pretty quickly...does he mean MGS5 or Mortal Kombat? Im just grasping at straws that Solid Snake will be in MGS5 lol
I think either game would only be a short stint in the studio to be fair. I'd much prefer to see Mr Eddie Kenway or something completely daft like Lara Croft.
@SuperSilverback He's saying he did Mortal Kombat really quickly compared to Metal Gear Solid, which he's spent over a year on. I've updated the article a bit to hopefully make that clearer.
@get2sammyb haha sorry to make you change it for idiots like me!
@SuperSilverback Not at all - it should be clear for everyone to understand!
Wow, a year? That's nuts.
Working for over a year on MGS: V sound like a small game, don't you think?
People will be glad to know that Konami has confirmed that the price tag for Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes on PS4 and Xbox One has been reduced, matching the physical prices for the game on PS3 and X360.
The prologue chapter to Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, Ground Zeroes will now retail for an RRP of £29.99 for both Xbox One and PS4, as well as Xbox 360 and PS3. The digital versions of the game for Xbox 360 and PS3 remain unchanged at £19.99.
Too many crossovers. Yoda in SC4 was enough. And Solid Snake is already in SSB. What's he gonna do, shoot you?

I still need to play the new Mortal Kombat. I have Injustice and that's a blast.
