Polyphony Digital has added more weight to the reports that Gran Turismo 6 is set to park onto the PlayStation 4 at some point. Chatting with Japanese publication 4Gamer.net at E3 2013, series creator Kazunori Yamauchi explained that a next generation version of the racer will “appear naturally” in the near future.
“We won’t keep you waiting too long, but it won’t be too soon either,” he said, adding that he likes the sound of Sony’s impending console. “Basically I think it’s a good neutral machine. It’s balanced hardware with no quirks, so it’s just about how to make the software.”
Gran Turismo 6 is set to steer onto the PlayStation 3 later this year, but Yamauchi has not been shy about the possibility of a PS4 port in the past. Last month he said that the Japanese developer already has a next generation version of the sequel “in mind”. We suspect that this will deploy sometime in 2014.

Now I dont know what to do. Buy GT6 on Ps3 while I wait for the Ps4 port or just leave it till its ported? decisions...decisions....
@MadchesterManc Buy both dude, you know how long it takes for a gran turismo to arrive on any platform. just see if your ps3 stats will carry over first. gotta have my cars man.
@MadchesterManc the GT teams are so small buy both
heh that is indeed a paradox. Waiting makes it way cheaper, but then you're missing out. I'm sure the two versions will have differences acting as incentive, and stores will probably help us out with a trade-in deal, idk. At least get the PS3 one and just enjoy the loveliness of a nearly next gen experience on your comfortable old beast (like how Kingdom Hearts 2 looks way better than what we thought PS2 was capable of)
I'd much rather have Gran Turismo (PSP) on the Vita, than Gran Turismo 6 on PS4. Just sayin'.
Is the GT6 Trailer from the new PS3 improved version or the PS4? Thanks!
@Slapshot
No reason they can't do both.
