Thanks for all the votes everyone. Chrono Trigger looks to be walking this, I've always felt CT to be extremely over-rated having played it years later, maybe you had to play it at release - I completely missed the boat on that. I'm pretty sure I first played CT on the snes after Final Fantasy 8 on the ps1 so my judgements really cloudy.
