So... the 10/10 review and a friends raving impressions tricked me into buying this game. I love dystopian settings and thought "what could go wrong" and now having played for several hours, it seems like it's the most annoying, boring game I ever got. I mean I platinumed No Mans Sky for that matter... but this?
I don't want to spoil or be spoiled, but I haven't seen anything besides the creepy atmosphere that really blew my mind. Or even entertained me. It's boring repetitive "trial and error" puzzles in an unsettling environment. That's about it.
Am I just old and bitter? Am I missing something? Besides the presentation, HOW can this be a 10/10?!
So far I'd rate it 3/10. No trolling.

Seriously. I couldn't force myself to finish the game even though I know it's the last segment I am in.
The morale of the story maybe is that I absolutely hate silent puzzle platformers... I prefer games with real narrative and story it seems. 20 bucks for the can. Yay.

Yeah appearently these arent your type of games. It seems to be one of those you either like it or not games and because everyones view is different some are going to say it's a 10/10 game where others will say it's a 3/10.

In fairness I thought Limbo was unoriginal and antiquated in its game-play. If it wasn't for the 'shadow puppet' artstyle that hadn't really been done before, the game itself was very average. In fairness, these games do 'work' as expected - by that I mean they are not glitchy messes but certainly not unique or fresh.
I guess if you like the style of gameplay - that basic puzzle platform with no real narrative, then these do that job well but as far as pushing the genre or even being the pinnacle, they are nothing special...

Just finished Inside. What a fantastic game. Obviously if you don't like puzzle-platformers it probably won't be for you but for anyone that enjoyed Limbo or that type of game, this knocks the bar a notch higher. Superb.
