Re: Ubisoft 'Confident' Assassin's Creed Shadows' Imminent March Release Date Will Stick

If I had a genie, one of my wishes would be for the abolishment of the video game industry’s insistence on getting release dates years or months in advance.

Announce a game show trailers build hype talk about features, etc. but do not announce a release date until it is 100% cemented.

Delays to a target release date should be an internal thing, not a public facing thing.

There are always exceptions, but I’m willing to bet that the majority of instances is more along the lines of needing more development time to get a better launch day product than it is of any kind of problem.

So many fans of video games line and complain at these delays and at the same time, wine and complain that games continually launch in an unrated state.

It takes time for a cookies to bake. If they’re not ready yet, put them back in the oven.

Tell me when the cookies are five minutes away from being ready. I don’t need to know years in advance, and it’s unrealistic to expect that anybody can make such a prediction accurately.

Just jumped in for 20min while the kid was in the shower. No wait time, solid and polished first impression - and harder than I expected!
I think this is gonna be a big hit…

And to those scoffing at a $30 beta: it’s fun, it seems to be solid for a beta, and it supports great devs. I see no big deal here…

I’d rather this than $90 for a AAA game that claims to be 1.0 and is, in fact, a buggy and unfinished mess. At least here I know it’s a WIP.

Anyway, once the kid is in bed, I’m diving in fully! Have fun, everyone!

I had this idea while playing Ballers gate three a while ago…
All these books and lore documents that you find throughout the game are probably very interesting but while I’m playing the game, I want to play a game not read.
Give me an app that will save all those books and documents to my phone so when I am on the bus or waiting for the toaster, I can just whip up my phone and read one of those short lore documents and I would eat it up!

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty?

Does anyone know if the base game is worth trying now, if I didn’t enjoy it at launch?

The main thing that bothered me was repeated NPCs - like three of the same on screen at a time (I know, a small thing, but it killed immersion for me).

I’ll likely try it anyway, but I’m just curious as to what you all think - base, or jump to DLC?
