Nobody seems to have ever mastered the difficulty balancing on a tennis simulation, from my experience. Usually either too tough to hit the ball, or too easy to overpower the AI. Hoping this goes some way to resolving that issue, excited it's coming to Gamepass around the time of Wimbledon as well 🎾
I played it last Friday, unless Konami have patched it again since, the stuff written in this article is either inaccurate, or the writer isn't a good judge of how a football game plays. It's still slow, passing is incredibly cumbersome and it feels like your players are running around in treacle. FIFA 22 is a still a far better game to play, despite the odd gripe with it.
I'll be happy to give it a shot and optimistic it will be an improvement from the original launch disaster. Konami have enough credit in the bank with me over the years to warrant another chance. Getting a bit bored of this year's FIFA now, so this may come at a good time.
@Flaming_Kaiser Yes games like that are to enjoy too of course, I'm just referring to my own personal taste. I'd love to be able to say I'm going to dedicate 50 hours to that type of game in one sense, but because I have a short attention span these days and limited time to game, I know I'll probably never get anywhere near the end, so I play stuff that doesn't require that sort of investment.
@Flaming_Kaiser Playing games and watching films are two completely separate things. It also depends on what type of games you play, I play mainly sports games, or the odd FPS to mix it up. I'm not playing them for a cinematic experience or complicated narrative to follow through to the end, if I wanted that, I'd just watch a film. I play to enjoy.
@daveofduncan Firstly, not sure what you're insinuating by entitled. Bit of an odd comment. All I was suggesting was, perhaps don't release a next gen version, until all the next gen features are available. This version isn't noticeably different to the PS4 version, which was already available.
Bit disappointed really, I don't consider it the next gen version until the 120fps option is available. Can't understand why it wouldn't be immediately. I'll stick to Warzone until they finally add it.
I think that's a pretty good lineup in all fairness, never connected with Returnal myself, but I know some people love it. Miles Morales will probably end up being one of my games of the generation, so perhaps the people who were on the fence about it and didn't want to drop the dough originally, will now get to experience how great it is.
@UltimateOtaku91 Some people don't necessarily play games to finish them, or ever worry about having a backlog. I always have a largish rotation of my favorite style of games and just uninstall when I grow tired of them. Subscription services are perfect for this kind of approach.
Makes a refreshing change to read about this. We appear to live in a world, where more people are excited about something like Elden ring, than they are about the imminent arrival of Gran Turismo 7. Now that really does darken my soul...
@theheadofabroom I understand all the technical babble and why it's not likely to be possible in the near future to play recent AAA's portably. It was more of a rhetorical statement.
I think after the troubled start to the generation, the critics are desperate to praise. Almost post pandemic, with things returning to normal, Elden ring has no doubt come at the perfect time. I'm sure it's a great game for those that enjoy the Souls series, but ten out of ten and people saying it's a contender for greatest game of all time, I reckon that's all just a little bit over the top for a niche game, that isn't accessible enough to be for everyone.
@Roqka Always the option to upgrade your Internet speed, don't come for free though does it? I don't know many folk who can download 100gb in twenty minutes either...
@Northern_munkey I've got a PS5 you nit, was just commenting on how foolish we all are to get sucked into the marketing ploys of a new gen. Also, jog on???😂
No wonder you're happy to play at 30 frames, clearly you're still residing in 1998.
How anyone can even consider playing at 30fps in 2022 baffles me really. Doesn't matter how flash it looks, it's still gonna feel like you've wound back fourteen years and are playing on a PS3. The fact that you're having to make these tradeoffs after barely a year of a generation, shows what a mug's game buying a console is in this era...

It's better than it was, but 'feels fantastic', not sure what football games you guys have been playing over the last thirty years...

Been waiting for this for months, never played the Lost legacy, can't wait to see how mouthwatering it looks on PC.

Not interested in gaming below 60fps, even for a handheld. Wake me up when a handheld can push 60 in AAA titles...
