I liked The 3rd Birthday. It would be cool to see a release on PS5.

While I can understand the concern around plagiarism, the reality is you rarely see this style of game anymore. The industry has changed alot, and I believe that is why people are supporting it.

I mean, while the quality of the original Parasite Eve might not be quite there, it looks fun and easy to pick up. I'll probably buy a copy myself to be honest.

I’m not UK based, and I understand this may be easier said than done.

It’s important to remember the Internet isn’t a given right. As a parent, you do and should have the right to control how and when a child can access it.

Implementing rules that can be bypassed or potentially introduce more severe threats, in order to control how everyone can access and use a service intended for adults, is not the same as purchasing a packet of cigarettes or alcohol.

Providing easy access to monitoring tools, education and parent guidance is a more effective way to protect your child online. Parents need to take responsibility, otherwise you are handing your child the keys to the car and wondering how they are accessing inappropriate content for their age.

@GeeEssEff I’m glad to see you are enjoying it. I found the original Death Stranding to be a slow start to be fair, but as I continued found myself thoroughly enjoying the game. If you find the time, definitely give it another go.

I’m really enjoying Death Stranding 2, but I also loved the original. Regardless of praise, the game isn’t for everyone, and that’s fine. There are many popular titles I don’t like, so it’s refreshing when a game like this comes along.

It’s easy for people to take his comment out of context. I understand the point he is making. Kojima’s attention to detail is one of the reasons I enjoy his games so much. In the case of Death Stranding 2, the outcome was positive. Rainy looks incredible.

I’ve just watched the clip featured, and what he describes isn’t really sexual in nature at all, but attentive to detail rather.

I can understand why this would lead into a conversation about sexual harassment, given this is the developer of Stellar Blade, and clearly there are those who either dislike the game, or find it offensive in some manner.

In my opinion, this is simply an overreaction.

@DualWielding As much as I prefer third person RE, I didn’t mind first person either. It’ll be interesting to see how they incorporate both from the ground up.

Capcom are straight up awesome, not only are their games interesting and fun, they are visually appealing.

My biggest dislike with a lot of modern games, on a broader scale, is how they appear visually. Standards are obviously different for studios outside Asia, but Capcom are popular enough to appeal to a larger demographic.

Capcom just nail it with great visuals and fun gameplay.

Well deserved. Stellar Blade is an excellent game and one of my favourites this generation. Great work!

I wouldn’t go as far to say unrealistic, personally. Stylised though, for sure. Unless of course, you are talking about the game in general, you know, battling monsters in swimsuits and all. But you’ve got to have a bit of fun in life 😅

@ChrisDeku I certainly don’t do that and I enjoy the game. Nor does it bother me if people enjoy Horizon. It’s just about having fun.

They have an opportunity to create a great single-player, story driven campaign with Marathon. The game being live-service only sets limits.

I really do like the design around this game, and great to see Marathon making a comeback. I just wish Bungie would focus on also giving us a singleplayer story like their previous games before Destiny.

I think Kojima’s games are uniquely Japanese, but appeal to Western audiences as well.

Death Stranding is a prime example.

Whatever they are trying to do here, it’s not working. I noticed the tiles looked a bit weird all of a sudden.

Kojima’s attention to detail is what sets his games apart from others. DS2 looks like it will be amazing, as was the original.

I would agree the game has been a success with it’s Chinese audience, which isn’t a bad thing. It’s well deserved. The game is actually brilliantly crafted and a lot of fun. It can be quite challenging too. I highly recommend if you are on the fence.

Also, discussion and debate are good, but accusing each other of being either far right or left is only going to contribute to division. Take some time to be courteous to each other.

@Ogbert I do understand your perspective, and I think you raise a great argument. I think we differ on our opinions however.

The same points you have raised on sexual violence and harassment, can and should equally apply to physical, even verbal.

Violence is depicted largely in an unrealistic manner, and games do reward the use of. The more you fight, the more skill points you unlock, the more upgrades permitted, the more advanced methods are made available to the player. You may even unlock an achievement congratulating you.

I entirely agree that the media we consume impacts us in some way, and may influence, even subconsciously, our decisions in real life. This doesn’t just apply to extreme cases. I would argue that many times it is in fact women who are the target of physical violence.

Now, I don’t have any interest in running around up-skirting undead zombies, nor do I really find extreme gore appealing. I do however feel that if we are to criticise, we need to look at the bigger picture.

In no way am I trying to belittle your argument or viewpoint. I actually respect it. You obviously care about the wellbeing of others, and it’s great we are able to have a discussion.

I don’t mean to double post, but I’d also like to add in no way is my previous comment a call for censorship of any kind. Age Ratings and Warnings exist for a reason. Whether they are effective in their current form is questionable, maybe that’s something we need to review. I mean, I don’t think I’ve ever noticed a warning on a digital storefront.

Age ratings and warnings are there to help inform the consumer beforehand. If somebody may have sensibilities, a warning beforehand will better assist to choose a product that is suitable for them.

I’d like to think if somebody is mature enough to consume an adult product, they are mature enough to make their own informed decisions as to what is right for them.

The idea that one form of violence is somehow more acceptable than another is wrong, in my opinion.

@Ogbert As much as I respect your opinion here, I disagree. Violence and harassment, whether that be physical or sexual, is equally horrific and traumatic. This may be more so for people who have experienced or live amongst violent crime.

As comedic as it may be presented, violence is largely glorified, encouraged, rewarded and by far more common place amongst mainstream video games. I believe people purposely turn a blind eye to this.

I actually think the game looks good. As for any concerns, we won’t really know until the game is released. Everything is speculation based on what is being revealed.

What an awesome introduction the start was. Absolutely loved it! Game turned out great so far.
