@lazarus11 wow I spent 26.99 whatever will I do lmao calm down dude. I thought it looked interesting and I had an okay time for the five or six hours it took to beat and moved on to Crimson Desert and Screamer
@Yousef- it was a style in those times and she does it because she wants to be a knight but women weren’t allowed so she uses it to pass off as a man. Throughout the game the enemies constantly call her boy or man until she talks and it catches them off guard lol
I would be a little more forgiving and give it a 6. Once you get the rhythm of combat down it’s actually a decent system and the environments are absolutely drop dead gorgeous that you go through
I’m so excited for this already have it preloaded and ready to play at midnight tonight. What are we talking about in regards to campaign length because that was one of the main reasons I bought this along with the aesthetic and racing
It’s cool and I’ll buy it day one most likely but it’s one gimmick isn’t going to be enough for me especially with a trite story and average level design. Capcom has entered the rarified air of a Rockstar,ND,Fromsoftware etc where s**t other games would be hit for in reviews gets a pass because of pedigree and being beloved.
I’m real excited for it and already have it preordered. I just hope reviews don’t overhype like they did for Dragons Dogma 2 which ended up being mid and having no legs because word of mouth was not good.
Seems like a good time to dive in pun intended. I’ve made sure to get all the time limited dlc so far so with this expansion I’ll have tons of game to play
@datamonkey do you not play Fortnite,COD,Apex Legends or any of the numerous gacha games where skins routinely cost 25 and you can spend way more than that pulling for characters in gachas. So yes that actually is decent value compared to other games. You also didn’t have to spend double you had to get the five pack but luckily that’s getting fixed
@Jay767 yeah it’s doing respectable numbers right now and we don’t have psn numbers but it has like almost 5000 reviews last I looked with like a 4.7 so the people actually giving it a shot are really liking it
You know what I don’t get people cry oh you lose all your stuff if you die when that’s no different than when someone’s playing a battle royale and at least in Marathon and other extraction shooters your constantly improving your character between runs
@GamingGod I’m talking more about people’s time and money especially with the growth pc is experiencing while consoles have stagnated. Sony has tons of competition that they have to navigate even with Xbox being on its death bed and not providing any
@lazarus11 that I can’t explain besides the state of play was already packed and without a new trailer they probably didn’t want the static of showing just a release date. I mean it’s no weirder than them showing Horizon Hunters gathering a few days before the state of play
@jFug lol what I didn’t call you out on you criticizing Sony I called you out on trying to say Marathon looks like the next Concord which is just lmao worthy
@jFug nah Destiny 2 was still doing great for the first few years until they wrapped up the story with the Final Shape and even than the game is over a decade old and still pulls in respectable numbers. Marathon is looking like it might hit and we know they’ve started preliminary work on Destiny 3 so I feel like overall the Bungie acquisition has been fine to good
@KundaliniRising333 I really don’t think it was and it has nothing to do with being a Sony glazer lol. I mean they’ve done this before just as recently as Ghost of Yotei
@Godot25 those margins def played a part but the biggest reason they went multiplat is because their console sales were bad and with gamepass they weren’t making money on their games and now their console sales are atrocious . They simply don’t have the ecosystem to support exclusives and the Xbox brand has like absolutely no mindshare with the casuals and with the rumored 1000 plus Xbox branded pc coming which will be a niche within a niche there is no universe where they backtrack on exclusives so yes I believe it’s def a can’t put the genie back in the bottle situation
@Godot25 sony porting some of their games like two years later to pc and even then they’ve slowed down on releases to MS spending millions in the past almost two years setting up their teams and pipeline to be the biggest third party publisher is absolutely, massively different and is a can’t put the genie back in the bottle situation. They aren’t going back to exclusives when they have a minuscule ecosystem that don’t pay for games. Like do people want studios to close and thousands to lose their jobs just so they can say they have exclusive smh
@Oram77 yeah it’s ridiculous and something I believe only Xbox fanboys say. Xbox hasn’t been competition to Sony for a decade plus now and Sony has bigger fish to worry about like PC,Nintendo,Mobile,F2P and Gacha games etc than the shambling corpse that is Xbox
@lazymike MS hasn’t been Jack ***** to Sony in like a decade. They have more important competition in Nintendo,Valve and PC in general,F2P games, mobile, etc. MS is never walking back on exclusives you don’t spend millions in the last almost two years getting your pipeline and teams in order to be the biggest third party publisher in gaming to just say sike we’re taking those ip back especially in an ecosystem that has utterly collapsed and have shown they don’t buy games thanks to gamepass
Jesus people move on it sucks but complaining and especially attacking other games and studios is just childish even more so because it’s coming from freaking grown ass adults
I’ll probably be there day one I just hope the gameplay is at least decent. Remedy haven’t made a game with good gameplay in like 15 years and them tackling melee doesn’t instill me with confidence
@clvr if by general consensus you’re talking reviews you’re right but the ot on resetera say it’s way better than fine and the ps store ratings show the same
The user reviews are completely different and which I align with. This is a very well made metroidvania that might not be doing anything different but it does everything that it needs to do as a metroidvania good or better especially the level design and secrets and that’s all I ask for in a metroidvania. I will say though in no universe is this a freaking 69 it’s at least an 8. Like freaking Possessor(s) has a higher score and that game is nowhere near as good a metroidvania as this which just goes to show how worthless reviews really are in the end
@kcarnes9051 because them being bold and colorful doesn’t make them alike ***** if that was true you could do that for thousands of games, movies, shows etc but we don’t because that would be ridiculous.
@kcarnes9051 they don’t look anything alike and fortnite didn’t invent that style even if they did lol.The game looks like the movie Mitchell vs the Machines if anything not to mention Fortnite would kill to have the amount of detail that hunters gathering has not to mention how far ahead it is animation wise
@Flora2122 silk song has a different artstyle it went for which you might prefer and that’s fine but trying to compare two completely different artstyles is pointless
@Shinnok789 the games are going for two totally different looks so why compare? This went the more blasphemous look which I prefer because those are some of the most beautiful games on console and this got really close to looking as good as them
