Yeah I don't think this is very altruistic. Many of us have annual subscriptions that expire in time for the annual discounts. This will push some of us into paying considerably more for our subscription in November. Boo.

The world's population has grown 32% since the PS2 was released. I won't be impressed until the Switch has sold 32% (and counting) more than the PS2.

Probably not, but only because the steam deck is my new PSP. They missed a trick not getting there first for me.

I remember them emailing a survey out to gauge appetites for a Legacy of Kain remaster years ago. I'm so glad it's finally coming to fruition. Not many games match the vibe of Soul Reaver and co.

We had human calculators for centuries. NASA famously got to the moon on the backs of their calculations. When we were still using punch-cards, just about every tech company in the world had a team of calculators. That role disappeared very very quickly, taking many (largely female) jobs out of the workplace forever.

It couldn't be done without AI blahblah but they've literally been doing it for years without it.

I am a benevolent enough ruler to let the wife and kids monopoloizise (arse) the tv and playstation over summer, getting maybe 5-10 hours a week for myself.

This year I'm shunting them off after 8PM to get my Story of Seasons fix, and I have a steam deck for the days I do have off, so I expect I'll get a bit more gaming in.

Gotta love the consistency of the acquisition to destruction pipeline.

Ys is the best long-running JRPG franchise that no one ever mentions in discussions about best long-running JRPG franchises.

I'm not concerned. Personally, I only picked up the PS5 so I didn't have to hear the migraine-inducing jet mode my PS4 was so fond of launching if you so much as pressed pause.

It's the first FF I've not pre-ordered since XII. I'm not sure when I'll pick it up. I will, but I'm in no rush. Lightning Returns, XV, XVI, and part 1 were all enjoyable enough, but have pushed the series pretty far away from the required reading of most games prior.

some fans are currently bouncing off the walls in excitement for part two.

This'll be the first I don't preorder. I still liked all of them, but Lightning Returns, XV, VII Part 1, and XVI for me is a string of merely decent games that have removed the series from day one status.

The extras aren't for me, but I think it's a good offering nonetheless. Resi 2 in particular is one of the best in its genre, and there's plenty of variety in the rest.

Honestly this is a great selection. Sometimes games aren't for you, but a majority claiming this is crap?

Can't wait to watch my wife virtually powerwash the ***** out of something, and then watch my kid do it, and then my other kid, because that's exactly what's going to happen.
