Their TGS State of Plays are usually pretty damn good. It doesn't need to be a Showcase to be hype at all... but ON that note.. lately every time they DO have a show that people call disappointing, there's always something from them that comes out and takes off.
Furthermore... Its TGS month and most multiplatform games go to Sony's platform anyway. Instead of being stressed or even relying on single show, look forward to games you can play that will also be announced across the board. The first-party obsession is self-damaging when you lose sight of all the other games you could be playing.
There is literally no shortage of things to play and people are still complaining about the library and remasters.
The irony? Everyone has their double standards, like a Bloodborne Remaster or will buy games they had no interests in the first place during Playstation showcases like Helldivers 2.
Gravity Rush 2 deserves another chance, even after how hard they pushed promotions the first time around.
This article is sickening. Things are only possibly fine now that Nintendo does it? And just because they gave it a certain amount of time difference, it's praised?
First and foremost, NINTENDO ALREADY DID THIS BEFORE. It was the first Wii Shop which means Microsoft and Sony both have them beat out on the digital storefront in longevity.
Newsflash: Nintendo rarely gets any backlash that sticks for ANYTHING they do. The reason this comparison makes me sick to my stomach is because people are taking for GRANTED how nice it is to have a company CHANGE something when people complain. You don't GET that with Nintendo. Insulting the CEO of Playstation just because of his views does NOT change the fact that change STILL happened. I rather a guy own up to fact that they were wrong than be ignored forever! Even Microsoft has been pretty flexible to change when people complain. It hurts that folks are trying to turn that all on it's head out of fear, let alone just the idea that everyone will attack these guys WAY worse than Nintendo over just about anything.
Do folks even fathom how much content was ON PSN? Over 15 years of digital content... PS1/2 classic, 3, 4, V, P, Digital only games(including Minis too), movies, individual episodes, DLC, demos, trials, trailers, applications, and I'm sure I'm still missing SOMETHING. It's so much, I can barely keep track of what "I" own! Meanwhile, how much are you losing on Nintendo's end? How many times does it MAKE that you've lost some of that stuff on their end at that? I'm not giving Sony the OK to get rid of it, I'm just making sure you all realize how much there is manage here and it's still there. Even if it was JUST the games, its a lot! And I ALSO realize that folks want Sony to make it easier to access. I hear you.
