@RoomWithaMoose Why do I have to justify laying off people? For me the biggest failure is the DRM (which is a direct link to not owning my games).
For the record, I would've bought Shadows even if I do not agree with some parts of the narrative of the game. But that DRM is stopping me. Is that the fault of the 19000 employees, ofc NO but companies have to face some kind of consequences at the end, not the buyers.
@AhmadSumadi I usually put quotes when I am referencing something that I did not say myself.
I see the transcript but still those people talk lime politicians. They will say anything to think they are the good guys He likes discs, right? Then why put mandatory server link in order to install the physical release?
"Whatever your thoughts on Ubisoft, the industry would be worse without it"
I completely disagree with that. Like really? The company that stated "'Get Comfortable With Not Owning Your Games". The industry is not in a good place because of companies like Ubisoft.
Right now, it is 50/50 if Ubi will be bought. Unfortunately, I expect to read about their layoffs soon. I hope there are no layoffs if they are bought, though.
Ubi made it impossible for me to even consider the game.
It has DRM and I can't EVER agree to that.
I thought I can push pass that with Hogwarts Legacy (being a huge HP fan) but I couldn't even buy that so where does that leave Shadows ... in the garbage ofc.
Now I am left with only 2 Castlevania games not beaten from the Classics collection. Adventure and Belmont's Revenge. so Castlevania The Adventure is not the chopping block this weekend.
Also, I am going to try and get into Monster Hunter with Monster Hunter World. I OWN so many MH games but never spent much time in them.
And for relaxing Heroes of Might and Magic 3 Horn of the Abyss on the Steam Deck!
@GoatFace04 Castlevania 2 Simon's Quest was my very first Castlevania. It is really special to me even if most people do not like it because of the bad mistranslations.
I love that you can just explore the world. But keep in mind that the good ending depends on how many days you took to reach the end.
And let's not forget that it introduced Bloody Tears!
This weekend and the following week I will focus on Castlevania Bloodlines as the next step in my ClassicVania journey! Already on stage 2 Greece with John Morris.
I am also starting Resident Evil 1 Remake as I've only beaten it once with Chris, long time ago!
On the side quick sessions of Resident Evil 2 VR as I am finally in the NEST Lab!!!
Oh and I am actively developing Castletoria! Each day I draw new assets for the game and code little parts Soon I will start improving the gameplay.
I am not stopping until I beat the Castlevania games I have never finished! Now on the block is Castlevania III Dracula's Curse! One of the hardest CV games to date!
However, my main task is to put more time in improving my game Castletoria! I have spent 2 days drawing and coding the equipment menu! The old one had terrible navigation
And for some relaxing if time permits (I doubt that!) Tormented Souls on the PS5 and God of War 2 on the PSVita!
After beating Castlevania Lament of Innocence and Curse of Darkness I am going to seriously put some time in Castlevania 64. I have researched how to get the good ending, and I will put some effort in this journey!
On the side I will play the amazing Guilty Gear Strive and Wolfenstein The Old Blood which is my favorite of the modern Wolfenstein games (The New Order and The New Colossus)
This weekend and the following week I will focus mainly on Castlevania Lament of Innocence! I am playing in on the Deck so I can easily take screenshots of my journey
First time playing Dragon's Dogma so that could be fun and Resident Evil 4 Remake on the PS5 because the last time I played it, it was on the PS4, and I did not make a screenshot journey.
I have started Claire A run in Resident Evil 2 N64 ... finally! On my way to meet with chief Irons and Sherry. It is a JOY to play this on the N64. The controls are so comfortable!
Also exited to start Silent Hill 2 Remake! I have never finished a Silent Hill game, so I am starting tomorrow and continuing through the week
And on the side some Titan Quest on the Switch, another fantastic game!
Castlevania Curse of Darkness is on standby for the next week
Continuing with The Witcher 3 Currently, I am leaving Ciri's trail from the Skellige Isles and going back to Velen for the ugly Uma. Enjoying the journey but there is more talking than fighting
I have started Castlevania Curse of Darkness on my Steam Deck as it is my preferred way to play it because the default camera controls on the PS2 is TERRIBLE for this game. I have never finished it because of that so I am really enjoying it now! It is a shame that a Castlevania fanatic like me never finished the game! Next on the list will be Lament of Innocence but I have to find it first.
And on the Switch, I am starting Project Warlock again. This time I am making my "screenshot journeys" with this title (as with every other game) even ordered an external HDD to keep my archive safe
This weekend I am pulling the trigger on The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt I have previously played it for like an hour. Now I will be more committed!
Also playing some Resident Evil Deadly Silence (after beating RE2 Remake yet again ) and some Shadowgate but without a guide to see how many game over screens I can get
The problem is that there is so much toxic positivity. People are even afraid to say they dislike something without being called bigot, misogynistic etc.
Also, there is no gameplay, just a bunch of product positioning.

@AhmadSumadi To be honest I did not see that from a YT video for the first time. It was NintendoLife

Not some angry Youtuber.

Re: At a Tumultuous Time, Assassin's Creed Shadows Is Doing the Business for Ubisoft
@Cornpop76 So the customers wanted the DRM in Outlaws, Avatar and Shadows? This was forced upon Ubisoft by the consumers?
Many other modern games do not have that like MH Wilds, RE games, Elden Ring (FromSoftware etc).
They are just testing the threshold for crap from the users, just to see what can pass by.

Re: Ex-Xbox Console Exclusive Indiana Jones Will Be Fully Revealed for PS5 Imminently
I want the physical edition to have a playable version on the disc. I do not want idiotic levels of DRM like with Assassin's Creed Shadows!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 573
This weekend I will tackle the last of the Castlevania games from the classic collection, Castlevania II Belmont's Revenge!
I got The Messenger so I will play that as well and, in the meantime, wander around Baldur's Gate 3
Happy gaming everyone!!!

Re: Assassin's Creed Shadows (PS5) - Striking Open World RPG Is a Real Cut Above
@ShogunRok Do you think/feel the game is enough to save Ubisoft from their current financial situation?
Re: Ubisoft Will Reportedly Fight for Assassin's Creed Shadows, Anti-Harassment Plan in Place
"Lawyers are already ready to file complaints in the event of proven harassment."
Haha, I know that it will not be "proven", yet they will try to silence criticism because they are a bad company with too many fails lately.
Re: Mini Review: Age of Mythology: Retold (PS5) - Series' Best Stands the Test of Time
I would LOVE a physical edition!
Re: Disc Rot Already Afflicts Your Physical Game Collection
Fearmongering at its finest. At least let us have couple of confirmed cases and then talk about this.

First of all, happy Women's Day to all the ladies
Now I am left with only 2 Castlevania games not beaten from the Classics collection. Adventure and Belmont's Revenge. so Castlevania The Adventure is not the chopping block this weekend.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 570
Finally, I will play Graveyard Keeper! I have been waiting for so long for a physical edition of this game!
In the meantime, I am starting Castlevania Legacy of Darkness, and I am so happy that there is no time limit tied to the good ending with Cornell!
And on the side some Silent Hill 2
Also finished the design on the Lore, Bestiary and Magic menus in Castletoria!!!

Happy gaming everyone!!!
Re: Monster Hunter Wilds Eclipses All Expectations on Launch Day
I own many MH games as I think they look amazing, but I am yet to become a hunter
I guess I have to invest more time in at least one of them.
Are the games related story wise in any way?
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 569
This weekend I will be randomly playing God of War 3, Wrath Aeon of Ruin and Ocarina of Time 3D.
3 fantastic games to set the mood
And ofc the development of Castletoria continues! This year the progress will be huge!
Happy gaming everyone!
Re: Age of Mythology: Retold PS5 Pre-Orders Live, Premium Edition Gets Early Access
@GymratAmarillo I do not know but I am ok with a LRG scam if it means a proper physical edition.
Re: Age of Mythology: Retold PS5 Pre-Orders Live, Premium Edition Gets Early Access
I hope there is a physical edition planned! I LOVE that game!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 568
@GoatFace04 Thank you! You can check the thread about the game in the sister site of PS, Nintendo Life. There are some more screenshots there
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 568
@GoatFace04 it is so nice to see someone becoming a CV fan
For me this is the greatest thing in gaming EVER created

If I follow the main quest only, around 15-20 hours.

So, the writers of Veilguard are all fired because the game was not a live service? Hahahahah Good one!

Re: Cave Crave on PSVR2 Could Be One Way to Cure Claustrophobia
This looks like the definitive John Jones experience ... no thanks. I prefer zombies and stuff like that instead of being in a small cave.
Re: Preview: Assassin's Creed Shadows Is the Golden Ticket Ubisoft Needs
I wonder if they will fix the physical edition of the game, or it will still be useless physical DRM key.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 565
@JamieO thank you! Gaming is simply awesome
I am near the end of Lament of Innocence and it feels good! I might tackle the classic-vanias next until my Dominus collection arrives

Re: Resident Evil 6 Appears Set for a PS5 Port
Waste of a port ... terrible RE game!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 564
@Hurblyburbly I took the time to take photos of my PS4 and PS5 collections. As you can see, they are humble next to my Switch collection.
PS4 - 86 cases
PS5 - 23 cases
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 564
@Hurblyburbly mmm ps4 is around only 50-60 games and ps5 is only 15 I think.
I have to count them too, later
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 564
This weekend I will focus on DUSK for the Switch. It is an amazing retro style fast paced shooter with some atmospheric levels
My second focus is Resident Evil 2 Remake in VR. I am in the sewers section and looking forward to making it to the lab ... I hope
And lastly, if time permits, some Blasphemous 2 on the PS5 and Castlevania The Dracula X Chronicles
Also, I am REALLY excited that my Switch physical collection will be playable on the Switch 2
Happy gaming everyone!!!

You need a new tag for such "news" for example "fiction" or "dreaming".

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 561
This weekend continuing with The Witcher 3. I have a long road ahead of me! Met a witch and on the trail of some elven mage.
I got Clock Tower Rewind so I will play some of that
And if time permits some Yu-Gi-Oh! Ultimate Masters Edition 2006 and Resident Evil 3 Nemesis!
Happy gaming and see you in the new year!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 560
@nomither6 I have to charge it on the photo it looks purple for some reason
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 560
@Ravix Thanks! I am still in the tutorial space so to say. Just about to kill the Griffin.
I know what you mean by getting used to as the menus and Geralds movement are clunky
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 560

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 559
This weekend I will continue my playthrough of The Minish Cap that I started so long ago
And I will start a fresh run of Kingdoms of Amalur.
I will get some quick nostalgia shots of Faxanadu.
And finally replay again Resident Evil 2. I do not know what is making me replay this game so much ... oh that's right it is so damn GOOD!!!
Happy gaming everyone!!!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 558
@RaZieLDaNtE Thank you! I have played the Remake on the PS4 now on the PS5
I doubt that there will be much difference but still an excuse to play a great game again
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 558
This weekend I will juggle between some games I don't have much progress in Ocarina of Time 3D and Castlevania 64.
And in the meantime, I will play Circle of the Moon and Resident Evil 4 Remake
Happy gaming everyone!!!
Re: Ubisoft FPS XDefiant Shutting Down, Not Accepting New Players
Ubisoft is just a training company. You get in, get some experience and then get the hell out of there.
Re: Talking Point: What Are Your PS1 Memories?
My very first PS1 memories were:
1. Bugs Bunny and Taz Time Busters
2. Diablo
3. Castlevania Symphony of the Night
Re: Best PS1 Games
Castlevania SotN is as close to perfection as any game could ever come
