"Minimum group size 4" that sucks, I'm actually going to Japan early next year and have a few days free, but I'm a solo traveller so that rules me out.
@Kraven I mean, you don't have to watch any of it, I watched the first direct back in June, haven't watched anything else since, I'm going in pretty blind
I waited a decade for a Japan centric AC bought it and it was just the same ol s**t with a different lick of paint. More random towers, more boring side quests. Sold it as soon as I was done with the story
Took my kid to see this on Saturday, he's only little but we taught him from a young age cinema etiquette so he's really good when we go.
Anyway had a bunch of teenagers sat behind us clapping every time a name was said and generally being idiots the whole way through.
To be honest, if I were a kid I'd probably do the same if I were with my mates but that crap was really annoying after a while, even my kid got fed up with it. I did tell them to knock it off and all but one of them did, until the end where they all clapped again, as a sign of defiance. I said they were a bunch of idiots to them and walked off, but I get it, got to keep up appearances when you're a kid.
In all honesty I got this ad perfectly and I get quite a bit of use out of mine, my kid watches YouTube as his downtime before bed on the TV and I either read a book or play on the Portal so I don't have to stare at the same crap he does but still be present enough to turn off whatever is not appropriate
Always been a fan of AC and being in my dream setting ill probably pick this up, but not day 1, valhalla dropped in price so quickly and I don't really fancy being burned again
@ThomasHL there are recipes you can make, one that you have access to by the third city, that one specifically heals 100mp to all party members, 200mp if you study the merchant archetype.
@SodaPop6548 it was my first Atlus game and I finished it last night, honestly, MP is a huge issue at the beginning of the game, there's way to mitigate, Google is your friend and don't let the calendar system intimidate you, you never feel rushed and there's plenty of time to do things in between story plot beats.
The first few hours is a massive learning curve but when you get into it, it's a great game, especially if you're a fan of old school JRPGs
My favourite PS1 memory, my school running a Tekken 3 tournament for charity and me coming second in it, destroyed by the guy who had imported it from Japan months earlier
@riceNpea came here to say this exact thing. Whose stupid idea was it to put demos behind a paywall, I've been on the fence about a few games and if I had the ability to try them out first it might have pushed me over into actually making a purchase. But I'm not going to go and drop £60+ on a maybe.
@themightyant Same, I have the original with a black fascia that'll draw a few more eyes on eBay as it's out of the usual which will hopefully translate to a bit more money and I got a few digital games I can play until the disk drive goes back in stock so I'm actually really considering it.
@themightyant Thanks for the information, Ive been on the fence anyway as who doesn't like a new shiny toy but knocking the price down to £560 seems like it might just push me to the other side, let's see how I feel after a few beers later.
I've played this game a few times so don't have the urge to revisit but this is a great little update to the ones who haven't played yet or do get that urge to jump back in
@Type_Trubbish correct, but when the basis of a game is just to fleece people by using predatory tactics, it's not something I need to introduce into my kids life.
We've stopped our son playing Roblox, not because of the predatory aspect to it, luckily we never came across any of that, but because there is no point to it, it's stupid games that don't teach him anything.
Atleast when he plays Pikmin or Astrobot there is a certain level of problem solving involved but Roblox offers nothing other than trying to separate kids and money by using countless, repetitive games to do it, christ even Fortnite promotes basic levels of teamwork.
I'm surprised this didn't happen sooner, I mean the game looked great, but overall it was way too easy and a large portion of it comprised of either fetch quests or long protracted boss battles that had no challenge,. I think i spent about 20 minutes on the one where you turn into Ifrit but the battle just consisted of just bashing one button repeatedly.
@TrickyDicky99 I'm one of them, I play the big exclusives and the freebies with my plus subscription, other than that I play way way too much Overwatch
@thefourfoldroot1 yeah, that's why I can't justify it, I game now and again but my son definitely is a bigger gamer than me and can't be bothered with the whole swapping back and forth, tried it when they first came out and was more of a hinderence
Only thing that's stopping me from buying one is not being able to use more than one account on it, me and my son have accounts on the PS5 but with the portal only one of us can use the thing without fully signing out each time, which means need to manually connect it to the PS5 every time. Makes it kind of useless.
