Actually just started Detroit a couple weeks ago and am loving everything about it. Would make for a great universe for a series. Great story, world feels super alive, great characters and VA, and as I get older I find myself actually enjoying the gameplay type of being more an interactive movie than twitchy action play. Definitely will try the other QD games.

Man I used to love this game on Dreamcast.

On a separate note I remember saving up as a kid and paying $79.99 for Final Fantasy III (6) for SNES around 1995 at Toys R Us. Games are certainly cheaper nowadays adjusted for inflation.

Good bit of market research you’ve stirred up, Push Square. Rockstar would probably love to access this discussion data. I’m guessing they’ll still be a $70 base but will probably have like 5 or more editions running up to $200 - $300 for some ultimate digital edition.

I wouldn’t be surprised if cloud gaming is the distant future, but for that to really take hold internet infrastructure needs many more years to build out. Not to mention ISPs will ultimately be the gatekeepers that get to decide whether or not providing sufficient service to a given region is profitable.

I’ve tried to play several of the newer ACs on PS5 but it seems like it won’t let me play unless I register for an Ubi account in game. That’s really the only problem I have with their games. I’m not making accounts for other companies to play a PS5 game I’ve already bought.

Never played this one but hard to imagine it is more impactful and compelling than Rebirth.

I really don’t understand the hate on the trailer. Can someone explain what’s driving so many people to hate this so passionately?

@get2sammyb True, but the title of the game gives me hope there’s exploration beyond just one planet. Hopefully at least some intergalactic travels.

Man I thought the trailer looked sick. I’m not even a ND fan but this game looks awesome. I grew up on Akira and Cowboy Bebop; this is right up my alley.

I can proudly say I’ve contributed to the Vita statistic. Although it’s getting less and less compatible with the modern web.

I’ve only played FVII Rebirth but it looks great while having super fluid motion.

Bought a Pro, have only tried FFVII Remake and Rebirth so far but can’t help feeling the difference so far is very negligible. I probably need to play more enhanced games to appreciate it but I don’t think you’re missing out on much so far if you haven’t got one.

As a Pro owner I appreciate these articles letting me know which games at launch are enhanced and how they’re enhanced. Perhaps if we were a year out from release it might seem superfluous but the console just launched. I can’t help but feel part of the complaints are from people who want to pretend it doesn’t exist because they didn’t / can’t purchase one.

@Splat Always, it’s called nesting. With any new piece of tech I always prepare and thoroughly clean its new home.

I was torn on this since its announcement but being able to play in performance + quality mode is like a dream. I’m day one’ing and selling the OG. Totally get this is an incremental improvement to most so respect for everyone sticking with OG. I wonder if the Pro Wi-Fi 7 will help Portal performance; might be an interesting bonus.

Idk, I can’t tell the difference on my cellphone screen. Still getting the Pro though.

Maybe if I was a young adult with no responsibilities, but then I probably wouldn’t have the money anyways. Too busy adulting with a lifetime worth of backlog to worry about getting early access to anything.

I’ll admit I was firmly in the “pass” camp until DF review. I went ahead and preordered just to reserve it for now. They don’t charge your card until it ships anyways. Still undecided and might cancel but the idea of combined performance + quality mode is growing on me.

Such an abject failure of vision and management. How was this allowed to carry on so long with no one recognizing the catastrophe brewing. Between this and Bungie it’s pretty clear Sony has lost its way. I hope they are able to turn the ship around.

The cost of this plus a disc drive and stand is more expensive than the gaming laptop I just purchased which is probably comparable in graphics. All just for marginal gains in a minority of PS5 games over my regular PS5. Really is insulting that they don’t even include a disc drive and stand.

Honestly couldn’t care less, which is shocking to see myself say. I feel like Sony is losing it to Nintendo and the rise of handheld consoles with Steam. I’ve been with Sony since the beginning and I can’t even describe how underwhelming they’ve been lately.

There was a time I would have been super excited about a PS5 Pro but Im finding it hard to care. My PS5 works fine, plus to be honest, I’m playing my ROG Ally and Switch 95% of the time anyways.

So then if PS4 was 300 pounds by roughly 2015, with CPI taken into account it means the PS5 today should be around 402 pounds if equivalent. So I guess at an average price of 460 pounds today PS5 is considerably more expensive.

As a kid, I played almost exclusively blind. But as an adult with extremely limited leisure time, I tend to follow a walkthrough for heavy RPGs so I can play as efficiently as possible and not miss out on major content or story arcs.

I just can’t get in to any of these Lego video games. Guess I’m not the target audience anyways. Never understood how aesthetics like Roblox and Lego spinoffs had such mass appeal.

I’m only a few hours in but thoroughly enjoying it. This is my first introduction to the Granblue series but I’m already hooked.

Only had a few hours to game this weekend but enjoyed what I could with Granblue Fantasy; lovely game so far.

Preordered the physical long ago; can’t wait for this one.

In between final exam and term project trying to get into Tales of Vesperia on Switch and Star Ocean Divine Force on PS5 Portal.

I have physical games that are 35 years old and run perfect. I’ll never understand the preference for digital, something with no intrinsic value. Physical game collecting is basically an investment that sometimes even appreciates in value. Your digital collection is worth bupkis.
