Re: Intergalactic PS5's Toxic Detractors Peddling Patently Fake 'Leaked' Story Details

@DennisReynolds it's not a handful of people. Right wing "chud"? I'm not even sure what that means.

I am not trying to convince you that most people think that the character design is bad, but I will leave you with this. You will pretend, but even you truly know yourself that if they made that character look like a typical female and not a masculine one, there would be little to know hate on the reveal of this game.

That is not a smart business move, which is what naughty dawg is. They are not here to pander to either political side. Their number one goal should be to maximize sales and I'm sure higher ups at SIEA at least notice this negative reaction from the fans.

@DennisReynolds unfortunately what you said is false. In fact here on this very site their were arguments pertaining to the face used for Peter Parker. Over 16,000 people shared their opinion in a push square poll

https://www.pushsquare.com/news/2020/09/poll_which_peter_parker_face_do_you_prefer_in_marvels_spider-man

As far as your last comment, that seems rather off topic and certainly assumes a lot.

Re: Intergalactic PS5's Toxic Detractors Peddling Patently Fake 'Leaked' Story Details

So many people think that half of the population hates the intro to this game because of a female lead. That is so silly. Ghost of Yotei had a very favorable reveal. The like/dislike ratio on that game is tremendously positive.

The lead in this game doesn't even look like the actor who is leading her role. Naughty Dawg has purposefully made this character look much less attractive than that actor. The hate this game is getting is because the lead female character looks like a man.

This decision is either terrible or genius. Part of me wonders if this argument/debate the community is having is actually a clever way for the game to be advertised. Maybe down the road, naughty dawg has a plan to entice the people put off the game with a unexpected reveal.

Re: PS5, PC Shooter Concord Appears to Be a $40 Game

Treestar

I was excited and willing to pay. They lost my money when they decided to give made up, fictional characters pronouns. All they had to do was write a short bio about each character if they want to make their gender known. Giving pronouns is obviously pushing an agenda that shouldn't be a part of a video game designed to entertain and escape the political BS in the real world.

Re: Unlock a Free 12 Months of PS Plus Premium with PlayStation's Visa Credit Card

Treestar

Credit cards are not awful like some are hinting at and can help you build credit when you are young. I've had this card for 8 years now and have earned over $2,000 in rewards. I've paid exactly $0.00 in interest. The perks used to be slightly better (10% back on PS Store instead of 5%), but it still has solid perks.

If you are a fan of playstation and sony products then this may be a solid credit card for you.

Re: PS5, PS4 Owners Are Understandably Irate with PS Plus Price Hike

Treestar

Game pass cost $43.89 more per year when compared to premium...that's over 27% more.

If you stop charging for online play, you will see a dramatic increase in cheating on the ps platform. For $80 you also get at least 36 games a year on ps5. That's less than $2.23 per game.

The value is still there, community is certainly overreacting.

Re: Sony Cuts PSVR2 Launch Sale Estimates by Half, New Report Claims

Treestar

This thing doesn't even need to have a larger launch than a million units. Compare it to their TV division, which sells between 1.5 and 2.5 million units per quarter and their target audience for those are billions of people.

Launching with a million units to a much smaller pool of buyers is huge.

This being said, I don't trust the article at all. The guy has a reputation of spitting out things that aren't true for clicks.

Re: Poll: Did You Buy a DualSense Edge?

Treestar

@grapetrap
You are spot on. I've owned a scuf for ps4 and two dualsense controllers with extremerate paddles on the back. I just received the dualsense edge today after pre-ordering.

The dualsense edge is an incredible product and the price is justified.

The scuf got slow turn in the right joy stick within one year.

The extremerate attachment has worked well, but I had to order a set of metal paddles since the plastic ones kept breaking. The only issue is it wasn't very comfortable to hold for long periods of time.

The edge has slimmer grips that are rounded at the bottom. This has made it so I don't have to strain my hand at all.

All in all, if you like FPS games, this is a product I would highly recommend.

Re: Hands On: PSVR2 Represents the Next Big Step for VR

Treestar

I feel it's important to compare the cost of PSVR2 vs PSVR when stating that it is expensive. PSVR2 basically cost 10% more when compared to PSVR at launch.

They way the article is written, it seems as if this thing is priced significantly higher than the OG and that the upgrades don't warrant the price point.
