Re: Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales Patch Deployed to Fix PS5 Crashes

Torreth1

I received about 3 or 4 crashes initially in the first two hours of gaming, but after that it never did again. Remastered acted quite funny though. About 10 to 15 times during extremely active gameplay the screen would flash and gameplay seemed to blink frames at around 1 frame every two seconds. At first I thought it was a feature, but then I noticed it happened when a lot was happening on screen. Miles never did it, neither did Astro, so I’m assuming it’s a software issue.

Re: Poll: What PS5 Information Do You Want Most?

Torreth1

Sony really needs to define the benefits of upgrading beyond 3D audio, and loading screens, because we already know that the graphical jump is an obvious no show this time around. We don’t even have actual launch game confirmation . This is already the most lackluster launch for both systems in history. I’d even prefer they waited another year if it meant we’d get worthy games, rather than expanded dlc. Three months to go, and the only confidence these companies can give us is that these systems will be released without compelling content.

Re: Talking Point: PS5 Could Be Delayed, And We May Have to Accept That

Torreth1

I dont think Im selfish for saying that I hope they dont delay the system at all. Im really looking forward to this system and I dont want to wait a second longer no matter what, and 'SO WHAT!!. That doesnt mean I want any lives risked for my "hobby", but people are forgetting about how serious the situation can get for the people who cant feed their families either. Not only are the faactory workers having to deal with a horrible disease, but their families stomachs arent going to take a corona virus vacation. They depend on these jobs too. And the situation in China is already showing signs of a slow down. Lets hope things continue to improve.

Re: This Time Next Year, We'll Be Playing PS5

Torreth1

I can’t wait!!! Yet, I’m tempering my excitement with the knowledge of diminishing returns. With all the information we’ve received about the new unit, the most important aspect of graphical fidelity improvement hasn’t even made a mention . I’m the kind of guy who will happily deal with loading screens if it means I’ll be blown away with mind numbing visuals. Please don’t reply with the “ faster storage will allow more complex computing and visual effects” argument. I would just rather have Sony focus on making sure we have a difference visually and more directly. I have a feeling we aren’t going to perceive much of a difference.

Re: StarBlood Arena Explodes onto PlayStation VR on 11th April

Torreth1

This Game looks "amazing", but the only thing holding it back is the fact that Sony hasnt invested in any games that make getting a PSVR compelling, and its not fair to indie developers that their audience is limited that way since Sony is only allowing underfunded indie developers to make their case in buying the new headset. Its also not fair that Sony is rewarding its headset owners like myself to have to settle for games we would have never bought outside of VR because they dont look worth our money or time.

Re: Resident Evil 7's VR Mode Will Be Exclusive to PlayStation VR for a Year

Torreth1

@hadlee73 What are you talking about? All VR devices are affected by the success of each other at this point. The medium is too new, and vulnerable to failure for battle lines to be drawn right now. If Developers are going to invest their money into games, they need to see there is the opportunity for making money, and that means cross platform versions are necessary to keep developers interested in creating content.

Re: Sony 'Pleasantly Surprised' by Strong PS4 Pro Pre-Orders

Torreth1

@Splat I pre-ordered mine from Bestbuy since they actually take all the money out of your account instantly on Sept 8th. However, the only true reason I got it is for the Psvr. I cant see spending $400 on something, only to know in the back of your head that it can look and perform better. I'll probably get a 4Ktv with HDR in November, because I cant see spending $400 on something, only to know in the back of your head that it can look better.
