Already getting the ascended edition, like what I see, like what I hear. This news doesn't affect me one bit. Can't wait for the game.

Honestly, backwards compatibility was never even something I cared about. I am not buying a ps5 to play ps1, 2, or 3 games.... still got my ps4. This is a non issue for me. I know some people care and I respect that. I still have my NES, SNES, SEGA SATURN, DREAMCAST, PS1, 2, AND 3. I put them under my glass bartop in my man cave. So i can drive in, hop off my harley, Crack a cold one, and plop on the couch and play.

It's been a week... I'm playing it on hard and taking my time enjoying every bit of it. Before grinding gamers ask for crumbs, they should just be thankful for the cookie they were given.

I'm not sure the individuals above have heard, but didn't SONY mention the PS5 will have an expansion slot in the back is for the "compatible" NVNe SSDs. I will be purchasing one to upgrade the memory for sure. If the system can do this I want to take advantage of every aspect it offers.

I do not care one bit about backwards compatibility, I usually keep my old platform. Plus sony already said that over 100 ps4 titles are already g2g on the ps5. 100 games is a lot, I buy the new gen platform for new gen games. As for competing with Microsoft, arent they already winning? Its already been established the tflop gaps really do not make that big of a difference...

Maybe an indie, there are lots of 2d "souls" like games....um a few others frostpunk, Diablo 3 DE, evil within 2, Assassin creed odyssey, monster hunter, mortal kombat 11, the surge 2...

It doesn't matter how much one cost over the other, I am buying a ps5. Not an Xbox... i am committed and I do t even know or care what it looks like... Sony doesn't even need to bolster the ps5 with marketing. It seems they are confident in their ability and product. Plus they have been gobbling up IPs for exclusives. Clearly studios have been silent working on next gen and then the state of things did not help but still, the counsel is going to be really good.

Looks awesome, I like new detailing. The PS button is no longer round, but what I like most is the two tone. I HOPE the PS5 follows this as well.

None of the wording bothers me as I have a ps4 pro, and a ps4, so I'll keep the pro and use in another room of the house. I just want to see it, and see the price so I can prepare. The exclusives and familiarity with prior systems already have me committed.

Okay so I have always had a subscription (even in my PS3 days), this year we got games like nioh, Detroit, For Honor, Wipeout, the last of us, Batman, Darksiders III.... and then give us a game that came out in 2016; Titanfall 2 🤦‍♂️. It WAS a good game 3 years ago, I still have the physical copy. I have been lifted up only to have been dropped from a higher elevation... Sadly with the hits that have been put out over the year, this month seems like a poor showing and it's disappointing, especially when amazing game bundles are being given out with black Friday deals. I can only hope for a positive reaction by SEI and something good for the community comes out of the comments.
