July 2026 PS Plus Premium

Sony will be revealing the lineup of PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium games for July 2026 this week, on Wednesday, but you don't need to wait for the official announcement to know the Classic title coming this month.

The platform holder actually already confirmed what July 2026 has to offer on PS Plus Premium in a previous State of Play livestream. You get PS2 classic Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy from 21st July 2026, which will also be up for purchase standalone on the PS Store if you don't have a PS Plus Premium membership.

A well-received PS2 game upon its original launch in 2004, the experience was based around using your psychic skills to dismantle a terrorist organisation on the hunt for a powerful artifact. You got to use telekenesis and mind control powers while staying hidden and using guns to defeat enemies.

Awarded an 8.5/10, here's what IGN had to say about it at the time:

With Psi-Ops, Midway has managed to create a well-rounded third-person shooter with an optional stealth component. It's a game that necessitates the use of its initially gimmicky psionic slant, but also provides gamers the option to approach situations with a little more finesse than its mundane competitors would. Unfortunately, boasting the most well-developed psychic brain in action (a brain that's even better than those of the super-powered Jedi in games of a similar nature) doesn't imply perfection within the genre. Psi-Ops still suffers from baffling design decisions and is an ultimately short-lived experience. But in this case, the benefits of a lethal cerebellum far outweigh the negatives of being a brightly burning flame that's perhaps a bit too ambitious.

Of course, we'll get the complete lineup of PS Plus Extra games for the month to go along Psi-Ops. As Sony has been very consistent in only offering one PS Plus Premium title per month, it is unlikely subscribers will get anything other than the PS2 classic next week.
