@AngryChainsaw I mean, it would be nice, but they don't have to do anything, realistically.
Whether it's an anniversary or not is kinda irrelevant, it's not like we all get to see whatever film for free when they release X Anniversary Edition.
There's a really weird sense of entitlement from the gaming community sometimes.
@Cloud39472 The Dead Space Remake isn't a 1:1 remake though; cut content was reintroduced to the game, some sections are entirely different and you can now move freely back and forth throughout the ship. Basically exactly what you'd want from a remake without changing the game entirely.
Completely agree with your point on Demon's Souls though, missed the perfect opportunity to add the 6th Archstone to the game
@Matroska I mean you've got a point, but at the same time pretty much anyone who's seriously into Destiny 2 will already own TWQ, and will have done so for the best part of 2 years. For the the vast majority of D2's player base TWQ is old news at this point; not only is it not the most recent DLC, but there's a brand new expansion coming very soon, so tbf I'd actually say 2% of this websites users having it as their most anticipated title is better than I'd have expected
@pirlega Neither Ghost of Tsushima (the Legends mode by itself doesn't really count, let's be honest) nor Horizon: Forbidden West have been monthly titles for PS+.
We have had titles like the BioShock collection (which for the purposes of monthly games counted as 1 game despite being 3 full titles plus DLC), so I do get your point, but this is hardly a bad month; I know quite a few people who've been waiting for Sifu
@themightyant Your 'review' is kinda confusing tbh; how can a story be amazing and too long at the same time? Surely it being too long would negatively impact how amazing it is, or conversely, how amazing it is would nullify the extreme length?
Don't get me wrong, if you didn't enjoy it, you didn't enjoy it, and that's fair enough, I'm not here to tell you what your opinion should be, just feels like two of your points almost completely contradict each other
Did anyone seriously believe CoD was going mono-platform anyway? No matter if you're a fan of the series or not, that ***** sells like hotcakes, the backlash they'd receive would be incredible
@Northern_munkey it's an expression, you don't need to take it personally, and nothing you say here is going to retroactively change my experience with MW. Again, I'm sorry you had a bad time for a couple of weeks, but I didn't.
@Northern_munkey Sucks to be you I guess? I didn't have any issues with MW(2019) until Warzone came out. If that's not the experience you had, I feel for you bud, but that's not what happened to me.
@Would_you_kindly Modern Warfare wasn't a broken mess when it came out though, that's only really happened since Warzone, Black Ops Cold War and Vanguard dropped
Anyone else find it kinda odd that Days Gone is in the PS+ Collection for PS5, which is apparently a 'carefully curated collection', when Sony don't seem to have ever had much faith in it?
Can anyone say how Village compares to Resi 1, 2, Nemesis or Code: Veronica? I know the gameplay is totally different, but in terms of Story, Pacing, Character Development etc. is anyone able to give a comparison? (When someone says 'this is the best RE since 4' I'm never too sure how to take it, given that personally I'm really not a fan of that game).
@GeneJacket Tbh I was hoping for a little more back and forth; maybe see if I could get Burial at Sea from another perspective. Perhaps get a decent reason for Suchong, always toted as being an absolute genius in the first two games, being revealed as nothing more than a dude copying someone else's work could actually improve the plot in any way.
Nevermind.
@GeneJacket Firstly, you're on a public forum, idgaf if you're interested in my opinion or not, but you're gonna hear it.
Secondly, as a counter to your counter: Burial at Sea is a non-sensical mess that cheapens the lore of both the original game and Infinite itself. Part One is so linear it hurts, and Part Two is just desperately trying to rip off Dishonored.
@The_New_Butler I guess that's an unfortunate, and inevitable part of big open world games, the padding. It's like a studio's trying to justify having the entirety of the game world, which normally ends up with a ***** tonne of collectibles and the like.
Kinda hoping we actually get to play as Venom for part of this game, that would shake things up a bit!
@The_New_Butler You didn't mention anything about the price my man, but for what it's worth I personally think £70 is too much for a game, period. I wouldn't judge the length of Spider-Man based on Ratchet & Clank if I were you, I know they're both by Insomniac, but I don't think any Ratchet game's been particularly long
@JustPlainLoco There's absolutely no way Kraven gets the symbiote dude, for one thing we've already seen Harry floating in a tank of black goop in the first game. Also, you don't issue challenges then accept them yourself, that makes zero sense.
@anoyonmus He's an anti-hero now in the comics, sure, but that's not how they're gonna introduce one of Spidey's most famous villains to a new universe
@The_New_Butler I wouldn't worry about the length of Spidey 2 dude, Miles Morales was always going to be short; it's technically a stand-alone DLC for the first game, not a full on sequel
It's such a strange decision to me when a 'collection' gets announced that doesn't include all the titles currently in a series, and more than that, doesn't even include the first entry.
I don't understand why Sony do this, they did the same thing with God of War on the PS4; remastered 3 but didn't touch 1 or 2.
I may be in the minority, but if I'm gonna play a reputedly amazing game, I'd like to actually start at the beginning.
I loved this game when I was younger, the story was great and the characters were awesome. Honestly though, I kinda hope we get real-time combat this time around; I tried playing the original not too long ago, and the fights really drag on, especially during the 'bigger' sequences (Sith bases etc.).
"I’m well aware I’ve been beating this drum a few too many times of late" ... then continues to beat said drum. It's really boring now dude, if I wanted Xbox news I'd go to an Xbox site
@Agramonte ah in that case I'm not sure about story progress, I don't play on PC, but it has cross-save enabled now, so theoretically you shouldn't lose progress, but I'm not an expert on that subject. It's going crossplay sometime in Autumn though apparently, so when it does I'll happily jump on some with you if you fancy it at the time 👍
@Ridgerunner completely agree, the entitlement of some people is staggering.
Just coz some Devs have offered free upgrades doesn't mean it should be automatically expected; a crazy amount of people seem to think it didn't cost anything to make the upgrade(s) in the first place
Tbh I'm far happier with this month than June, and actually pretty pleased with BLOPS4, never bought it coz of the whole replacing the campaign with battle royal mode (how was that ever considered a decent trade off?), but I'll happily add it to my library just for the Zombies mode
@theMEGAniggle kinda both really tbh; the clickbait is truly infuriating, but as you say bringing up topics that have already been dragged out for ages is just boring, and more than a little difficult to take seriously
@theMEGAniggle yep, just another trash article by Sammy. Not surprised really, most of Sammy's articles have been nothing but clickbait for a while now.
Guess it works though, we're all here talking about it
@ATaco I fail to see what part of my initial comment could be construed as insulting, so please quote what you found offensive.
Of course it cost the Devs to do the upgrade, I know you're aware of this, more work put in equals more man hours spent on the project. They still need to be paid for their work.
I mean it's not like you do all your work for free, right?
Also, the only game called Manhunt I can find any info on is the PS2 game (made by Rockstar, not a small company) which has no PS5 port, so not sure what you're talking about with that.
As I keep saying, when dev teams DO decide to do an upgrade for free, it's awesome, but this SHOULD NOT just be expected, even if a load of other games have had one.
That was my initial point about gratitude; obviously I don't think we should all be grovelling in the dirt, but rather be happy when we do get a free upgrade, and to stop throwing toys out the pram when it hasn't gone the way you want.
I'm not upset about anything bud; I don't know you and you're words don't have any particular effect on my mood.
However, if you don't think calling someone a mindless drone (which came before me calling you a child or ignorant, practice what you preach) is insulting, or is somehow a 'respectful' way to have a discussion, here's your wake up call.
@ATaco I never bought Ghosts on PS4, nor am I definitely gonna buy it for PS5. The fact I actually understand how businesses (and the world in general, really) works doesn't make me a mindless drone, I'm just not an ignorant child.
You can willfully ignore the point I'm making if you wish, but all that does is show your own obtuseness and facetiousness.
And your aggressiveness doesn't do anything to help your point, just kinda makes you look like a dick
@ATaco I'm well aware of the point you're trying to make, but like it or not I don't agree with you, just like you're perfectly at liberty to disagree with me.
However my point was that as awesome as it is to get a free PS5 upgrade for any game, it shows a pretty high level of entitlement when you just expect it. It wasn't free for the Dev team to upgrade, so really there's no reason to think any upgrade would be automatically free.
Honestly I think the real problem is people acting like they're owed something to begin with. @Yaycandy I kind of agree with you about GTAV, but at the same time I find it hard to believe that anyone actually needs this for a 3rd time; I know I don't speak for everyone, but as much as I enjoyed it, I got for the 360 and the PS4, I'm more than happy to wait for GTA6
