Bungie will unveil the next big expansion heading to Destiny 2 on 24th August 2021, titled The Witch Queen. This will take the form of a Destiny 2 showcase, presumably via a livestream hosted on the usual platforms. The DLC in question is currently slated to arrive at some point next year and sports the tagline: "Survive the Truth".
And that's all there really is to share about this new Destiny 2 update. We're sure hardcore players are hyped for the digital showcase, but for those looking from the outside in, Bungie's looter shooter would have to do a lot to convince us to give it another shot. Regardless, we'll be sure to cover whatever it is the developer has to show in a couple of weeks time.

Dang I can’t believe they’re still putting out DLC for this. I would have thought many people would have moved on.
I still not avanged Cayde-6. No idea where they are at at this point.

@ReddJelly nope. I got distracted after beating like 3 of the henchmen I think. I’ve played the events. But never got back to the story.
I think I also lost all that because I never finished it before the move over.

@Stragen8 if you haven't played since launch you've got 3 full DLC's, and all the seasonal content is generally pretty damn good 👍
@ReddJelly I’m on PC. I did not make that clear.
In Dec we had to leave BattleNet and migrate to Steam. Never reinstalled it, but on Steam there were comments that people lost their story progress if midway.
Did this ever go cross play with consoles? I not played in a while but I can put up a shield or 2 😂 I know my power level was higher than needed because I was still grinding to get the weapons from the forge in Mars (or whatever had the infinite forest)
@Agramonte ah in that case I'm not sure about story progress, I don't play on PC, but it has cross-save enabled now, so theoretically you shouldn't lose progress, but I'm not an expert on that subject. It's going crossplay sometime in Autumn though apparently, so when it does I'll happily jump on some with you if you fancy it at the time 👍

Going to download it when I get home tonight and see what loads up. I think I also own the one after Forsaken.
@Agramonte I migrated over from B.Net to Steam and you don't lose any progress like weapons armour and items etc, but what they did do was set everyone to 750 light at the time and if you where in some sort of story or certain point in a series of missions. Your progress was reset and they made it stupid to find were to start if you wanted to restart for lore etx,
I stopped playing for a while a month after the move came back about 5 months later, and I've no idea what to do Destiny is a game if you don't keep playing regular you can lose track. But all my friends have moved on so I couldn't join up and get help etc
