Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Brings Venom to PS5 in 2023

I was hoping for a release window but I was also hoping it would be 2022 and not 2023 lol

Insomniac are on fire these days, definitely one of the best developers out there right now. If they keep up the quality like they have been doing, there's no reason to think this or Wolverine will be anything less than great.

2023 is only 15 months away....

I'm still doubting if the first voice was Morlun or Kraven...Cant decide which one i rather prefer.

green goblin, lizard(kurt in spiderman :mm ending teaser) and kraven/morlun

Seeing Peter and Miles fighting together was great.
But hearing Venom´s voice..... Chills. Literal Chills I say.
2023 is kinda late, but Insomniac, take your time and deliver another Amazing and Spectacular Spiderman game.
Also, I do believe it was Kraven speaking and challenging them.
And of course, Venom accepts.

Kraven becoming Venom makes so much sense, plus I remember shortly after the release of Spider-Man, they did an interview where they said they REALLY wanted Kraven in the first game, but didn't want to include him unless they could do the character justice. Kraven becoming Venom makes perfect sense, Kraven is relentless when it comes to hunting his prey, toss some symbiote on the man, and Kraven becomes the apex predator of the New York food chain.

@Deadhunter - What's the issue? the first game was announced 2 years before it released, gives them all of 2022 to promote the game leading up to it's release to 2023, most likely early 2023 at that.

@Randzilla - But the voice-over sounded Russian, Kraven is Russian, maybe Harry Osborn becoming Venom is nothing more than a misdirect, after all I think Peter & Miles will inevitably find and rescue Harry, and the symbiote clings to Peter, shenanigans ensue and the symbiote inevitably fuses with Kraven. I mean Kraven is already a pretty big threat on his own, but Kraven fused with the symbiote?... Spidey bout to go from predator to prey real quick.

@The_New_Butler MM wasn't a full game, it was smaller spin off. SM2 will be more in the way of the first game no doubt.

Would be kinda epic if they dropped in Ghost-Spider and let you play 4 player.

@Agramonte i rather just play as spiderman only , but atleast miles morales wont be shoe-horned in with boring stealth missions anymore .

But enyone that has been playing the games have a clear understanding on how we got here. Both characters have been fleshed out.

It is what the movies finally also got right.

I’ll be a college graduate before this one’s out, so stoked though! If they’re hinting at some sort of co-op here then it’s already top contender for 2023 GOTY

@The_New_Butler I wouldn't worry about the length of Spidey 2 dude, Miles Morales was always going to be short; it's technically a stand-alone DLC for the first game, not a full on sequel

@anoyonmus He's an anti-hero now in the comics, sure, but that's not how they're gonna introduce one of Spidey's most famous villains to a new universe

@JustPlainLoco There's absolutely no way Kraven gets the symbiote dude, for one thing we've already seen Harry floating in a tank of black goop in the first game.
Also, you don't issue challenges then accept them yourself, that makes zero sense.

@The_New_Butler You didn't mention anything about the price my man, but for what it's worth I personally think £70 is too much for a game, period.
I wouldn't judge the length of Spider-Man based on Ratchet & Clank if I were you, I know they're both by Insomniac, but I don't think any Ratchet game's been particularly long

@The_New_Butler I guess that's an unfortunate, and inevitable part of big open world games, the padding.
It's like a studio's trying to justify having the entirety of the game world, which normally ends up with a ***** tonne of collectibles and the like.

Kinda hoping we actually get to play as Venom for part of this game, that would shake things up a bit!

@WallyWest I reckon they might tease Goblin some more in this one, then have him as the Spider-Man 3 big bad

Insomniac has been on fire for a good while now. Between this, Wolverine and Ratchet and Clank, I’d say the flames be stoking for a long time.
