I wish this genre did anything for me. I should probably invest a little more time in Rivals and see if it clicks. It’s super successful and the reviews are good.

Uncharted: Lost Legacy and Split Fiction

Both lots of fun so far

BG3 finally sold me on turn based combat, so I'll keep an eye on this one

Veilguard a little bit, but I think I'm about to bounce off that

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. Great start to this one. Naughty Dog are great

AC: Odyssey has been my favourite AC so far, so perhaps this one will be good to try out. I'll play as the stealth chick though. Not keen to tank AC.

Click grifters are cringe hounds who add nothing to the conversation. I wish they would piss off

Hopefully the game is ok. I actually really enjoyed Outlaws so I have some hope for this one

Just played through the character creator in DA:V and I’m excited to begin. Damn you having a job!

Just watched the Skill Up preview from a month ago and so I’m not super excited

Just finished SW:Outlaws so perhaps I’m Ubi-outed for now

Skillup's review was interesting. He loved the combat but thought the story/main quest was a bit rubbish. The whole RPG aspect sounds a bit weak TBH, which is weird, because Obsidian are typically very strong on this front

Nice one on DA: V. It was wish listed, so this is way better.

Loved GoT. I felt like a sword fighting bad ass by the end. Loved Jin’s story

Grindy? A little but I completed almost all of it which is very rare for me. Hopefully a more refined but similar type of thing for GoY

I'm hour 40 into Outlaws and loving it. Somehow I'm not feeling too Ubisofted by this game. The writing, quest design and combat engine are really fun. Tons of mini-games which I'm enjoying as well. I'm trying to full-stealth and it is great. Great stuff

More choice is better. Completely on rails can be good (tLoU etc) but more RPG is almost always a good thing

Bummer. It would have been cool to try out. I like my PSVR2, but it is very specific in uses, so this would have been cool. TBH I use mine primarily as a 2nd screen while my wife is watching TV

with Nintendo as an onlooking neutral power

RPGs with exciting real time combat engines will keep me going. I bounce off the turn based combat encounter based games.

BG3 is an outlier. I completed that in about 100 hours

My Zelda obsessed wife could be interested. She is itching for something like BotW/TotK

The implication is that what happened to her and her father lead her down this path of vengeance and needing skills and strength to achieve it. It’s a narrative hook.

@StonyKL totally. It’s a “chicks need to stay in their lane” thing. It tired and boring.

Abby’s a great character in the game. Her strength is a detail but not important. Her thirst for vengeance is the real story

The Arstechnica review was good. Interesting changes to the age-structure. Diplomacy has been improved a lot.

A bit of release jank but not too bad.

I'll probably PC this one though. Civ on consoles is a hassle

I'm really surprised by the common belief that GTA6 will be the beat thing ever. We've all been burnt by this kind of hyping before.

That being said, it is better to be optimistic than a contrarian.

I've always loved all the different versions of Civ. I'll probably wait for a sale, but I imagine I'll partake

I've found Hollow Knight too hard for my tastes. I know I should git gud etc, but I prefer gaming fun to endless frustration

Just finished TLOU2 for the first time and loved it. I'm feeling sad about finishing a great game.

Now playing Dave the Diver and Disco Elysium to change things up

I'm a complete PS convert. I don't miss the PC arms race, and I prefer my couch and TV setup. I have a reasonable gaming laptop, just in case, but I'm not using it that much TBH

Just playing through TLOU2 - Remastered for the first time right now and I'm really loving it. They have taken real narrative risks which I'm enjoying. The gameplay is just complex enough to keep it tight and interesting.

I assume they will use the same kind of gameplay loop in a new universe. I'm cool with that. Just so long they don't go the way of Assassin's Creed and lose their way like that franchise has

More character creation and cast flexibility in a game is almost always a good thing.

My wife has almost fully completed this thing. She doesn't play much, so this is high praise

Synth Riders, GT7 on my new VR2 and Prince of Persia on flat. Loving all of these games at the moment!

I just bought and played Synth Riders for the first time. Loads of fun. No Barbie just yet, but who knows
