I have a PS5pro bought after launch.
I paid for it a bit less than the suggested retail price on Amazon.
I live in Italy.

I'm satisfied by the console however I think the price is a bit too high, in my opinion.
I know, considering the recent trend, it is only going to rise, still it is not optimal.

I buy digital games since the end of the Xbox360 era when this option was made available, so I don't mind the lack of optical disk, although I'm aware this decision really hurts some players.

I didn't not expect a more powerful console of what it is, just a little cheaper.

I really appreciate the 2TB SSD.

please keep in mind it is more noisy than the Xbox Series X as the base PS5 model already is.

if videogaming is your primary or only hobby, and you have te resources, I suggest to invest on the PS5pro because at the moment it is the most powerful console on the market, plus MS is bringing its entire catalogue on Sony hardware.

if you are a PC gamer than is another thing.

for my gaming PC habits, I do prefer Steam as a platform, so I'm waiting and see what happens.

I have a Game Pass Ultimate that I don't use much, I only try some game from time to time.
I still love to buy digital games and re-dowload them when needed.
Anyway the subscription model could save you some money if you try a game and discover it is not for your taste.

On my PS5 I have a PS Plus Essential.
