@Futureshark I was told by comments here that these kinds of games and the people who buy them don't really count because they are casual players who only buy a few games a year.
To all those whining about "no gameplay", they just had like a TEN MINUTE gameplay demonstration at their last State of Play. That's what the game will look like and play like. Are you worried it's going to ship as a kart racing or hockey game now?
@Boxmonkey uh the box office is on pace to have its best year since COVID, and The Odyssey is going to be massive. Maybe go to better movies or to the theater at times in which other people do?
@nomither6 been subscribed for years. Beat the new Resident Evil, Pragmata, Adventures of Elliot, 007 just within the last couple months and paid a fraction of what it would cost to own (ie beat and then never play again).
That's fine. I'm getting it from Gamefly, beating it and returning it. I'll get the exact same experience as those who own it, at a fraction of the price, and with no plastic ***** taking up space in my house.
@NoPhysicalNoBuy123 @NoPhysicalNoBuy123 so anti-consumer that consumers overwhelmingly speak with their money that it's their preferred way of buying games.
Bru, not everyone cares about accumulating plastic discs and boxes to take up space in the background of their YouTube channel nobody watches. Video game collections are not impressing anyone.
@WolfyTn physical media matters to a small fraction of the gaming public. Businesses listen to their biggest, best customers, not a niche group of enthusiasts who want giant anime titty statuettes with every $200 "collectors" edition.
@WhatTheFrog nobody plays any of these games online and anyone who buys a digital game knows what they are getting at this point. Clutch pearls harder.
@Eld I don't care about owning games. I got into this hobby to play them, not own them. I buy maybe 2 full priced AAA games a year, everything else I either rent from Gamefly, check out from the local library, or purchase at a deep discount. I'll pay full price for indies or games from developers I like, but otherwise no.
Gamers (especially the ones who post on sites like these) are so myopic and hysterical, ready to GIVE UP GAMING FOR GOOD. No you won't. Get real. You're Mad Online, and by September when Wolverine, Onimusha, Silent Hill and Control are all out, most of your will buy them all...and digitally.
@Fatewalker yeah, really need to see if checks notes the most consistently great gaming franchise of the last 25 years is worth it before spending MY money.
The way some people wrap themselves into pretzels, trying to find any excuse to NOT play games...
Don't care, they give you access to optional clothing and car mods. Completely useless stuff. Must be sad to spend your time searching high and low for stuff to be Mad Online about.
That's fine. Who cares about the skyrocketing cost of everything combined with the loss of jobs and decimation of the planet? AI can plan a workout for me!
How can you play games like Resident Evil 9, Pragmata, and 007 on even a base PS5 and think "hmm, this isn't good enough anymore, this console is showing its age."
There is no reason to want a PS6, and no reason for Sony to make them, until AT LEAST the end of 2028, if not later.
@LikelySatan forgive me for living in modern times. Perhaps if you cannot deal with the realities of our current world, you would be better served heading over to Time Extension. I hear some more mediocre SNES games just got a new physical re-release, no internet required!*

Because you keep buying remakes

@DarianStarfrog sorry, I am not terminally online, what is this supposed to mean? What made up thing have you created to be mad about this game?

Cool. 90+ percent of copies of that game will be sold digitally
But enjoy your thing to look at on a shelf
Re: Practically Every Comment on PlayStation's YouTube Is Now About Physical Discs
They don't care about YouTube comments. They care about revenue.
Start buying your PS5 games on discs. But most of you won't.
Re: These 10+ PS5, PS4 Games Will Be Delisted or Disabled in July and August 2026
@Pat_trick imagine defending Madden 23 this much.
Owning plastic ***** is overrated. Especially old, obsolete plastic ***** nobody else wants to play with you anymore.
Re: These 10+ PS5, PS4 Games Will Be Delisted or Disabled in July and August 2026
@Pat_trick I am aware, as should anyone who has purchased a game with online functionality within the last 24 years.

@ThomasHL in the long run? The Steam Machine already can't play current games at 4K 60 fps, you think that's going to get better?

"Protest" by purchasing a physical copy of Wolverine and cancel your digital one.
Put your money where your mouth is and ACTUALLY support physical games.
Re: Reaction: PlayStation's Reputation Is at Rock Bottom - Where Do We Go from Here?
@S1ayeR74 Mario 3D All Stars.
If you think Nintendo is going to be your pro-consumer bastion of physical game safety...well good luck with that.
Re: Reaction: PlayStation's Reputation Is at Rock Bottom - Where Do We Go from Here?
@Ooccoo_Jr Switch 2 has game key cards and Nintendo is notorious for releasing games and then completely taking them off the market.
But continue your noble stand!

@Northern_munkey the bubble you live in is not real life.
Re: GTA 6 Not Expected to Run at 60fps on Any PS5 Console
I've been playing games for 35 years and couldn't tell you what the FPS average was in literally any of the thousands of games I've played.
This is a fanboy talking point and nothing actual consumers care about.

What is with these made up scare stories about the price of the game? It will be 70 dollars just like every other AAA big release.
Re: How About a New PS5 SSD Upgrade? That'll Be $3,000
There is zero reason to need a hard drive that big. You can only play one game at a time.
Digital hoarders are almost as bad as collectors. Almost. At least digital hoarders actually play the games .

The same players who cry about mandatory online checks love how their games are constantly updated via online updates to make them better.
