Wouldn't surprise me, honestly. Ubisoft, like many others, has lost their ''shine'' so to speak. If they want to poop out a dozen more Assassins Creed games, they can go right ahead.

I lost faith in this company a long time ago and I'm not supporting them anymore; however, I still really enjoy playing older titles though - Gravity Rush and Tearaway are still alot of fun.

Yeah, there's something SERIOUSLY wrong with publishers these days. Hogwarts Legacy is suffering from the same idiocy.. It was hugely succesfull BECAUSE it's a singleplayer game - what does Warner Bros Games want to do? Turn a potential sequel into a live service game..

Not at all. I literally don't care for any of these third party titles except for Hogwarts Legacy. Oh well, I moved on from modern Sony anyway so it's not a big deal for me anyway. Every company dies out at some point, and Sony died for me when they closed down Japan Studios.

Please don't. There's (far) too many of these in today's world already. Level-5 games are so good BECAUSE they aren't violent or erotic. If they actually go that way, there truly is no more hope for modern games/gaming.

I would happily play Forza or Banjo Kazooie on Playstation! If there's ONE thing Playstation does do better than Microsoft, it's accounts. On the PS5, you can create a new profile for new trophies no problem (Or even a guest account for one session only).. No such thing on the Xbox. You have to jump through ALOT of loops to even make a new account :/

I'm guessing Forza coming to Playstation is never going to happen, but still. Dreaming is free haha.

@UltimateOtaku91 Yeah, this seems to be a trend nowadays unfortunately. Sony used to have smaller games in between their ''heavy hitters'' as well, but that's also a thing of the past unfortunately. Oh well, I'm still enjoying Sony's past titles while avoiding these heavy hitters all the same anyway. I don't need fancy graphics or 100+ hours gameplay to enjoy a game.

I reaaally want to watch this. But I also don't want to add ANOTHER subscription list to my all ready way too long list (Disney, Netflix, Gamepass, NSO etc)

@thefourfoldroot1 Very true. Sony sold their soul to the devil awhile ago and it definitely shows. Damn shame, too. They used to be such a fun company with all kinds of games and a huge variety in genres.. Sadly, that's no longer the case these days.

Nope. I like action JRPG's, but this one just doesn't look interesting at all.

Nope - it may sound silly, but with the current climate here in Europe it just feels wrong to play this one.. Especially since it MIGHT actually happen in real life if things go extremely sour.

I'm happy just playing Ratchet and Clank for now.

Sounds pretty cool. Really not my cup of tea, though, so i'm giving this one a hard pass.

Looks really nice, but I highly doubt I'd be able to get into this one. As I grow older I notice that I don't have to patience anymore to learn new stuff or mechanics in games. I do hope this game sells well on PS5 though.

And dare I say that Dave himself is quite a looker too. It's refreshing to see a plus sized hero for once instead of a muscled dude/gal

Yeah, it's probably just a ''me'' thing. Looking at your list, I suppose it's not a weak year at all haha. I'm losing faith in Sony - alot - as the franchises that I grew up with are left to rot while newer ones keep popping up. I can't keep up and that's probably why I think it was a weak year so far when that's not the case at all. Playstation is just not my preferred gaming platform anymore, that's all

I only played Persona 3 Reload out of everything on that list and I didn't like it at all.. Was planning on buying FF7Rebirth after playing through Remake, but alas. That's not going to happen anymore.

Weak start of 2024 for me - for the Playstation anyway.

This developer proves again and again that they actually have some decency and respect for the player (unlike most developers these days). I will most definitely be playing this... at some point. My backlog is just too big haha. But Shift Up is definitely a developer I'll be keeping my eye on from now on (in a good way of course!)

That speaks rather well of him; I might have to pick this game up one day because it looks fun - but there's too many JRPG's coming out this year already (YS X, Trails Through Daybreak etc) so this will go on the backburner haha.

Good. The more Live Service Games that die out the better.
Perhaps Sony will then finally get it through their thick skull that people don't want them. At all.

Singleplayer has always been Sony's strongest suit (Last of Us, Spider Man, God of War.. hell, even R&C Rift Apart's story was great). Not this live service crap.

None, unfortunately. I'm none too pleased with Sony right now, so I won't be getting any new games from them - not until they make another Ratchet&Clank, Uncharted or Infamous games.. Or, you know, anything that ISN'T a generic open world experience of cinematic JRPG.

That said, I do plan on getting Trails Through Daybreak and YS X later this year for the system

Not one of these games are for me, unfortunately. I kind of liked Persona 3's gameplay but I strongly disliked the story and its characters, so I didn't even finish that one

I got unfortunately spoiled on a big event for FF7R, so I'm going to put that off until I forget about it... if ever. So instead, I started YS VIII Lacrimosa of Dana again. Still a fantastic JRPG and pretty much perfect aside from a slow start. Otherwise, i'm also still playing Mass Effect Legendary Edition. I literally cannot stop playing this lmao!

Yeah, this list is definitely not to be taken seriously. Remember; the people in the UK still prefer to play trash like Call of Duty and Fifa above God of War and Spider Man.. so, yeah. Take that as you will lmfao

Really wonder how long it'll take before these knuckleheads finally get it through their thick skulls that people play Live Service that were either optional (in the case of GTA Online) or actually brand new and not tied to an already existing franchise (like Fortnite)

Maybe I'm sounding a bit hot headed here, but I'm personally extremely offended by companies that turn a beloved single player mascot like Crash bandicoot into a live service type of game.. Nobody will remember Crash Team Rumble in ten years time, nobody. Meanwhile, Crash 4 It's About Time will still be talked about years from now (if mostly because of how difficult it is, but still!)

Yeah, I see what you mean. Personally, I'd love to see them make another Infamous game, or Gravity Rush/Knack.. something that ISN'T open world or JRPG.

Though I will have to admit that I'm currently playing FF7R and that one is really good.. though one of the major events in the game did get spoiled for me :/

@Specky I sincerely agree with that statement 100%. Weird is, though, that Nintendo games still have that spark that they did 20-30 years ago (Kirby Forgotten Land, Super Mario Wonder.. even Zelda Tears of the Kingdom).. Sony and Microsoft games have lost that spark completely. It's all generic open world/action games nowadays and it makes me sad to be honest.

I started FF7Remake this weekend, so I'll be playing that. My first FF game too; really enjoying it so far!
