This is the only MGS game I’ve not played, because it’s so difficult to play without a PS3. I don’t care whether it is a port or full remake but please bring it back to life!!!
I like this way of thinking! I suppose it’s similar to what’s happening with phones - the last three or four iPhones have been super similar and don’t really seem worth the money to upgrade, but the difference between the FIRST four iPhones was huge!
Now I suppose the major improvements will come with things like physics, AI integration in some form and depth of worlds, rather than just graphics!
Played a good 5-6 hrs of first game but then got into a fight where I was bleeding and too hungry (I think). I love RPGs (Witcher series, elder scrolls, red dead etc.) but never finished the first KC.
Really wish there was an option to make it easier - I’m too old and work too hard at my job to come home and enjoy a game that feels like more work!
‘75% of all game sales in the UK last month, 1.74 million, were digital, up 10% year-over-year since last August.’
Definitely being misleading with the stats they are reporting here as probably a huge amount of these are from heavily discounted sales.
For example, I bought G of W Ragnarok for £60 physical, but then I bought 4 games digitally in PS Store sales, at around £30 total.
So yes, proportionally 80% of my purchases were digital, but I actually spent more on the one physical purchase.
So yeah, it’s likely that there are wayyyyyyy more digital sales in total (75% to 25% physical apparently) but I’m willing to bet the 25% physical sales earnt the developers more money proportionally.
PushSquare, stop manipulating figures to freak people out and publish proper stats.
How much was earnt in the last month via the 25% physical sales vs 75% digital?
And how many of those digital sales were £3 indie games?
This is totally irrelevant without being adjusted for inflation…
Yeah it earned more, but everything now costs more. Should be adjusted according to the year and then compared!
For example the film ‘Gone with the Wind’ from 1939 has the highest film profit when adjusting for inflation whereas Avatar has the highest actual profit.
@Atreus97 @Atreus97 was just thinking the same thing! Played so many games and wanted to love them recently but nothing quite hit or stuck properly.
To be fair though, deathloop caught me up properly for a few weeks, cyberpunk was a stunning game (took some time to get going though) and I’ve just started death stranding, which has already got me hooked. Sometimes it’s best to go back to a few games a few years out that have been well rated….
Two main thoughts would be, why keep pushing the live service games when only a couple of them have really properly taken off? It seems such a high risk, high reward strategy?!
Secondly, why not invest some more money into focus groups and genuinely researching what consumers want? It surely can’t be that hard! Did anyone REALLY ask for a Gollum game? Do people REALLY want a suicide squad game considering the last couple of attempts at films were flops?
Ask the people what they want, and then they will buy…

Comparing apples and pears!
Re: Poll: What Did You Think of Sony's State of Play for May 2024?
@JaBrony123 agreed - 2 or 3 of the games were just remasters/rereleases to fill time?!
