Update []:
Bandai Namco has revealed the main attraction of Patapon 1+2 Replay's big update — Boss Rush Challenge.
The mode uses your game-cleared save data; you have to organise your strongest squad and then take on bosses in a random order.
You can strengthen your army in the main game and come back stronger if you're unable to clear Boss Rush Challenge.
It's billed as "the ultimate high difficulty mission", so it's a proper end-game final challenge. Sounds like something fans of the games will enjoy.

Original Story: Patapon 1+2 Replay, the Bandai Namco remaster of PlayStation's cult favourite rhythm strategy games, is getting brand new stuff.
The publisher has teased a new game mode coming in a game update, slated for 22nd December 2025:
"A FREE update with brand-new game mode is coming to Patapon 1+2 Replay," reads the video's description, telling fans to "stay tuned" for more details.
It's not often you see a remaster like this get free DLC; the idea of brand new content coming to the original two Patapon games is pretty cool.
We've no idea what it might be, but presumably it'll be something fun for fans but nothing too huge. With the update coming in just a few days, it won't be long before we learn more.
